Experimental Investigation of thermal Performance of novel Finned Radiators for Automotive Cooling System

Ameliorative Effects of Paclobutrazol via Physio-Biochemical and Molecular Manifestation in Rice under Water Deficit Stress

to comprehensively explore the physio-biochemical and molecular changes of paclobutrazol(PBZ) at the ideal dose under water deficit stress(WDS) conditions, we investigated the effects of 100 mg/kg PBZ applied via drenching on various physio-biochemical and molecular parameters in three rice varieties(n22, IR64, and IR64 DtY1.1) under both mild [75%-80% relative water cont.n.(RWC)] and severe(60%-65% RWC) WDS conditions. the results showed that PBZ treatment positively influenced the physio-biochemical parameters, significantly increasing dry matter(16.27%-61.91%), RWC(6.48%-16.34%), membrane stability index(4.37%-10.35%), and total chlorophyll cont.n.(8.97%-29.09%) in the rice varieties under both mild and severe WDS. Moreover, PBZ treatment reduced drought susceptibility(0.83-0.95) and enhanced drought tolerance efficiency(60.92%-86.78%), indicat.n. its pot.n.ial as a stress-mitigat.n. agent. Global methylation analysis revealed changes in DnA methylation patterns, indicat.n. the regulatory influence of PBZ on gene expression. the expression analysis of genes involved in the diversification of geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate towards the biosynthesis of abscisic acid, gibberellin acid, and chlorophyll showed alterations in their expression levels, suggest.n. the involvement of PBZ in the isoprenoid pathway. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the pot.n.ial mechanisms by which PBZ modulates physiological and molecular responses in rice plants under WDS. the findings highlight the import.n.e of PBZ as a promising agent for enhancing drought tolerance in rice and offer valuable information for future research in crop stress management.

Ethical decision-making in older drivers during critical driving situations: An online experiment

the present study examined the impact of aging on ethical decision-making in simulated critical driving scenarios.204 participants from north America,grouped into two age groups(18–30 years and 65 years and above),were asked to decide whether their simulated automated vehicle should stay in or change from the current lane in scenarios mimicking the trolley *** participant viewed a video clip rendered by the driving simulator at Old Dominion University and pressed the space-bar if they decided to intervene in the control of the simulated automated vehicle in an online *** hierarchical models were used to analyze participants’responses,response time,and acceptability of utilitarian ethical *** results showed significant pedestrian placement,age,and time-to-collision(ttC)effects on participants’ethical *** pedestrians were in the right lane,participants were more likely to switch lanes,indicat.n. a utilitarian approach prioritizing pedestrian *** participants were more likely to switch lanes in general compared to older *** results imply that older drivers can maintain their ability to respond to ethically fraught scenarios with their t.n.ency to switch lanes more frequently than younger counterparts,even when the tasks interact.n. with an automated driving *** current findings may inform the development of decision algorithms for intelligent and connected vehicles by considering pot.n.ial ethical dilemmas faced by human drivers across different age groups.

Hydro-uvarovite from Mantle Peridotites of naga Hills Ophiolite: A Mineral tracer for neo-tethyan Mantle Wedge Metasomatism

Hydrous Cr-bearing uvarovite garnets are rare in natural occurrences and belong to the ugrandite series and exist in binary solid solutions with grossular and andradite garnets. Here, we report the occurrence of hydrous uvarovite garnet having Cr_(2)O_(3) upto 19.66 wt% and CaO of 32.12–35.14 wt% in the serpent.n.zed mantle peridotites of naga Hills Ophiolite(nHO), India. they occur in association with low-Cr diopsides. they are enriched in LILE(Ba, Sr), LREEs, with fractionat.n. LREE-MREE [avg.(La/Sm)_(n) = 2.16] with flat MREE/HREE patterns [avg.(Sm/Yb)_(n) = 0.95]. Raman spectra indicate the presence of hydroxyl(OH^(–)) peaks from 3500 to 3700 cm^(-1). Relative abundances in fluid mobile elements and their close association with clinopyroxenes are suggestive of the formation of uvarovite garnets through low temperature metasomatic alteration of low-Cr diopsides by hydrothermal slab fluids. the high LREE concentration and absence of Eu anomaly in the garnet further attest to alkaline nature of the transport.n. slab dehydrated fluid rather the involvement of low-p H solution. the chemical characteristics of the hydroxyl bearing uvarovite hosted by the mantle peridotite of nHO deviate from the classical features of uvarovite garnet, and their origin is attributed to the fluid-induced metasomatism of the sub arc mantle wedge in a suprasubduction zone regime.
