The study is contextualized through evaluating the implementation of Local Agenda Action Plan (LAAP). The goal was to address environmental challenges facing a city under the framework of sustainable development and planning. The evaluation of this conceptual framework was tested at a selected municipality of Athens (Greece), that has used a LAAP. The research was based on a structured questionnaire survey of a sample of 300 respondents selected from municipal employees (100 persons) and citizens of the selected municipality (200 persons). Analysis and interpretation of data through descriptive and factor analysis statistics establish that both municipality employees and citizens are primarily concerned with issues of environmental management. They firmly believe that sustainability initiatives at municipality might best be implemented through a collaborative approach at the local community level, involving local citizens working in partnership with local government. Furthermore, the study established the importance of education, aware-ness and training as a response to environmental issues currently facing the municipality. The awareness and training activities should be developed and should involve the members of the community in the needed environmental manage-ment processes. In view of the Decade Education for Sustainable Development (UNESCO 2005-2015), this should en-able the Council to create opportunities for income generation, while simultaneously promoting citizens’ environmental responsible behaviors and improving service delivery by municipality employees.

On a global level,there is a tendency to conduct bibliographic studies about the creation of resilient communities in disaster *** resilience has a significant role when residents are called upon to recover from a natural disaster(Molavi,2018;Moreno,2018).Based on previous research in the existing literature and after the catastrophe in Mati,and even more specifically in continuation to the research of Vallianou et al.’s,2020,the present study goes a step further comparing for two populations the dimensions of volunteerism,philanthropy tendencies,and environmental awareness.A quantitative research was conducted through questionnaires via phone interviews and in person,one year after the wildfire,in Mati,*** sample consisted of participants from Mati and Skyros *** findings of the study revealed that natural disasters are interconnected to volunteerism,philanthropy,and environmental *** our research residents of Mati seem to score higher in environmental awareness in comparison to Skyros’residents who seem to have a stronger tendency on *** conclude,the age groups which seem to be more environmentally aware are the one of 46-55 and the one of 65 and above.

Before the end of 2019,no one would have ever imagined the rapid change that the Sars-Cov-2 pandemic was going to bring in people’s lives,all across the ***,we can clearly distinguish the effects it has caused,in multiple levels of everyday *** present article presents essential literature review points concerning the connection of personality characteristics and psychological aspects and COVID-19 influence on people’s lives,concerning the period until the end of ***,it examines how people reacted to the COVID-19 pandemic and how they formed their coping strategies depending on(a)personality characteristics based on“Big Five”and HEXACO,(b)Emotional Intelligence,(c)locus of *** also makes a basic reference to COVID-19 influence on mental health *** investigated the effects of the pandemic on people’s lives from a psychological sight,using methods of classifying personality traits such as the Big Five and *** addition,the four types of Emotional Intelligence were correlated with COVID-19 pandemic coping *** connection was made in Health Locus of Control as it presents the causal behavior depending on personal *** the psychological dimensions of COVID-19,it is clear that Emotional Intelligence has a positive effect on inclusion coping *** the same time,demographic factors also contribute in the way the individual manages the ***’s approach to health is directly influenced by the global or local view of it,and by observing behaviours,the attitude of citizens is evident according to what causes they *** conclusion it is a fact that the pandemic has led to an increase in mental disorders worldwide.
