Aim:to analyze the significance of RTI Tier 2 metaphonological and alphabetic principle program for Brazilian schoolchildren at risk for ***:a bibliographic review was carried out in the Scielo and Pubmed databases using the descriptors“intervention studies”,“reading”,“dyslexia”,and“learning”in Portuguese and English for the elaboration of RTI Tier 2 metaphonological and alphabetic principle program for schoolchildren at risk for *** program was designed based on the selection of strategies for metaphonological skills,knowledge of the alphabet,and grapheme-phoneme correspondence described in national and international *** stimuli(real words)and visual stimuli(pictures)were selected to be used in the intervention program *** stimuli were selected from a word bank according to length,regularity,and *** intervention program designed was composed of the following skills:letter-sound knowledge,syllable knowledge,syllabic segmentation,phonemic segmentation,syllabic addition,phonemic addition,syllabic subtraction,phonemic subtraction,syllabic substitution,phonemic substitution,syllabic combination,and phonemic *** program was structured with collective strategies and was applied in small groups of four to five schoolchildren aged six years and 11 months to seven years and 11 months in 50-minute ***:The results revealed that there was a change in the response pattern,showing better performance in the skills of the Early Identification of Reading Problems Protocol,demonstrating significance and positive change in post-testing situations when compared to ***:the program developed in this study proved to be effective and,in this way,it can be used as an intervention instrument based on scientific evidence that helps in the acquisition of skills necessary for the development of reading.

In the presence of developmental dyslexia, there is high probability of motor difficulties being present as well purposes: The purposes of this study were to characterize and compare the motor performance of students with dyslexia with students with good academic performance and to identify the presence of the DCD (developmental coordination disorder) co-occurring with developmental dyslexia. A total of 79 students participated in the research, both genders, from 8 to 11 years old, from 3rd to 5th grades, and were divided into Group I: 19 students with developmental dyslexia and Group II: 60 students with good academic performance. All the students were assessed using "The Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency" (second edition), to measure the motor skills and the pattern and differences between groups. The results of this study showed that the motor performance of Group II students was superior to the performance of students of Group I in almost all motor areas assessed but both groups performed less well than they should have for their chronological age. The results of this study indicate that occupational therapists, speech therapists and educators need to be aware of the presence of motor impairments and the need for early intervention in both the academic and clinical environments, in order to ensure that early identification and diagnosis of possible co-occurrences, such as DCD, and the impact on learning to guarantee more appropriate clinical and educational assistance for this population. This may also indicate that increased exposure to movement may be important to limit some of the secondary health consequences in children in Brazil.

With the COVID-19 pandemic,it was necessary to carry out public health measures,including the adoption of remote teaching and modification of the educational practices and experiences of parents and ***,the objective of this study was to conduct a systematic review and analyze the impact of the pandemic on the learning of schoolchildren in the early years of literacy,according to the experiences and practices of parents and *** systematic review is based on the PRISMA method(Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses)and the guiding questions of the PICO strategy(Population,Intervention,Comparison,Outcome).The PubMed,LILACS,Scopus,SciELO,Embase,and Web of Science databases were *** selection criteria involved the descriptors elementary school AND COVID-19,elementary school AND pandemic,and elementary school AND SARS-CoV-2.A total of 130 studies were selected,and after applying the criteria,only six studies were *** studies used interviews and questionnaires aimed at parents,teachers,and students and were carried out in various countries:one in Saudi Arabia,two in Indonesia,one in the United States of America,one in Canada,and one in *** studies were classified as Evidence Level 4(clinical outcome studies).As common points,most parents were stressed,overloaded,and unprepared to support their children during remote *** also mentioned difficulties,such as the lack of support and training,which affected their *** studies should be carried out to verify the educational and social impacts resulting from remote teaching.

Objectives:Compare and relate the performance of schoolchildren with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD)and with good academic performance in the visual-motor perceptual and reading ***:Twenty schoolchildren,of both genders,aged between nine and 11 years old,participated in this *** were divided into two groups:Group I(GI):comprising 10 students diagnosed with ADHD;and Group II(GII):10 students with good academic performance paired according to gender,age group,and educational level with *** students were submitted to the Developmental Test of Visual Perception(DTVP 3)and Reading Processes Assessment Protocol(PROLEC).Results:There was lower performance of GI compared to GII in the subtests of copying,eye-hand coordination,and figure-ground in the standard score of general visual perception and visual-motor *** presented lower performance in all reading processes except for the punctuation marks *** was a statistically significant difference in the comparison between GI and GII regarding the classification of reading processes.A relationship was identified between the reading and visual perception subtests in the GI students,demonstrating a relationship between the visual perceptual motor skills and the reading processes in the group of students with ***:Schoolchildren with ADHD performed less well than their peers with good academic performance in the visual-motor perceptual and reading skills;such that the worse their performance in the visual-motor perceptual processes,the worse their performance in the reading processes.

Normal mouse pluripotent stem cells were originally derived from the inner cell mass(ICM) of blastocysts and shown to be the in vitro equivalent of those pre-implantation embryonic cells, and thus were called embryonic stem cells(ESCs). More than a decade later, pluripotent cells were isolated from the ICM of human blastocysts. Despite being called human ESCs, these cells differ significantly from mouse ESCs, including different morphology and mechanisms of control of pluripotency, suggesting distinct embryonic origins of ESCs from the two species. Subsequently, mouse pluripotent stem cells were established from the ICMderived epiblast of post-implantation embryos. These mouse epiblast stem cells(Epi SCs) are morphological and epigenetically more similar to human ESCs. This raised the question of whether cells from the human ICM are in a more advanced differentiation stage than their murine counterpart, or whether the available culture conditions were not adequate to maintain those human cells in their in vivo state, leading to a transition into Epi SC-like cells in vitro. More recently, novel culture conditions allowed the conversion of human ESCs into mouse ESC-like cells called nave(or ground state) human ESCs, and the derivation of nave human ESCs from blastocysts. Here we will review the characteristics of each type of pluripotent stem cells, how(and whether) these relate to different stages of embryonic development, and discuss the potential implications of nave human ESCs in research and therapy.

Intestinal neuronal dysplasia type B(IND-B)is a controversial condition among gastrointestinal neuromuscular *** is its most common clinical manifestation in *** intense scientific research,there are still knowledge gaps regarding the diagnostic criteria for IND-B in the histopathological analysis of rectal *** guidelines published in the past three decades have directed diagnostic criteria for quantifying the number of ganglion cells in the nervous plexus of the enteric nervous ***,it is very complex to distinguish numerically what is pathological from what is normal,mainly because of the difficulty in determining a reliable control group composed of healthy children without intestinal ***,a series of immunohistochemical markers have been proposed to assist in the histopathological analysis of the enteric nervous *** of these markers facilitate the identification of other structures of the enteric nervous system,in addition to ganglion *** structures may be related to the etiopathogenesis of IND-B and represent new possibilities for the histopathological diagnosis of this disease,providing a view beyond the number of ganglion *** review critically discusses the aspects related to the disease definitions and diagnostic criteria of this organic cause of constipation.

Toward improving reforestation of Brazilian pine(Araucaria angustifolia),two contrasting sapling sizes in either full sun or in the shade of a mixed plantation and the effect of opening the canopy were evaluated for survival,growth,gas exchange,photosynthetic pigments,and leaf anatomy 18 months after being *** 23 months after planting,a partial opening was made in the canopy in the mixed plantation,then the saplings were evaluated again after 2 months for the same morphophysiological *** 18 months,saplings planted in the full sun had higher survival,growth,pigments,and photosynthesis compared to the shaded *** saplings had higher survival and growth compared to the small *** leaves were thinner and little differentiation of palisade parenchyma and *** opening of the canopy,photo synthetically active radiation was 10 times higher,and the saplings quickly grew in height due to increased ***,although the species can tolerate shade,growth in the shade is *** recommend that for reforestation purposes of Brazilian pine,large saplings should be selected and planted in the open for better development.

The article discusses the payment for ecosystem or environmental services markets in Brazil with a critical review, based on the ecological economics literature and focused on the concept of co-evolution. It is argued that the mainstream approach which considers ecosystem services as an externality has many shortcomings and fails to consider institutional and political aspects---all very critical for the design and implementation of a PES （Payment for ecosystem services） project or program. The complexity and the diversity of co-evolutionary relations between ecosystem services and socioeconomic activities are spatially or territorially specific. In this sense, different types of PES market have to adapt and coevolve with different ongoing development processes.

Intestinal neuronal dysplasia type B(IND-B) is a controversial entity among the gastrointestinal neuromuscular disorders. It may occur alone or associated with other neuropathies, such as Hirschsprung's disease(HD). Chronic constipation is the most common clinical manifestation of patients. IND-B primarily affects young children and mimics HD, but has its own histopathologic features characterized mainly by hyperplasia of the submucosal nerve plexus. Thus, IND-B should be included in the differential diagnoses of organic causes of constipation. In recent years, an increasing number of cases of IND-B in adults have also been described, some presenting severe constipation since childhood and others with the onset of symptoms at adulthood. Despite the intense scientific research in the last decades, there are still knowledge gaps regarding definition, pathogenesis, diagnostic criteria and therapeutic possibilities for IND-B. However, in medical practice, we continue to encounter patients with severe constipation or intestinal obstruction who undergo to diagnostic investigation for HD and their rectal biopsies present hyperganglionosis in the submucosal nerve plexus and other features, consistent with the diagnosis of IND-B. This review critically discusses aspects related to the disease definitions, pathophysiology and genetics, epidemiology distribution, clinical presentation, diagnostic criteria and therapeutic possibilities of this still little-known organic cause of intestinal chronic constipation.
