Although traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has been a part of the Malaya and the Malaysia people’s method of maintaining health and well-being for many centuries,it was never been enrolled in the public health-care ***,the rising cost of Western drugs and the increasing number of people frequenting TCM has driven the government to search for cheaper options and to look into its safe *** 1992,the government mandated all TCM herbal products to be registered with the National Pharmaceutical Control *** TCM products sold in Malaysia are now Good Manufacturing Practice *** government has also established a Traditional and Complementary Medicine Division within the Ministry of *** 2008 and 2014,a traditional and complementary medicine unit was set up in major hospitals in all *** is one of the main services offered by the *** 2016,the government enacted the Traditional and Complementary Medicine Act to regulate the TCM ***,a 10-vear blueprint has been drawn to support the development of all traditional and complementary medicines in *** article aims to provide a brief overview on the regulatory development of TCM in Malaysia.

Energy storage and conservation are receiving increased attention due to rising global energy ***,the development of energy storage materials is *** energy storage(TES)systems based on phase change materials(PCMs)have increased in prominence over the past two decades,not only because of their outstanding heat storage capacities but also their superior thermal energy regulation ***,issues such as leakage and low thermal conductivity limit their applicability in a variety of ***-based materials such as graphene and its derivatives can be utilized to surmount these *** study examines the recent advancements in graphene-based phase change composites(PCCs),where graphene-based nanostructures such as graphene,graphene oxide(GO),functionalized graphene/GO,and graphene aerogel(GA)are incorporated into PCMs to substantially enhance their shape stability and thermal conductivity that could be translated to better storage capacity,durability,and temperature response,thus boosting their attractiveness for TES *** addition,the applications of these graphene-based PCCs in various TES disciplines,such as energy conservation in buildings,solar utilization,and battery thermal management,are discussed and summarized.

A new family of dibenzoullazine derivatives was synthesized through 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of polycyclic aromatic azomethine ylides with alkynylbenziodoxoles followed by *** benziodoxole moiety in the resulting products was used as a versatile linchpin for the synthesis of structurally diverse functional dibenzoullazines that are difficult to access by other synthetic methods.

Laser thinning of multilayer transition metal dichalcogenide(TMD)crystals has long been explored for its potential to produce localized domains of optically functional monolayers. Despite the high spatial control and resolution of the laser, the range of appropriate applications for these laser-thinned domains is still limited by the peripheral regions of unaltered thick multilayers. Herein, we report a newfound property of the laser-thinned regions to adhere strongly to the underlying substrate when lasered down to the monolayer limit. Upon a brief sonication in various solvents, the surrounding pristine multilayers can be lifted off, solely leaving behind the post-lasered monolayer patterns. Coupled with the flexible maneuver of the laser, various monolayer designs can be achieved, including micro-antenna, waveguide, and electrode geometries with lateral line widths at 1.5 μm resolution. Furthermore, we also detail the optical properties of the monolayers obtained from laser thinning, with those acquired from multilayers containing more defectbound excitons, whereas those lasered from bilayers presenting a trion-dominated profile similar to as-grown monolayers. Together, these findings allow for faster and more efficient multilayer removal and areal shaping of optically active monolayer domains, in comparison to multistep and complex standard lithographic etching(lithography–etch–develop)procedures.

Detecting MoS2 and MoSe2 with optical contrast simulation

Optical imaging is a promising method to identify and locate 2D materials efficiently and non-invasively. By putting a 2D material on a substrate, the nanolayer will add to an optical path and create a contrast to the case when the nanolayer is absent. This optical contrast imaging can be used to identify the 2D material and its number of layers. To make the optical imaging process in the laboratories an effective tool, Fresnel Law as a model was used to simulate the optical imaging results of 2D materials(graphene, Mo S2 and MoSe2) on top of different thickness of siO2and si wafer in the present investigation. The results provide the details of the optimal conditions(optimal light wavelength and optimal siO2thickness) to identify and locate single to few 2D nanolayers, which can be used directly in laboratories. The optical contrasts of 1–5 layers of molybdenum disulfide(MoS2) and molybdenum diselenide(MoSe2) were simulated. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first time that the optical contrast results of MoSe2have been reported. In particular, this work highlights the sensitivity of the model on the accuracy of the refractive indices used. It is demonstrated that through computational modeling that optical contrast can allow effective determination of number of layers in few layer 2D materials.
