Brain abscess caused by Streptococcus anginosus group:Three case reports

BACKGROUND This case series investigated the clinical manifestations,diagnoses,and treatment of cerebral abscesses caused by Streptococcus *** retrospectively analyzed the clinical characteristics and outcomes of three cases of cerebral abscesses caused by Streptococcus anginosus and conducted a comprehensive review of relevant *** SUMMARY Case 1 presented with a history of left otitis media and exhibited high fever,confusion,and vomiting as primary *** pus culture indicated a brain abscess caused by Streptococcus constellatus *** 2.experienced dizziness for two days as the primary *** pus culture suggested an intermediate streptococcal brain *** 3:Enhanced head magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)and diffusion-weighted imaging revealed occupancy of the left temporal lobe,initially suspected to be a metastatic ***,a postoperative pus culture confirmed the presence of a brain abscess caused by Streptococcus anginosus *** three cases presented in this case series were all patients with community-acquired brain abscesses resulting from angina caused by Streptococcus group *** three patients demonstrated sensitivity to penicillin,ceftriaxone,vancomycin,linezolid,chloramphenicol,and *** treatment was achieved through stereotaxic puncture,drainage,and ceftriaxone administration with a six-week course of *** Preoperative enhanced head MRI plays a critical role in distinguishing brain tumors from *** the correct early diagnostic methods for brain abscesses and providing timely intervention are very *** case series was in accordance with the CARE guidelines.

Meiosis is a highly complex process significantly influenced by transcriptional ***,studies on the mechanisms that govern transcriptomic changes during meiosis,especially in prophase I,are ***,we performed single-cell ATAC-seq of human testis tissues and observed reprogramming during the transition from zygotene to pachytene *** event,conserved in mice,involved the deactivation of genes associated with meiosis after reprogramming and the activation of those related to spermatogenesis before their functional ***,we identified 2.2.transcriptional regulators(TRs)that underwent activation or deactivation subsequent to this *** suggested that physical contact signals from Sertoli cells may regulate these TRs in spermatocytes,while secreted ENHO signals may alter metabolic patterns in these *** results further indicated that defective transcriptional reprogramming may be associated with non-obstructive azoospermia(NOA).This study revealed the importance of both physical contact and secreted signals between Sertoli cells and germ cells in meiotic progression.

The multiple scattering cluster (MSC) method has been employed to perform a theoretical analysis on carbon is near edge X-ray absorption fine structure of the deuteron acetylene (C2.D2. adsorbed on si(111)7× 7 at room temperature. From the MSC study. it is confirmed that the (2.D2.molecule is bonded to a pair of adjacent si adatom and si restatom with C-si bond length about 0.18nm. The carbon-deuteron bond is bent away front the surface and the CCD bond angle is about 12.°. The molecule plane tilt slightly away from the surface normal. Compared with C2.2.in gas phase, the C-C bond and C-D bond are elongated by about 0.03nm and 0.02.m respectively when acetylene was adsorbed on the subtrate. Transbronchial needle aspiration(TBNA)is a commonly used sampling approach in the diagnosis of hilar and mediastinal lymphadenopathy as well as peripheral *** a very important tool,the continued innovation of TBNA needles is a vital driving force for the development of the *** TBNA plays an important role in interventional pulmonology,there are no clear standards guiding operators to choose an appropriate needle for their *** recent decades,with the advent of endobronchial ultrasound-guided TBNA(EBUS-TBNA),the real-time visualization of TBNA has been *** modern TBNA needles,such as ViziShot2.FLEX 19G,Acquire FNB,and EchoTip ProCore,have made significant progress in specimen collection,convenience,and safety,though still remain grounded in the basic premise and initial upgrades to the original conventional TBNA(cTBNA)*** review introduced the developmental history of WANG cTBNA needles,and summarized the lessons of success and failure and the enlightenments for currently used EBUS-and other emerging TBNA needles,aiming to provide a significant reference for pulmonologists who lived through the cTBNA era and for junior physicians who start working in the EBUS-TBNA *** its long history,TBNA is still playing significant roles in the diagnosis of pulmonary diseases.A deeper understanding from the historical perspectives would facilitate continued innovations in the field of TBNA and beyond.

NOX4 exacerbates Parkinson's disease pathology by promoting neuronal ferroptosis and neuroinflammation

Parkinson's disease is primarily caused by the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra ***,a novel form of regulated cell death characterized by iron accumulation and lipid peroxidation,plays a vital role in the death of dopaminergic ***,the molecular mechanisms underlying ferroptosis in dopaminergic neurons have not yet been completely *** oxidase 4 is related to oxidative stress,however,whether it regulates dopaminergic neuronal ferroptosis remains *** aim of this study was to determine whether NADPH oxidase 4 is involved in dopaminergic neuronal ferroptosis,and if so,by what *** found that the transcriptional regulator activating transcription factor 3 increased NADPH oxidase 4 expression in dopaminergic neurons and astrocytes in an 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2.3,6 tetrahydropyridine-induced Parkinson's disease *** oxidase 4 inhibition improved the behavioral impairments observed in the Parkinson's disease model animals and reduced the death of dopaminergic ***,NADPH oxidase 4 inhibition reduced lipid peroxidation and iron accumulation in the substantia nigra of the Parkinson's disease model ***,we found that NADPH oxidase 4 interacted with activated protein kinase Cαto prevent ferroptosis of dopaminergic ***,by lowering the astrocytic lipocalin-2.expression,NADPH oxidase 4 inhibition reduced 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2.3,6 tetrahydropyridine-induced *** findings demonstrate that NADPH oxidase 4 promotes ferroptosis of dopaminergic neurons and neuroinflammation,which contribute to dopaminergic neuron death,suggesting that NADPH oxidase 4 is a possible therapeutic target for Parkinson's disease.

目的:系统评价并整合护士对护理缺失的体验,为减少临床护士出现护理缺失提供建议。方法:计算机检索国内外数据库,收集有关护士对护理缺失体验的质性研究,检索时限为建库至2.2.年8月。运用Meta整合方法对纳入文献进行整合分析。结果:共纳入2.篇文献,归纳综合形成10个新类别,4个整合结果。整合结果一:较易出现临床护理缺失的类别;整合结果二:护理缺失造成的影响;整合结果三:造成临床护理缺失的因素;整合结果四:护士渴望改善护理缺失现状。结论:护理缺失类型多样、原因复杂、后果不良,护理管理者应关注这一现状,积极寻求解决方案,采取有效的预防措施减少护理缺失,从而提高临床照护品质,切实提升患者和护士满意度。
