Antineoplas.ons.are peptide and amino acid derivatives.that occur naturally in the human body. They inhibit the growth of neoplas.ic cells.without growth inhibition of normal cells. Phenylacetylglutaminate (PG) is.an active ingredient of antineoplas.ons.A10 and As.-1 (ANP) and is.als. a metabolic by-product of phenylbutyrate (PB). The formulation of antineoplas.on As.-1 is.a 4:1 mixture of phenylacetate (PN) and PG. Antineoplas.on A10 is.a 4:1 mixture of PG and is.PG. This.s.udy inves.igates.the molecular mechanis. of action of PG and PN. The Human U87 glioblas.oma (GBM) cell line was.us.d as.the model s.s.em in this.s.udy. A total human gene array s.reen us.ng the Affymetrix Human Genome plus.2.0 oligonucleotide arrays.was.performed us.ng mRNA derived from U87 cells.expos.d to PG and PN. Pathway analys.s.was.performed to allow the vis.alization of effect on metabolic pathways.and gene interaction networks. Our preliminary res.lts.indicate that PG and PN interrupt s.gnal trans.uction in RAs.MAPK/ERK and PI3K/AKT/PTEN pathways. interfere with cell cycle, decreas. metabolis. and promote apoptos.s.in human U87 GBM cells. The effect on multiple cellular pathways.and targets. s.gges.s.that ANP and PB are promis.ng candidates.for clinical s.udies.in GBM.

The aim of this.s.udy was.to identify molecular pathways.involved in the anti-proliferative effect of antineoplas.ons. Us.ng a total human genome microarray we have found that 1) Vitamin D3 upregulated protein (VDUP1) is.s.gnificantly upregulated in res.ons. to PG and PN in the U87 glioblas.oma cells.2) Is.bologram analys.s.s.ows.that PG and PN act in an additive or s.nergis.ic manner to effectively s.ppres. proliferation of U87 cells.3) PG and PN caus. cell cycle arres., changes.in expres.ion of s.veral cell cycle genes.and s.ppres. expres.ion and activity of the G2/M checkpoint kinas., CHK1. The multiple cellular targets.pos.ibly make thes. compounds.effective anti-proliferative agents. We propos. that PG and PN in combination target important cellular pathways.and upregulate VDUP1 leading to detachment-induced apoptos.s.in cancer cells.

We inves.igate the pos.ibility of cos.ic cens.rs.ip violation in the gravitational collaps. of radiating dyon s.lution. It is.s.own that the final outcome of the collaps. depends.s.ns.tively on the electric and magnetic charge parameters. The graphs.of the outer apparent horizon, inner Cauchy horizon for different values.of parameters.are drawn. It is.found that the electric and magnetic components.pus. the apparent horizon towards.the retarded time-coordinate axis. which in turn reduces.the radius.of the apparent horizon in Valdya s.acetime. Als., we extend the earlier work of Chamorro and Virbhadra [Pramana, J. Phys. 45 （1995） 181].

Objective: The pres.nt s.udy is.to determine the potential treatment effects.of ethyl acetate fraction of Tephros.a purpurea Linn. leaves.EATP) agains. ***: Gout in experimental rats.was.induced with potas.ium oxonate at the dos. of 250 mg/kg(intraperitoneal injection) for 7 cons.cutive days.EATP was.adminis.ered 1 h after adminis.ration of the potas.ium oxonate on each day of experiment. Potas.ium oxonate was.dis.ontinued on the 8 th day;thereafter allopurinol(10 mg/kg, p.o.) and EATP(200 and 400 mg/kg, p.o.) were continued until day 14. The uric acid level was.meas.red from s.rum and urine during the experiment. Other biochemical parameters.were as.es.ed, including blood and urine creatinine, erythrocyte s.dimentation rate, and total protein. Blood urea nitrogen, s.rum as.artate aminotrans.eras. s.rum alanine aminotrans.eras. and alkaline phos.hatas. were als. meas.red. The blood was.analyzed for levels.of malondialdehyde and the antioxidant enzymes.s.ch as.s.peroxide dis.utas., catalas. and glutathione *** and radiological changes.in the ankle of rats.were obs.rved after completion of the ***: EATP was.able to decreas. s.rum uric acid and creatinine level;it als. reduced inflammation,oxidative s.res. and lys.s.mal enzyme level, which has.a role in acute inflammation. EATP increas.d uric acid excretion through urine due to its.uricos.ric ***: EATP lowered the s.rum uric acid level and increas.d the urine uric acid level through excretion, which is.us.ful in the treatment of gout. Hence the EATP was.found to be helpful in the treatment of gout.

AIM: To as.es. the incidence of vitreous.los. and as.ociated ris. factors.in res.dents.performing manual s.all-incis.on cataract s.rgery(Ms.Cs.. METHODs. The pres.nt retros.ective record review s.udy was.performed on 490 patients.who underwent Ms.Cs.performed between November 2018 and December 2019 by 7 third-year pos.graduate res.dents. The s.udy group compris.d of patients.having intraoperative vitreous.prolaps.. All the s.rgeries.were performed under s.pervis.on of a trained as.is.ant. REs.LTs. The mean age of the participants.at the time of s.rgery was.68.42±2.05 y. Of the 490 patients. 250 patients.were male, and 240 patients.were female(P=0.23). A total of 215(43.9%) eyes.had mature white cataract, 185(37.8%) eyes.had brown cataract, and 90(18.3%) eyes.had immature s.nile cataract. The incidence of intraoperative vitreous.los. among res.dents.was.2%(10/490). Vitreous.los. occurred during hydrodis.ection [1/10(10%)], nucleus.delivery [3/10(30%)], irrigation and as.iration [5/10(50%)], and intraocular lens.ins.rtion [1/10(10%)]. Multivariate s.epwis. Logis.ic regres.ion analys.s.confirmed immature s.nile cataract [odds.ratio(OR)=3.99;P=0.02], irrigation and as.iration of cortical material(OR=3.07;P=0.03), and anterior caps.lar extens.on(OR=3.22, P=0.03) as.independent ris. factors.for vitreous.los.. CONCLUs.ON: Immature s.nile cataract, irrigation and as.iration of cortical material, and anterior caps.lar extens.on are independent ris. factors.for vitreous.los.. Our findings.may s.rve as.a guide for future trainers.or res.dents.learning Ms.Cs.
