Neuronal activity,synaptic transmission,and molecular changes in the basolateral amygdala play critical roles in fear ***(CYLD)is a deubiquitinase that negatively regulates the nuclear factor kappa-B *** is well studied in non-neuronal cells,yet underinvestigated in the brain,where it is highly *** studies have shown involvement of CYLD in the remodeling of glutamatergic synapses,neuroinflammation,fear memory,and anxiety-and autism-like ***,the precise role of CYLD in glutamatergic neurons is largely ***,we first proposed involvement of CYLD in cued fear *** next constructed transgenic model mice with specific deletion of Cyld from glutamatergic *** results show that glutamatergic CYLD deficiency exaggerated the expression of cued fear in only male ***,loss of CYLD in glutamatergic neurons resulted in enhanced neuronal activation,impaired excitatory synaptic transmission,and altered levels of glutamate receptors accompanied by over-activation of microglia in the basolateral amygdala of male ***,our study suggests a critical role of glutamatergic CYLD in maintaining normal neuronal,synaptic,and microglial *** may contribute,at least in part,to cued fear expression.

Coalescence Suppression in Flowing Polymer Blends Using silica Rods with Different Surface Chemistries

silica rods with homogeneous(hydrophilic or hydrophobic)and amphiphilic surface properties were synthesized and their efficiencies in suppressing the flow-induced droplet coalescence of immiscible polyisobutylene(PIB)/polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)blends were evaluated via in situ visualization *** flow-induced coalescence behavior of blends was found to strongly depend on the surface nature and concentration of silica rods added as well as the blend *** a trace amount of rods promoted coalescence,all kinds of rods demonstrated a morphology refinement effect at high rod *** compatibilization effects were obtained at high rod concentrations,especially for hydrophilic and amphiphilic *** on confocal laser scanning microscopy results,these phenomena observed were interpreted reasonably in terms of the selective distribution and aggregation of silica rods,which were suggested to be decisive for the stabilization mechanism and efficiency of these rods.

The solubilities of the quaternary system li^＋,K^＋,Mg2^＋//Cl^--H2O were investigated at 348 K via isothermal *** densities and refractive indices of its equilibrated solution were also determined *** the basis of the obtained data,the metastable phase diagram,the water content diagram,the diagrams of the density and refractive index against the composition of this quaternary system were *** quaternary system li^＋,K^＋,Mg^2＋//Cl^--H2O at 348 K belongs to a complex type with the formation of two carnallite double salts,which are potassium carnallite（K-carnallite） and lithium carnallite（li-carnallite）.There are five salts like potassium chloride （KCl）,lithium chloride monohydrate（liCl.H2O）,bischofite（MgCl2·6H2O）,K-carnallite（KCl·MgCl2·6H2O） and li-carnallite（liCl·MgCl2·7H2O）,seven unvariant curves named AH3,BH2,CH3,DH1,EH1,H1H2 and H2H3,and three invariant points,namely H1,H2 and H3,included in this metastable phase *** between the stable phase diagram at 298 K and metastable phase diagram at 348 K of this quaternary system show that all the crystalline forms of the salts are not changed,whereas the crystallization areas of salts are changed significantly with *** scope of KCl crystallization increases from 82% to 95% and that of K-carnallite decreases from 15.80% to 0.32% along with the temperature increasing from 298 K to 348 K,respectively.

Etoposide Induces Mitochondria-Associated Apoptotic Cell Death in Human Gastric Carcinoma Cells

Recent observations indicate that the resistance of apoptosis is an important process of tumor metastasis and metastases are the cause of 90% of human cancer death. Etoposide, a semisynthetic derivative of the podophyllotoxins, is a clinically used anti-cancer reagent, but the effects of it on metastatic gastric carcinoma cells are totally unknown. In this study, etoposide induced apoptotic cell death in human gastric adenocarcinoma cell line SGC-7901, derived from metastatic lymph nodes, as evidenced by the analysis of DNA fragmentation, apoptotic body formation, caspase activation, and apoptosis specific changes in cell morphology is demonstrated. The depolarization of mitochondrial membrane and the release of cytochrome c were most early events in etoposide treated SGC-7901 cells, and were followed by caspase-3 activation and PARP cleavage. Caspase-8 activation was not detected under the same condition. Thus, it was proposed that etoposide induces caspase-associated apoptotic cell death in human metastatic gastric carcinoma, which is initiated by mitochondrial cytochrome c release.

Correlation between the rock mass properties and maximum horizontal stress:A case study of overcoring stress measurements

Understanding the mechanical properties of the lithologies is crucial to accurately determine the horizontal stress *** investigate the correlation between the rock mass properties and maximum horizontal stress,the three-dimensional(3D)stress tensors at 89 measuring points determined using an improved overcoring technique in nine mines in China were adopted,a newly defined characteristic parameter C_(ERP)was proposed as an indicator for evaluating the structural properties of rock masses,and a fuzzy relation matrix was established using the information distribution *** results indicate that both the vertical stress and horizontal stress exhibit a good linear growth relationship with *** is no remarkable correlation between the elastic modulus,Poisson's ratio and depth,and the distribution of data points is scattered and ***,there is no obvious relationship between the rock quality designation(RQD)and *** maximum horizontal stress σ_(H) is a function of rock properties,showing a certain linear relationship with the C_(ERP)at the same *** addition,the overall change trend of σ_(H) determined by the established fuzzy identification method is to increase with the increase of C_(ERP).The fuzzy identification method also demonstrates a relatively detailed local relationship betweenσ_H and C_(ERP),and the predicted curve rises in a fluctuating way,which is in accord well with the measured stress data.

Incidence,predictors and prognosis of acute kidney injury in acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction patients undergoing emergent coronary angiography/primary percutaneous coronary intervention

BACKGROUND Acute kidney injury(AKI) after coronary angiography(CAG) and primary percutaneous coronary intervention(PPCI) is frequently observed, and often interpreted as contrast induced-AKI. This study aimed to investigate the incidence, predictors and outcomes of AKI in acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI) patients undergoing emergent CAG/PPCI using the control group of STEMI patients who were not exposed to contrast agents within the first 72 *** We performed a retrospective analysis of 1670 STEMI patients. Of them, 673 patients underwent emergent CAG/PPCI, and 997 patients treated with thrombolysis or no reperfusion therapy who were not exposed to contrast material during the first 72 h. AKI was defined as an increase of serum creatinine ≥ 44.2 mmol/L or ≥ 25% from baseline within 72 h. Patents were then followed up for the occurrence of all-cause mortality for 40 months(interquartile range: 24–55 months).RESULTS After propensity score matching, 505 pairs of patients were matched. Overall, the incidence of AKI was 27.4%, and AKI rates were not significantly different in patients with and without emergent CAG/PPCI procedure(27.5% vs. 27.3%, P = 0.944). Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified that the independent predictors of AKI were female, elevated interleukin-6 level,decreased lymphocyte count, left ventricular ejection fraction lip class Ⅲ(9.4% vs. 3.3%, P =0.005;15.2% vs. 6.8%, P = 0.003, respectively) and mortality(5.8% vs. 1.4%, P = 0.014;12.3% vs. 4.6%, P = 0.002, respectively) in patients with and without emergent CAG/PPCI. Multivariate Cox regression analysis confirmed that AKI was independently associated with long-term mortality rate at 40 months follow-up in patients with and without emergent CAG/PPCI(HR = 1.867, 95% CI:1.086–3.210, P = 0.024;HR = 1.7

Interfacial Zn2+-solvation regulator towards reversible and stable Zn anode

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AZIBs） are fundamentally challenged by the instability of the electrode/electrolyte interface,predominantly due to irreversible zinc （Zn） deposition and hydrogen ***,the intricate mechanisms behind the electrochemical discrepancies induced by interfacial Zn2+-solvation and deposition behavior demand comprehensive *** molecules endowed with special functional groups （such as hydroxyl,carboxyl,etc.） have the potential to significantly optimize the solvation structure of Zn2+and regulate the interfacial electric double layer （EDL）.By increasing nucleation overpotential and decreasing interfacial free energy,these functional groups facilitate a lower critical nucleation radius,thereby forming an asymptotic nucleation model to promote uniform Zn ***,this study presents a pioneering approach by introducing trace amounts of n-butanol as solvation regulators to engineer the homogenized Zn （H-Zn） anode with a uniform and dense *** interfacial reaction and structure evolution are explored by in/ex-situ experimental techniques,indicating that the H-Zn anode exhibits dendrite-free growth,no by-products,and weak hydrogen evolution,in sharp contrast to the bare ***,the H-Zn anode achieves a remarkable Zn utilization rate of approximately 20% and simultaneously sustains a prolonged cycle life exceeding 500 ***,the H-Zn//NH4V4O10（NVO） full battery showcases exceptional cycle stability,retaining 95.04%capacity retention after 400 cycles at a large current density of 5 A *** study enlightens solvation-regulated additives to develop Zn anode with superior utilization efficiency and extended operational lifespan.
