Objective: The primary cause of microvascular disease in diabetic complications is long-term hyperglycemia, wherein the damage and apoptosis of vascular endothelial cells play a significant role. Sodium tanshinone IIA sulfonate(STS) has been found to have beneficial effects on cardiovascular health. This study aimed to investigate the impact of STS on high glucose-induced apoptosis and oxidative stress damage in vascular endothelial cells, as well as its potential protective mechanisms. Methods:Human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs) were divided into five groups:low-glucose group, high-glucose group, and three STS groups(STS-a, STS-b, and STS-c). The low-glucose group was incubated with DMEM low-sugar medium containing 5.5 mmol·L-1glucose, while the high-glucose group was treated with 33.3mmol·L-1glucose. The STS groups were exposed to 10, 30, and 50 μg·m L-1of STS,respectively. Each group was cultured for 72 h, and the MTT method was utilized to assess cell proliferation. Additionally, flow cytometry was employed to monitor changes in cell apoptosis and cellular oxidative stress indicators at 24, 48, and 72 h of cell culture in each group. Results: As time went on, the cell proliferation ability and apoptosis rate of each group gradually increased. The high-glucose group exhibited lower proliferation ability compared to the other groups. The STS-c group demonstrated the highest OD value for proliferation ability(24 h: 1.19±0.12; 48 h: 1.20±0.13; 72 h:1.25 ±0.12), but it was still lower than that of the low-sugar group. Notably, the high-glucose group had the highest cell apoptosis rate, while the low-glucose group had the lowest. The apoptosis rate of the STS-c group(24 h: 8.02±0.13; 48 h: 10.10±0.12;72 h: 13.18 ±0.11)% was between that of the low-glucose group and the high-glucose group, and lower than the STS-a and STS-b groups. Photocatalytic reductive amination of biomass-derived aldehydes is a desirable way to selectively upgrade biomass into value-added nitrogen-containing chemicals under mild ***,it is challenging to produce imines in high selectivity because of the undesirable side reactions caused by the activity of functional ***,we demonstrate the highly reactive and selective production of imines from biomass derived aldehydes via the photocatalytic reductive amination,using a defective TiO_(2)supported nickel *** employment of methanol as the hydrogen donor and ammonia solution as the nitrogen source avoids the use of high-pressure H_(2)and expensive amines,rendering the current catalytic process safe,economical,and environmentally *** depth investigations attribute the improved separation and transfer of photogenerated charge carriers to the presence of oxygen vacancies and decorated Ni nanoparticles,thereby accelerating the production of imines from benzaldehyde amination(conversion,95.8%;seleetivity,95.2%).Furthermore,the developed system could be easily translated to the photocatalytic conversions of various biomass derived aldehydes,which provided an example of a cost-effective and sustainable approach for the valorization of biomass derived feedstocks.

We present a novel time-of-flight resolved Bessel light bullet-enabled stimulated Raman scattering(B2-SRS)microscopy for deeper tissue 3D chemical imaging with high resolution without a need for mechanical *** accomplish the tasks,we conceive a unique method to enable optical sectioning by generating the counterpropagating pump and Stokes Bessel light bullets in the sample,in which the group velocities of the Bessel light bullets are made ultraslow(e.g.,vg≈0.1c)and tunable by introducing programmable angular dispersions with a spatial light *** theoretically analyze the working principle of the collinear multicolor Bessel light bullet generations and velocity controls with the relative time-of-flight resolved detection for SRS 3D deep tissue *** have also built the B2-SRS imaging system and present the first demonstration of B2-SRS microscopy with Bessel light bullets for 3D chemical imaging in a variety of samples(e.g.,polymer bead phantoms,biological samples such as spring onion tissue and porcine brain)with high *** B2-SRS technique provides a>2-fold improvement in imaging depth in porcine brain tissue compared to conventional SRS *** method of optical sectioning in tissue using counter-propagating ultraslow Bessel light bullets developed in B2-SRS is generic and easy to perform and can be readily extended to other nonlinear optical imaging modalities to advance 3D microscopic imaging in biological and biomedical systems and beyond.

The hybrid cascaded high-voltage direct current(HVDC)transmission system has various operation modes,and some operation modes have sharply increasing requirements for protection rapidity,while the traditional pilot differential protection(PDP)has poor rapidity,and even refuses to operate when faults occur on the DC ***,a novel pilot protection scheme based on traveling wave characteristics is ***,the adaptability of the traditional PDP applied in engineering is analyzed for different operation ***,the expressions of the forward traveling wave(FTW)and backward traveling wave(BTW)on the rectifier side and the inverter side are derived for different fault *** the theoretical derivation,the difference between the BTW and FTW on the rectifier side is less than zero,and the same is true on the inverter ***,in the event of an external fault of DC line,the difference between the BTW and FTW at nearfault terminal protection installation point is greater than ***,by summing over the product of the difference between BTW and FTW of the rectifier side and that of the inverter side,the fault identification criterion is *** simulation results show that the proposed pilot protection scheme can quickly and reliably identify the short-circuit faults of DC line in different operation modes.

This paper considers the problem of approximating the infinite-horizon value function of the discrete-time switched LQR *** particular,the authors propose a new value iteration method to generate a sequence of monotonically decreasing functions that converges exponentially to the value *** method facilitates us to use coarse approximations resulting from faster but less accurate algorithms for further value iteration,and thus,the proposed approach is capable of achieving a better approximation for a given computation time compared with the existing *** numerical examples are presented in this paper to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
