Fiber-reinforced self-compacting concrete(FRSCC)is a typical construction material,and its compressive strength(CS)is a critical mechanical property that must be adequately *** the machine learning(ML)approach to estimating the CS of FRSCC,the current research gaps include the limitations of samples in databases,the applicability constraints of models owing to limited mixture components,and the possibility of applying recently proposed *** study developed different ML models for predicting the CS of FRSCC to address these *** neural network,random forest,and categorical gradient boosting(CatBoost)models were optimized to derive the best predictive model with the aid of a 10-fold cross-validation technique.A database of 381 samples was created,representing the most significant FRSCC dataset compared with previous studies,and it was used for model *** findings indicated that CatBoost outperformed the other two models with excellent predictive abilities(root mean square error of 2.639 MPa,mean absolute error of 1.669 MPa,and coefficient of determination of 0.986 for the test dataset).Finally,a sensitivity analysis using a partial dependence plot was conducted to obtain a thorough understanding of the effect of each input variable on the predicted CS of *** results showed that the cement content,testing age,and superplasticizer content are the most critical factors affecting the CS.

The aims of this study are to investigate the effects of Nd addition in the Mg-Al-Ca alloys on microstructure and mechanical *** of as-cast Mg-5Al-3Ca alloy containing Nd consists ofα-Mg matrix, eutectic phase and Al-Nd rich intermetallic *** Nd addition was increased,α-Mg matrix morphology was changed from dendritic to equiaxed grains and average value of grain size was *** addition to Mg-5Al-3Ca based alloys resulted in the formation of Al-Nd rich intermetallic compounds at grain boundary andα-Mg matrix *** these Al-Nd rich intermetallic compounds were dispersed *** these alloys,two kinds of eutectic phases were observed,*** irregular-shape structure at grain boundary and fine needle-shape structure in theα-Mg matrix *** is found that the ultimate strength showed the maximum value of 271 MPa at Mg-5Al-3Ca-2Nd alloy and elongation was decreased as the addition of Nd was increased.

Substitutional atomic doping of transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)in the chemical vapor deposition(CVD)process is a promising and effective strategy for modifying their physicochemical ***,the conventional CVD method only allows narrow-range modulation of the dopant concentration owing to the low reactivity of the ***,the growth of wafer-scale monolayer TMD films with high dopant concentrations is much more ***,we report a facile doping approach based on liquid precursor-mediated CVD process for achieving high vanadium(V)doping in the MoS_(2)lattice with excellent doping uniformity and *** lateral growth of the host MoS_(2)lattice and the reactivity of the V precursor were simultaneously improved by introducing an alkali metal halide as a reaction *** metal halide promoter enabled the wafer-scale synthesis of V-incorporated MoS_(2)monolayer film with excessively high doping *** excellent wafer-scale uniformity of the highly V-doped MoS_(2)film was confirmed through a series of microscopic,spectroscopic,and electrical analyses.

Herein,a facile synthetic strategy is proposed to fabricate high-performance electrocatalysts for rechargeable Zn-air batteries(ZABs).Heterostructured NiCo/NiCo_(2)S_(4) nanoparticles encapsulated in N-,S-co-doped CNT(NiCo/NiCo_(2)S_(4)@NSCNT) are synthesized via co-precipitation,thermal carbonization,and partial sulfidation *** strongly coupled NiCo/NiCo_(2)S_(4) heterostructure can improve the redox property and charge transfer ***,the CNTs with abundant foreign dopants provide high electrical conductivity and abundant defect sites for both the oxygen evolution reaction(OER) and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).The prepared NiCo/NiCo_(2)S_(4)@NSCNT electrocatalyst exhibits a low overpotential of 349 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm-2 and a half-wave potential of 0.865 V for the OER and ORR,***,the ZAB assembled using as-prepared NiCo/NiCo_(2)S_(4)@NSCNT can provide superior specific capacity(756.16 mA h g_(Zn)^(-1)],peak power density(155.82 mW cm^(-2)),and long-term cyclability compared to those of the precious metal-based electrocatalyst(Pt/C+RuO_(2)).

Rechargeable aluminum batteries(RABs),which use earth-abundant and high-volumetric-capacity metal anodes(8040 m Ah cm-3),have great potential as next-generation power sources because they use cheaper resources to deliver higher energies,compared to current lithium ion ***,the mechanism of charge delivery in the newly developed,ionic liquid-based electrolytic system for RABs differs from that in conventional organic ***,targeted research efforts are required to address the large overpotentials and cycling decay encountered in the ionic liquid-based electrolytic *** this study,a nanoporous carbon(NPC)electrode with well-developed nanopores is used to develop a high-performance aluminum *** negatively charged nanopores can provide quenched dynamics of electrolyte molecules in the aluminum deposition process,resulting in an increased collision *** fast chemical equilibrium of anionic species induced by the facilitated anionic collisions leads to more favorable reduction reactions that form aluminum *** nanoconfinement effect causes separated nucleation and growth of aluminum nanoparticles in the multiple confined nanopores,leading to higher coulombic efficiencies and more stable cycling performance compared with macroporous carbon black and 2D stainless steel electrodes.

Aldehyde and ketone compounds are ubiquitous in the air and prone to adverse effects on human *** emission is one of the major indoor *** to evaluate health risks associated with inhalation exposure to aldehyde and ketone compounds,13 carbonyl compounds(CCs)released from heating 5 edible oils,3 seasonings,and 2 dishes were investigated in a kitchen *** the scenarios of heating five types of oil,aldehydes accounted for 61.1%-78.0%of the total emission,mainly acetaldehyde,acrolein and ***,heating oil with added seasonings released greater concentrations of aldehyde and ketone *** concentration enhancement of larger molecular aldehydes was significantly *** emission factors of aldehyde and ketone compounds for cooking the dish of chili friedmeatweremuch greater compared to that of tomato fried ***,food materials also had a great impact on the aldehyde and ketone *** and acetaldehyde were the most abundant CCs in the *** concentrations ranged from 235.18 to 498.71μg/m^(3),which was about 100 times greater compared to the guidelines provided by Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment(OEHHA).The acetaldehyde inhalation for adultswas 856.83-1515.55μg and 56.23-192.79μg from exposure to chili fried meat and tomato fried eggs,*** exceeds the reference value of 90μg/day provided by *** findings of this study provided scientific evidences for the roles of cooking emissions on indoor air quality and human health.

BACKGROUND Intravascular large B-cell lymphoma(IVLBCL)is a rare subtype of extranodal *** particular,the Asian variant of IVLBCL is characterized by hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis along with bone marrow ***,central nervous system(CNS)involvement is uncommon in this variant compared to the Western ***,we report a case of typical Asian variant IVLBCL with highly suspected CNS involvement and discuss the nature of the disease and its genetic *** SUMMARY A 67-year-old female patient complained of gradually worsening cognitive *** hospitalized,she developed a high fever and showed marked *** imaging revealed a suspected leptomeningeal *** no malignant cells were found in the cerebrospinal fluid(CSF),the protein and lactate dehydrogenase levels in CSF were *** marrow examination revealed an increased number of hemophagocytic histiocytes,and 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose(FDG)positron emission tomography with computerized tomography scan revealed increased FDG uptake in both adrenal glands,the liver,and the right ethmoid sinus.A tissue biopsy showed atypical large lymphoid cells with prominent nucleoli in the vessels,and the tumor cells were positive for CD20,BCL2,BCL6,and IRF4/*** addition,targeted sequencing identified MYD88,TET2,and PIM1 ***,we diagnosed the patient with the Asian variant of IVLBCL with highly suspected CNS *** Suspicion of IVLBCL and immediate diagnosis lead to timely ***,careful CNS examination at diagnosis is recommended.

Dementia prevalence has soared due to population aging. In Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) as a pre-dementia stage, sleepdisturbances have raised much interest as a factor in a bidirectional relationship with cognitive decline. Thus, this studydeveloped the Sleep and Cognition Enhancement Multimodal Intervention (SCEMI) based on Lazarus’ multimodal approachand conducted a randomized controlled experiment to investigate the effects of the novel program on sleep and cognition inMCI elderly. The participants were 55 MCI elderly with sleep disturbances at two dementia care centers located in S-city,Gyeonggi-do, South Korea (n = 25 in the experimental group and n = 30 in the control group). The study period was fromNovember 01 to December 27, 2022. The experimental group received 8 sessions of SCEMI, 60 min per session once a *** control group received general education and guidance using a simplified booklet on the sleep and cognitive *** data collection, a self-reported questionnaire was used to investigate sleep quality, presleep arousal, cognitive function,stress, and depression. The results showed that, compared to the control group, the experimental group had significantlyimproved across all variables: sleep quality (U = 109.50, p < 0.001), presleep arousal (U = 11.50, p < 0.001), cognitive function(U = 72.00, p < 0.001), stress (U = 139.00, p < 0.001), and depression (U = 231.50, p = 0.015). Thus, the SCEMI appears topositively affect symptomatic improvement and delays the progression to dementia as an integrated intervention to enhancesleep and cognition in community-dwelling MCI elderly with sleep disturbances.
