Targeted anticancer drugs block cancer cell growth by interfering with specific signaling pathways vital to carcinogenesis and tumor growth rather than harming all rapidly dividing cells as in cytotoxic *** Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumor(RECIST)system has been used to assess tumor response to therapy via changes in the size of target lesions as measured by calipers,conventional anatomically based imaging modalities such as computed tomography(CT),and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),and other imaging ***,RECIST is sometimes inaccurate in assessing the efficacy of targeted therapy drugs because of the poor correlation between tumor size and treatment-induced tumor necrosis or *** approach might also result in delayed identification of response when the therapy does confer a reduction in tumor *** molecular imaging techniques have rapidly gained importance in the dawning era of targeted therapy as they can visualize,characterize,and quantify biological processes at the cellular,subcellular,or even molecular level rather than at the anatomical *** review summarizes different targeted cell signaling pathways,various molecular imaging techniques,and developed ***,the application of molecular imaging for evaluating treatment response and related clinical outcome is also systematically *** the future,more attention should be paid to promoting the clinical translation of molecular imaging in evaluating the sensitivity to targeted therapy with biocompatible *** particular,multimodal imaging technologies incorporating advanced artificial intelligence should be developed to comprehensively and accurately assess cancer-targeted therapy,in addition to RECIST-based methods.

Electrocatalytic cleavage of a lignin β-O-4 model compound and coupling with nitrogen-containing aromatics using Prussian blue analogue-derived nickel–cobalt spinel

Two octaisobutyl-polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes(oib-POSS)reinforced biodegradable poly(ε-caprolactone)(PCL)composites were prepared via two different methods,i.e.,melt compounding and solution casting,which were named as m PCL/oib-POSS and s PCL/oibPOSS,respectively,in this ***-POSS dispersed finely in both composites;moreover,oib-POSS aggregates were larger in m PCL/oib-POSS than in s PCL/*** the different preparation methods,oib-POSS obviously promoted the crystallization of PCL,especially in s PCL/oib-POSS,but did not modify the crystal structure of *** storage moduli of PCL were improved significantly in both ***/oib-POSS composites with enhanced crystallization behavior and improved dynamic mechanical properties were successfully prepared through both methods;moreover,the solution casting method was more effective than the melt compounding method.

Enantioselective reductive conjugate alkenylation of α,β-enones with keto alkenyl acetates by nickel catalysis

Reactions involving alkenyl acetates offer cost-effective and environmentally friendly routes for alkene synthesis, yet their asymmetric variant remains elusive. Concurrently, asymmetric conjugate alkenylation predominantly centered on nucleophilic addition using alkenyl–M. This manuscript presents an asymmetric reductive conjugate alkenylation reaction involving alkenyl acetates. The method facilitates the enantioselective addition of keto alkenyl groups to α,β-enones, resulting in the formation of unsaturated diketones—a class of useful structural motifs that are challenging to access otherwise. The use of electron-rich Pyroxy ligand is essential for achieving both high reaction efficiency and enantioselectivity.

Automatic guided vehicles are widely used in various types of warehouses including the automated container *** paper provides a decision framework for port managers to design and schedule automatic guided vehicle routing plans under time-varying traffic conditions.A large number of computational experiments on a grid graph are conducted to validate the efficiency of the proposed decision *** also proposed one efficient queueing rule in automatic guided vehicle routing *** the complexity of the problem is high,computational results show that our proposed decision framework can provide high quality solutions within a relatively short computation time.

Protocol of Jidong Women Health Cohort Study: Rationale, Design, and Baseline Characteristics

Objective The Jidong Women Health Cohort Study is a prospective cohort study on female-specific characteristics and risks of chronic diseases in Chinese women and focuses on the potential association between menopause and risks of cardiovascular disease(CVD). Methods The study includes 4,179 female participants with an age of older than 18 years from Caofeidian district, Tangshan city, northern China. Baseline information on female-specific characteristics and potential cardiovascular risk factors was collected and all the participants underwent a physical examination with blood samples collected in 2013. To establish a better risk assessment tool of female CVD, updated information from questionnaire investigation, physical examinations and occurrence of outcome events will be collected through a longitudinal follow-up annually up to the year 2024. Results At baseline, Mean age of the participants was 42.3 ± 12.8 years. Reproduction occurred in 2,948 participants(70.5%), menopausal transition in 173(4.3%), and postmenopause in 1,058(25.3%). The incidence of arterial hypertension, dyslipidemia, and diabetes showed significant difference across different groups stratified by Stage of Reproductive Aging Workshop(STRAW) system(P sion The Jidong Women Health Cohort Study will contribute to the scientific evidence on association between female-specific characteristics and cardiovascular risks, and will also be helpful to provide a new path for early detection and prevention of CVD.

Two results about the multiplicity of nontrivial periodic bouncing solutions for sublinear damped vibration systems-x=g(t)x+f(t,x) are obtained via the Generalized Nonsmooth Saddle Point Theorem and a technique established by Wu Xian and Wang *** of them imply the condition "f≥0" required in some previous papers can be weakened,furthermore,one of them also implies the condition about ■F(t,x)/■t required in some previous papers,such as "|■F(t,x)/■t|=σ_(0)F(t,x)" and "|■F(t,x)/■t|≤C(1+F(t,x))", is unnecessary,where F(t,x):=∫_(0)~xf(t,x)ds,and σ_(0),C are positive constants.

A collocation interval analysis method for interval structural parameters and stochastic excitation

Uncertainty propagation, one of the structural engineering problems, is receiving increasing attention owing to the fact that most significant loads are random in nature and structural parameters are typically subject to variation. In the study, the collocation interval analysis method based on the first class Chebyshev polynomial approximation is presented to investigate the least favorable responses and the most favorable responses of interval-parameter structures under random excitations. Compared with the interval analysis method based on the first order Taylor expansion, in which only information including the function value and derivative at midpoint is used, the collocation interval analysis method is a non-gradient algorithm using several collocation points which improve the precision of results owing to better approximation of a response function. The pseudo excitation method is introduced to the solving procedure to transform the random problem into a deterministic problem. To validate the procedure, we present numerical results concerning a building under seismic ground motion and aerofoil under continuous atmosphere turbulence to show the effectiveness of the collocation interval analysis method.

A novel stochastic collocation method for uncertainty propagation in complex mechanical systems

This paper presents a novel stochastic collocation method based on the equivalent weak form of multivariate function integral to quantify and manage uncertainties in complex mechanical systems. The proposed method, which combines the advantages of the response surface method and the traditional stochastic collocation method, only sets integral points at the guide lines of the response surface. The statistics, in an engineering problem with many uncertain parameters, are then transformed into a linear combination of simple functions' statistics. Furthermore, the issue of determining a simple method to solve the weight-factor sets is discussed in detail. The weight-factor sets of two commonly used probabilistic distribution types are given in table form. Studies on the computational accuracy and efforts show that a good balance in computer capacity is achieved at present. It should be noted that it's a non-gradient and non-intrusive algorithm with strong portability. For the sake of validating the procedure, three numerical examples concerning a mathematical function with analytical expression, structural design of a straight wing, and flutter analysis of a composite wing are used to show the effectiveness of the guided stochastic collocation method.

Static response analysis of structures with interval parameters using the second-order Taylor series expansion and the DCA for QB

In this paper, based on the second-order Taylor series expansion and the difference of convex functions algo- rithm for quadratic problems with box constraints （the DCA for QB）, a new method is proposed to solve the static response problem of structures with fairly large uncertainties in interval parameters. Although current methods are effective for solving the static response problem of structures with interval parameters with small uncertainties, these methods may fail to estimate the region of the static response of uncertain structures if the uncertainties in the parameters are fairly large. To resolve this problem, first, the general expression of the static response of structures in terms of structural parameters is derived based on the second-order Taylor series expansion. Then the problem of determining the bounds of the static response of uncertain structures is transformed into a series of quadratic problems with box constraints. These quadratic problems with box constraints can be solved using the DCA approach effectively. The numerical examples are given to illustrate the accuracy and the efficiency of the proposed method when comparing with other existing methods.
