Designing electrocatalysts for HER in alkaline conditions to overcome the sluggish kinetics associated with the additional water dissociation step is a recognized challenge in promoting the hydrogen *** this end,delicately tuning the atomic-scale structure and surface composition of nanoparticles is a common strategy and,specifically,making use of hybrid structures,can produce synergistic effects that lead to highly active ***,we present a core-shell catalyst of Ag@MoS_(2)that shows promising results towards the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)in both 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4)and 0.5 M *** this hybrid structure,the MoS_(2)shell is strained and defective,and charge transfer occurs between the conductive core and the shell,contributing to the electrocatalytic *** shelling process results in a large fraction of Ag_(2)S in the cores,and adjusting the relative fractions of Ag,Ag_(2)S,and MoS_(2)leads to improved catalytic activity and fast charge-transfer *** suggest that the enhancement of alkaline HER is associated with a cooperative effect of the interfaces,where the Ag(Ⅰ)sites in Ag_(2)S drive the water dissociation step,and the formed hydrogen subsequently recombines on the defective MoS_(2)*** study demonstrates the benefits of hybrid structures as functional nanomaterials and provides a scheme to activate MoS_(2)for HER in alkaline conditions.

The magnetoelastic performance of 〈110〉 aligned polycrystalline Tb0.3Dy0.7Fe2 was investigated, It has been found that the strain-stress curve is nearly linear without magnetic field, reflecting the purely mechanical elastic properties of the Tb0.3Dy0.7Fe2 rod. The strain-stress curve exhibits a complex behavior in magnetic field and can be divided into three stages. The different stages are explained with magnetic domains in the Tb0.3Dy0.7Fe2 rod alloy and the higher the magnetic field, the larger the stress to switch domains. The Young＇s modulus is also obtained from measuring the strain-stress curve and the variability of Young＇s modulus as the strain is analyzed.

The effects of sublethal levels of nuracron,dimethylphosphate-3-hydroxy-N-methyl-cis-crotonamide(0,0.625× 10-6,1.25×10-6,2.5×10-6,5.0×10-6 and 10.0×10-6) on biochemical changes(aspartate transaminase,AST,E.C.2.***.1.1;alanine transaminase,ALT;2.***.2.2;alkaline phosphatase,ALP,EC 3.***.3.1) in the organs(kidney,liver,gill) and muscle tissues of hybrid catfi sh Heterobranchus bidorsalis,♂× Clarias gariepinus,♀ [mean weight,(277.76±53.11) g SD;mean total length,(35.69±2.80) cm,SD] were studied after a 23 d exposure in a renewal bioassay under laboratory ***,nuracron inhibited AST,ALT and ALP activities in all the exposure concentrations,with ALT activity being mostly *** most elicited enzyme was ALP in the kidney [(4 052.67±1610.45) IU/L],followed by AST in the muscle [(908.44±218.34) IU/L] and ALT in the liver [(160.29±73.68) IU/L].The ALP activity was 30.24 and 6.53 times greater than that of ALT and *** highest inhibition for AST(43.65%),ALT(47.88%) and ALP(57.98%) occurred at 10×10-6,0.625×10-6 and 2.5×10-6,*** activities of the enzymes in all the organs did not show any direct relationship with the exposure concentrations of the *** activity in the muscle generally suffered the most compared with the other *** activities of enzymes in the liver were generally inhibited,with elevation at 5.0×10-6 for all the *** lower concentrations of nuracron(0.625 ×10-6～2.5×10-6) caused elevation in the activities of ALP,but the reverse was the case with the higher concentrations;these of AST and ALT were *** relative activities of the various enzymes in the organs showed that the order for AST was liver>muscle>kidney>gill;that for ALT:liver>kidney,muscle>gill and that for ALP:kidney>gill>liver and ***,for AST and ALT the activities in the organs of the exposed fi sh peaked at 5.0×10-6 *** alteration in the activities of the enzymes indicated that the extract interfered with the Kreb's c

In this context, we applied the radial water jet drilling(RjD) technology to drill five horizontal holes into a quarry wall of the Gildehaus quarry close to Bad Bntheim, Germany. For testing the state-of-the-art jetting technology, a jetting experiment was performed to investigate the influence of geological heterogeneity on the jetting performance and the hole geometry, the influence of nozzle geometry and jetting pressure on the rate of penetration, and the possibility of localising the jetting nozzle utilizing acoustic activity. It is observed that the jetted holes can intersect fractures under varying angles, and the jetted holes do not follow a straight path when jetting at ambient surface condition. Cuttings from the jetting process retrieved from the holes can be used to estimate the reservoir rock permeability. Within the quarry, we did not observe a change in the rate of penetration due to jetting pressure *** monitoring was partially successful in estimating the nozzle location. Although the experiments were performed at ambient surface conditions, the results can give recommendations for a downhole application in deep wells.

Wheat is one of the major crops in the world,with a global demand expected to reach 850 million tons by 2050 that is clearly outpacing current *** continual pressure to sustain wheat yield due to the world’s growing population under fluctuating climate conditions requires breeders to increase yield and yield stability across *** are working to integrate deep learning into field-based phenotypic analysis to assist breeders in this *** have utilised wheat images collected by distributed CropQuant phenotyping workstations deployed for multiyear field experiments of UK bread wheat *** on these image series,we have developed a deep-learning based analysis pipeline to segment spike regions from complicated *** a first step towards robust measurement of key yield traits in the field,we present a promising approach that employ Fully Convolutional Network(FCN)to performsemantic segmentation of images to segment wheat spike *** also demonstrate the benefits of transfer learning through the use of parameters obtained from other image *** found that the FCN architecture had achieved a Mean classification Accuracy(MA)>82%on validation data and>76%on test data and Mean Intersection over Union value(MIoU)>73%on validation data and and>64%on test *** this phenomics research,we trust our attempt is likely to form a sound foundation for extracting key yield-related traits such as spikes per unit area and spikelet number per spike,which can be used to assist yield-focused wheat breeding objectives in near future.

Quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles have become the most commonly used flying robots with wide applications in recent *** paper presents a bioinspired control strategy by integrating the backstepping sliding mode control technique and a bioinspired neural dynamics *** effects of both disturbances and system and measurement noises on the quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle control performance have been addressed in this *** proposed control strategy is robust against disturbances with guaranteed stability proven by the Lyapunov stability *** addition,the proposed control strategy is capable of providing smooth control inputs under *** the modeling uncertainties,the adaptive sliding innovation filter is integrated with the proposed control to provide accurate state estimates to improve tracking ***,the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed control strategy provides satisfactory tracking performance for a quadrotor unmanned vehicle operating under disturbances and noises.
