Objective: To examine the effectiveness of Chinese medicine(CM) lianhua Qingwen Granule(LHQW) and Jingyin Gubiao Prescription(JYGB) in asymptomatic or mild patients with Omicron infection in the shelter hospital. Methods: This single-center retrospective cohort study was conducted in the largest shelter hospital in Shanghai, China, from April 10, 2022 to May 30, 2022. A total of 56,244 asymptomatic and mild Omicron cases were included and divided into 4 groups, i.e., non-administration group(23,702 cases), LHQW group(11,576 cases), JYGB group(12,112 cases), and dual combination of LHQW and JYGB group(8,854 cases). The length of stay(LOS) in the hospital was used to assess the effectiveness of LHQW and JYGB treatment on Omicron infection. Results: Patients aged 41–60 years, with nadir cycle threshold(CT) value of N gene linear regression showed that LHQW and JYGB treatment were independent influence factors of LOS(both Plikely to accept CM. The LHQW/JYGB combination therapy could shorten the LOS of Omicron-infected individuals in an isolated environment.

In the era of time-domain,multi-messenger astronomy,the detection of transient events on the high-energy electromagnetic sky has become more important than *** gravitational wave high-energy electromagnetic counterpart all-sky monitor(GECAM)is a dedicated mission to monitor gamma-ray transients,launched in December,2020.A real-time on-board trigger and location software,using the traditional signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)method for blind search,is constrained to relatively bright signals due to the limitations in on-board computing resources and the need for real-time *** this work,we developed a ground-based pipeline for GECAM to search for various transients,especially for weak bursts missed by on-board *** pipeline includes both automatic and manual mode,offering options for blind search and targeted *** targeted search is specifically designed to search for interesting weak bursts,such as gravitational wave-associated gamma-ray bursts(GRBs).From the ground search of the data in the first year,GECAM has been triggered by 54 GRBs and other transients,including soft gamma-ray repeaters,X-ray binaries,solar flares,terrestrial gamma-ray *** report the properties of each type of triggers,such as trigger time and light *** this search pipeline and assuming a soft Band spectrum,the GRB detection sensitivity of GECAM is increased to about 1.1×10^(-8)erg cm^(-2)s^(-1)(10-1000 ke V,burst duration of 20 s).These results demonstrate that the GECAM ground search system(both blind search and targeted search)is a versatile pipeline to recover true astrophysical signals which were too weak to be found in the on-board search.

ENN is planning the next generation experimental device EHL-2 with the goal to verify the thermal reaction rates of p-11B fusion,establish spherical torus/tokamak experimental scaling laws at 10's keV ion temperature,and provide a design basis for subsequent experiments to test and realize the p-11B fusion burning *** on 0-dimensional（0-D） system design and 1.5-dimensional transport modelling analyses,the main target parameters of EHL-2 have been basically determined,including the plasma major radius,R0,of 1.05 m,the aspect ratio,A,of 1.85,the maximum central toroidal magnetic field strength,B0,of 3 T,and the plasma toroidal current,Ip,of 3 *** main heating system will be the neutral beam injection at a total power of 17 *** addition,6 MW of electron cyclotron resonance heating will serve as the main means of local current drive and MHD instabilities *** physics design of EHL-2 is focused on addressing three main operating scenarios,i.e.,（1） high ion temperature scenario,（2） high-performance steady-state scenario and（3） high triple product *** scenario will integrate solutions to different important issues,including equilibrium configuration,heating and current drive,confinement and transport,MHD instability,p-11B fusion reaction,plasma-wall interactions,*** that,there are several unique and significant challenges to address,including● establish a plasma with extremely high core ion temperature(Ti,0> 30 keV),and ensure a large ion-to-electron temperature ratio(Ti,0/Te,0> 2),and a boron concentration of 10%-15% at the plasma core;● realize the start-up by non-inductive current drive and the rise of MA-level plasma toroidal *** is because the volt-seconds that the central solenoid of the ST can provide are very limited;● achieve divertor heat and particle fluxes control including complete detachment under high P/R（> 20 MW/m） at relatively low electron *** overview will introduce the advanced progress in the ph

Carbon encapsulated magnetic nanoparticles （CEMNs） were synthesized by heating an aqueous glucose solution containing Fe-Au （Au coated Fe nanoparticles） nanoparticles at 160-180 ℃ for 2 h. This novel hydrothermal approach is not only simple but also provides the surface of CEMNs with functional groups like--OH. The formation of carbon encapsulated magnetic nanoparticles was not favored when using pure Fe nanoparticles as cores because of the oxidation of Fe nanoparticles by 1-120 during the reaction and, therefore, the surfaces of the naked Fe nanoparticles had to be coated by Au shell in advance. TEM, XRD, XPS and VSM measurments characterized that they were uniform carbon spheres containing some embedded Fe-Au nanoparticles, with a saturation of 14.6 emu/g and the size of the typical product is -350 nm.

Marine invertebrates serve as rich sources of secondary metabolites with intriguing chemical diversities and a wide spectrum of biological ***,marine shell-less sacoglossan mollusks have attracted much attentions due to the fact that mollusks apply complex metabolites as chemical defense agents against to their *** the purpose of discovering bioactive secondary metabolites to develop marine-derived medicines from the South China Sea,we have conducted a chemical study on the photosynthetic mollusk Placobranchus *** a result,seven newγ-pyrone polypropionates,namely(±)-ocellatuspyrone A(1),(±)-ocellatuspyrone B(2),and ocellatuspyrones C−G(5,9−12),along with fve known polypropionates,have been isolated and characterized from the South China Sea photosynthetic mollusk Placobranchus *** spectroscopic analysis,single crystal X-ray difraction analysis,modifed Mosher’s method,ECD comparison,CD exciton chirality method,TDDFT-ECD calculation,and chemical conversion were used to determine the structures and absolute confgurations of the new compounds and the stereochemistry of undefned known compounds 4,6 and *** these isolated polypropionates were evaluated in bioassays for their biological activities,including antibacterial,neuroprotective efect,anti-infammatory,PTP1B inhibitory,and antiviral *** 7,8 and 11 were found for the frst time to show antibacterial activity against fsh pathogenic bacteria Streptococcus parauberis(the main pathogen causing fsh streptococcal infections and acute death)with MIC values of 35.8,34.2,and 37.4μg/mL,respectively,which might be potential novel antibacterial agents for the treatment of fsh infectious diseases.

An improved method for the investigation of high-order harmonic generation from graphene

High-order harmonic generation (HHG) of bulk crystals in strong laser field is typically investigated with semiconductor Bloch equations (SBEs). However, in the length gauge, it suffers from the divergence for the crystals with a zero band gap, such as graphene, using both Bloch- and Houston-states expansion methods. Here, we present a method of solving the SBEs based on time-dependent Bloch basis, which is equivalent to semiconductor Bloch equations in the velocity gauge. Using this method, we investigate the HHG of a single-layer graphene. It is found that our results for population are in good agreement with the other results. For a initial condition py = 0, we find the electrons just move in single valence band or conduction band, which are in accord with classical results. Our simulations on the HHG dependence of polarization of driving laser pulse confirm that 5th, 7th, and 9th harmonic yields increase to the maximal value when laser ellipticity ε ≈ 0.3. What is more, similar to the case of atoms in the laser field, the total strength of 3rd harmonic decrease monotonically with the increase of ε. In addition, we simulate the dependence of HHG on crystallographic orientation with respect to the polarization direction of linear mid-infrared laser pulse, and the results reveal that for higher harmonics, their radiation along with the change of rotation angle θ reflects exactly the sixfold symmetry of graphene. Our method can be further used to investigate the behaviors of other materials having Dirac points (i.e., surface states of topological insulators) in the strong laser fields.

Ultrastable Y zeolite（USY）-supported Pt catalyst was prepared by gas-bubbling-assisted membrane reduction. The influence of reaction conditions and the metal and acid sites of catalysts on the catalytic performance of catalyst in hydrogenation and selective ring opening of tetralin, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene（THN）, was studied. It was found that the optimal reaction conditions were at a temperature of 280 °C, hydrogen pressure of 4 MPa, liquid hourly space velocity of 2 h^-1 and H2/THN ratio of 750. Under these optimal conditions, a high conversion of almost 100% was achieved on the 0.3 Pt/USY catalyst. XRD patterns and TEM images revealed that Pt particles were highly dispersed on the USY, favorable to the hydrogenation reaction of tetralin. Ammonia temperature-programmed desorption and Py-IR results indicated that the introduction of Pt can reduce the acid sites of USY, particularly the strong acid sites of USY. Thus, the hydrocracking reaction can be suppressed.
