Recently, intensive attempts have been made to design robust models for fine-grained visual recognition, most notably are the impressive gains for training with noisy labels by incorporating a reweighting strategy into a meta-learning framework. However, it is limited to up or downweighting the contribution of an instance for label reweighting approaches in the learning process. To solve this issue, a novel noise-tolerant method with auxiliary web data is proposed. Specifically, first, the associations made from embeddings of well-labeled data with those of web data and back at the same class are measured. Next, its association probability is employed as a weighting fusion strategy into angular margin-based loss, which makes the trained model robust to noisy datasets. To reduce the influence of the gap between the well-labeled and noisy web data, a bridge schema is proposed via the corresponding loss that encourages the learned embeddings to be coherent. Lastly, the formulation is encapsulated into the meta-learning framework, which can reduce the overfitting of models and learn the network parameters to be noise-tolerant. Extensive experiments are performed on benchmark datasets, and the results clearly show the superiority of the proposed method over existing state-of-the-art approaches.

Effect of Tanshinone IIA on High Glucose-induced Apoptosis and Oxidative Stress Damage in Vascular Endothelial Cells

Objective: The primary cause of microvascular disease in diabetic complications is long-term hyperglycemia, wherein the damage and apoptosis of vascular endothelial cells play a significant role. Sodium tanshinone IIA sulfonate(STS) has been found to have beneficial effects on cardiovascular health. This study aimed to investigate the impact of STS on high glucose-induced apoptosis and oxidative stress damage in vascular endothelial cells, as well as its potential protective mechanisms. Methods:Human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs) were divided into five groups:low-glucose group, high-glucose group, and three STS groups(STS-a, STS-b, and STS-c). The low-glucose group was incubated with DMEM low-sugar medium containing 5.5 mmol·L-1glucose, while the high-glucose group was treated with 33.3mmol·L-1glucose. The STS groups were exposed to 10, 30, and 50 μg·m L-1of STS,respectively. Each group was cultured for 72 h, and the MTT method was utilized to assess cell proliferation. Additionally, flow cytometry was employed to monitor changes in cell apoptosis and cellular oxidative stress indicators at 24, 48, and 72 h of cell culture in each group. Results: As time went on, the cell proliferation ability and apoptosis rate of each group gradually increased. The high-glucose group exhibited lower proliferation ability compared to the other groups. The STS-c group demonstrated the highest OD value for proliferation ability(24 h: 1.19±0.12; 48 h: 1.20±0.13; 72 h:1.25 ±0.12), but it was still lower than that of the low-sugar group. Notably, the high-glucose group had the highest cell apoptosis rate, while the low-glucose group had the lowest. The apoptosis rate of the STS-c group(24 h: 8.02±0.13; 48 h: 10.10±0.12;72 h: 13.18 ±0.11)% was between that of the low-glucose group and the high-glucose group, and lower than the STS-a and STS-b groups. Mechanochromic polymers based on non-covalent changes have attracted much attention ***,we report the impact of inter/intramolecular hydrogen bonds on polymer mechanochromism from the excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) ***-NH2-OH and PhMz=2A are designed and obtained by simple and high-yield synthesis,and are connected into polyurethane and poly(methyl acrylate-co-2-ethylhexyl acrylate),*** the initial state,the PhMz-NH2-OH@PU sample shows blue fluorescence from the excited enol form (E*) excitons,owing to intermolecular hydrogen bonds that interrupt the ESIPT reactions but the PhMz=2A@PMA-2-EA sample expresses cyan fluorescence belonging to the excited keto form (K*) emission,implying that the intramolecular hydrogen bonds ***,under stretching,external force can tune the emission of the PhMz=2A@PMA-2-EA sample from K* to E* *** external force can putatively still promote a bond rotation,ESIPT reactions remain equivalently interrupted in both the relaxed and stressed states in a hydrogen-bond donating *** calculation confirms the force-induced increase in dihedral angle for the transition of ESIPT-on/***,PhMz-NH2-OH@PU and PhMz=2A@PMA-2-EA showed disparate initial ESIPT states and further different responses/sensitivity to *** study reports a novel and efficient strategy for enriching mechanochromic investigation and extending the applications of ESIPT reactions.

In this work,a new treatment method combining ultrasonic vibration with FeCoNiCrCu high entropy alloy(HEA)coating was used to prepared Al/Mg bimetal through the lost foam compound *** effects of composite treatment involving ultrasonic vibration and HEA coating on interfacial microstructure and mechanical properties of Al/Mg bimetal were *** demonstrate that the interface thickness of the Al/Mg bimetal with composite treatment significantly decreases to only 26.99%of the thickness observed in the untreated Al/Mg *** HEA coating hinders the diffusion between Al and Mg,resulting the significant reduction in Al/Mg intermetallic compounds in the *** Al/Mg bimetal interface with composite treatment is composed of Al_(3)Mg_(2)and Mg_(2)Si/AlxFeCoNiCrCu+FeCoNiCrCu/δ-Mg+Al_(12)Mg_(17)eutectic *** interface resulting from the composite treatment has a lower hardness than that without *** acoustic cavitation and acoustic streaming effects generated by ultrasonic vibration promote the diffusion of Al elements within the HEA coating,resulting in a significant improvement in the metallurgical bonding quality on the Mg *** fracture position shifts from the Mg side of the Al/Mg bimetal only with HEA coating to the Al side with composite *** shear strength of the Al/Mg bimetal increases from 32.16 MPa without treatment to 63.44 MPa with ultrasonic vibration and HEA coating,increasing by 97.26%.

Metal nanoaggregates can simultaneously enhance the activity and stability of Fe-N-C catalysts in proton-exchange-membrane fuel cells（PEMFC）.Previous studies on the relevant mechanism have focused on the direct interaction between FeN4active sites and metal ***,the role of carbon support that hosts metal nanoaggregates and active sites has been ***,a Fe-N-C catalyst encapsulating inactive gold nanoparticles is prepared as a model catalyst to investigate the electronic tuning of Au nanoparticles（NPs） towards the carbon *** NPs donate electrons to carbon support,making it rich in π electrons,which reduces the work function and regulates the electronic configuration of the FeN4sites for an enhanced ORR ***,the electron-rich carbon support can mitigate the electron depletion of FeN4sites caused by carbon support oxidation,thereby preserving its high *** yield and accumulation of H2O2are thus alleviated,which delays the oxidation of the catalyst and benefits the *** to the electron-rich carbon support,the composite catalyst achieves a top-level peak power density of 0.74 W/cm2in a 1.5 bar H2-air PEMFC,as well as the improved *** work elucidates the key role of carbon support in the performance enhancement of the FeN-C/metal nanoaggregate composite catalysts for fuel cell application.

For a polymer/polymer dismissible blend with two crystallizable components,the crystallization behavior of different components and the reciprocal influences between different crystals are interesting and important,but did not investigate in *** this study,the L-poly(lactic acid)/polypropylene(PLLA/PP)blends with different weight ratios were prepared by melt mixing and the crystallization behavior of the blends were *** showed that the crystalline structures of PLLA and PP were not altered by the *** the crystallization of PLLA,both the diffusion of chain segments and crystallization rate were enhanced under the existence of PP *** the crystallization of PP,its crystallization rate was depressed under the existence of amorphous PLLA molecular *** the PP crystallized from the existence of PLLA crystals,although the diffusion rate of PP was reduced by PLLA crystals,the nucleation positions were obviously enhanced,which accelerated the formation of PP *** investigation would supply more basic data for the application of PLLA/PP blend.
