The present study describes a simple, reliable and reproducible liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry method(LC–MS/MS) for the simultaneous determination of allopurinol and its active metabolite,oxypurinol in human plasma for a pharmacokinetic/bioequivalence study. After protein precipitation(PPT) of100 μL plasma sample with 1.0% formic acid in acetonitrile, the recovery of the analytes and allopurinol-d2 as an internal standard ranged from 85.36% to 91.20%. The analytes were separated on Hypersil Gold(150 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm) column using 0.1% formic acid-acetonitrile(98:2, v/v) as the mobile *** was done using electrospray ionization in the positive mode. The calibration concentration range was established from 60.0 to 6000 ng/m L for allopurinol and 80.0–8000 ng/m L for oxypurinol. Matrix effect in human plasma, expressed as IS-normalized matrix factors ranged from 1.003 to 1.030 for both the analytes. The developed method was found suitable for a clinical study with 300 mg allopurinol tablet formulation in healthy subjects.

A highly sensitive and selective high performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry method was developed and validated for the quantification of alverine（ALV） and its active metabolite, para hydroxy alverine（PHA）, in human plasma. For sample preparation, solid phase extraction of analytes was performed on Phenomenex Strata-X cartridges using alverine-d5 as the internal standard. The analytes were separated on Symmetry Shield rP18（150 mm×3.9 mm, 5 μm） column with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile and10 mM ammonium formate（65：35, v/v）. Detection and quantitation was done by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry in the positive mode using multiple reaction monitoring. The assay method was fully validated over the concentration range of 15.0–15,000 pg/mL for ALV and 30.0–15,000 pg/mL for PHA. The intra-day and inter-day accuracy and precision（% CV） ranged from 94.00% to 96.00% and 0.48% to 4.15% for both the analytes. The mean recovery obtained for ALV and PHA was 80.59% and 81.26%, respectively. Matrix effect,expressed as IS-normalized matrix factor ranged from 0.982 to 1.009 for both the analytes. The application of the method was demonstrated for the specific analysis of ALV and PHA for a bioequivalence study in 52 healthy subjects using 120 mg ALV capsules. The assay reproducibility was also verified by reanalysis of 175 incurred subject samples.

The TicS5 （Translocon at the inner envelope membrane of chloroplasts, 55 kDa） protein was identified in pea as a putative regulator, possibly linking chloroplast protein import to the redox state of the photosynthetic machinery. Two Tic55 homologs have been proposed to exist in Arabidopsis： atTic55-11 and AtPTC52 （Protochlorophyllide-dependent Trans- Iocon Component, 52 kDa; has also been called atTic55-1V）. Our phylogenetic analysis shows that attic55-11 is an ortholog of psTic55 from pea （Pisum sativurn）, and that AtPTC52 is a more distant homolog of the two. AtPTC52 was included in this study to rule out possible functional links between the proteins in Arabidopsis. No detectable mutant phenotypes were found in two independent T-DNA knockout mutant plant lines for each Arabidopsis protein, when compared with wild- type： visible appearance, chlorophyll content, photosynthetic performance, and chloroplast protein import, for example, were all normal. Both wild-type and tic55-11 mutant chloroplasts exhibited deficient protein import when treated with diethylpyrocarbonate, indicating that Tic55 is not the sole target of this reagent in relation to protein import. Furthermore, ptc52 mutant chloroplasts were not defective with respect to pPOrA import, which was previously reported to involve PTC52 in barley. Thus, we conclude that atTic55-11 and AtPTC52 are not strictly required for functional protein import in Arabidopsis.

Based on the fractal theory, the spatial structure of China＇s vegetation has been analyzed quantitatively in this paper. Some conclusions are drawn as the following. 1） The relationships between size and frequency of patch area and patch shape index exist objectively for China＇s vegetation. 2） The relationships between perimeter and area exist objectively for China＇s vegetation. 3） The fractal dimension of evergreen needleleaf forests on mountains in subtropical and tropical zones is the largest, while the smallest for deciduous broadleafand evergreen needleleaf mixed forests in temperate zone, reflecting the most complex spatial structure for evergreen needleleaf forests on mountains in subtropical and tropical zones and the simplest for deciduous broadleaf and evergreen needleleaf mixed forests in temperate zone. 4） The fractal dimensions of China＇s vegetation types tend to decrease from thc subtropics to both sides. 5） The stability of spatial structure of deciduous broadleaf and evergreen needleleaf mixed forests in temperate zone is the largest, while the smallest for double-cropping rice, or double-cropping rice and temperate-like grain, and tropical evergreen economic tree plantations and orchards, reflecting the steadiest for deciduous broadleaf and evergreen needleleaf mixed forests in temperate zone and the most unstable for double-cropping rice, or double-cropping rice and temperate-like grain, and tropical evergreen economic tree plantations and orchards in spatial structure. 6） The stability of spatial structure of China＇s vegetation tends to decrease from the temperate zone to both sides, it is significantly pertinent to understand the formation, evolution, dynamics and complexity rule of ecosystem of vegetation.

The fluoride ion removal from aqueous solution using synthesized Mg-Cr-Cl layered double hydroxide has been ***-Cr-Cl was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction,Fourier-transform infrared,thermo-gravimetric analysis,differential thermal analysis,and scanning electron *** experiments were carried out in batch mode as a function of adsorption dosages,contact time,pH,and initial fluoride concentration to get optimum adsorption *** adsorption kinetic study showed that the adsorption process followed first order *** fluoride removal was 88.5% and 77.4% at pH 7 with an adsorbent dose of 0.6 g/100 mL solution and initial fluoride concentration of 10 mg/L and 100 mg/L,*** equilibrium was established at 40 *** experiment data were fitted well with Langmuir isotherm with r 2 = *** constants were also measured and concluded that the adsorption process was spontaneous and endothermic in *** removal percentage decreased slowly with increasing *** process is suitable for industrial *** regeneration of the material is not possible.

To analyze the learning curve for cancer control from an initial 250 cases （Group I） and subsequent 250 cases （Group II） of robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy （rALP） performed by a single surgeon. Five hundred consecutive patients with clinically localized prostate cancer received rALP and were evaluated. Surgical parameters and perioperative complications were compared between the groups, Positive surgical margin （PSM） and biochemical recurrence （BCr） were assessed as cancer control outcomes. Patients in Group II had significantly more advanced prostate cancer than those in Group I （22.2% vs 14.2%, respectively, with Gleason score 8-10, P = 0.033; 12.8% vs 5.6%, respectively, with clinical stage T3, P = 0.017）. The incidence of PSM in pT3 was decreased significantly from 49% in Group I to 32.6% in Group Ih A meaningful trend was noted for a decreasing PSM rate with each consecutive group of 50 cases, including pT3 and high-risk patients. Neurovascular bundle （NVB） preservation was significantly influenced by the PSM in high-risk patients （84.1% in the preservation group vs 43.9% in the nonpreservation group）. The 3-year, 5-year, and 7-year BCr-free survival rates were 79.2%, 75.3%, and 70.2%, respectively. In conclusion, the incidence of PSM in pT3 was decreased significantly after 250 cases. There was a trend in the surgical learning curve for decreasing PSM with each group of 50 cases. NVB preservation during rALP for the high-risk group is not suggested due to increasing PSM.

This paper describes the experimental analysis and preliminary investigation of the predictability of pitch angle scattering(PAS) events through the electron cyclotron emission(ECE)radiometer signals at the ADITYA-Upgrade(ADITYA-U) tokamak. For low-density discharges at ADITYA-U, a sudden abnormal rise is observed in the ECE signature while other plasma parameters are unchanged. Investigations are done to understand this abrupt rise that is expected to occur due to PAS. The rise time is as fast as 100 μs with a single step and/or multiple step rise in ECE radiometer measurements. This event is known to limit the on-axis energy of runaway electrons. Being a repetitive event, the conditions of its repetitive occurrence can be investigated, thereby exploring the possibility of it being triggered and surveyed as an alternate runaway electron mitigation plan. Functional parameterization of such events with other discharge parameters is obtained and the possibility to trigger these events is *** code is used to investigate the possible interpretations for the PAS occurrence through modeling and supporting the ECE observations. The trigger values so obtained experimentally are set as input criteria for PAS occurrence. Preliminary modeling investigations provide reliable consistency with the findings.

A young Somali immigrant presents with a two-year history of a large, firm, painful right anterolateral chest wall sternal mass. The patient denied any history of trauma or infection at the site and did not have a fever, erythematous lesion at the site, clubbing, or lymphadenopathy. A lateral chest radiograph demonstrated a low density mass isolated to the subcutaneous soft tissue overlying the sternum, ribs and clavicle. Computed tomography(CT) with contrast demonstrated a cystic lesion in the right anterolateral chest wall deep to the pectoralis muscle. Enhanced CT of the chest demonstrated sclerosis and destruction of the rib and costochondral joint and manubrio-sternal joint narrowing. Ultrasound-guided biopsy and aspiration returned 500 cc of purulent, cloudy yellow, foul-smelling fluid. Acidfact bacilli stain and the nucleic acid amplification test identified and confirmed Mycobacterium tuberculosis. A diagnosis of tuberculous osteomyelitis/septic arthritis was made and antibiotic coverage for tuberculosis was initiated.

Objective:To investigate the naturally occurring antioxidant for the first time from the different solvent fractions of Hybanthus enneaspermus（***） Linn ***（Violaceae）. Methods:Different fractions of *** were tested for total phenolic content,and in vitro antioxidant activity was measured by total antioxidant assay,DPPH assay,reducing power, nitric oxide（NO）,hydrogen peroxide（H2O2） scavenging ***:The ethyl acetate（EA） fraction was found to have high levels of phenolic content[（212.15±0.79） mg GAE/g].The EA fraction exhibited higher total antioxidant capacity,higher percentage of DPPH radical scavenging activity[（127.07±2.29） Fg/mL],nitric oxide[（245.16±1.44）μg/mLJ,hydrogen peroxide[（227.38±7.18）μg/mL],deoxyribose[（270.61±8.72）μg/mL]and higher reducing *** was a significant correlation between total phenolic content and total antioxidant activity（r =0.972）. Conclusions:These results reveal that EA fraction of *** has strong antioxidant potential compared with other *** further study has been extended to the isolation of the possible compound that is responsible for having antioxidant property.
