Treatment outcome in children with central nervous system-positive Burkitt lymphoma using only intrathecal and systemic chemotherapy combined with rituximab

Background:With current chemotherapy treatment,>90%of survival has been obtained for Burkitt lymphoma(BL).In this study,the demographic characteristics and treatment outcomes are presented for 78 children in China with central nervous system-positive(CNS+)***:This retrospective study consecutively enrolled 78 CNS+BL patients in Beijing Children’s Hospital(BCH)from 2007 to 2019 who received the BCH B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma regimen(modified by French-American-British mature lymphoma B-cell 96[FAB/LMB96]C1 arm±rituximab).Clinical characteristics,methods of disease detection in the CNS,and outcomes were *** and multivariate analyses were used to assess prognostic ***:The median age of 65 boys and 13 girls at the time of diagnosis was 5.7 years(ranging from 1 to 14 years).Patients were followed up for a median time of 34 months(ranging from 1 to 72 months).Bone marrow invasion was found in 38(48.7%)*** were 48(61.5%),44(56.4%),and 25(32%)patients with cranial nerve palsy,intracerebral mass(ICM),and parameningeal extension,*** cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)morphology and CSF immunophenotype appeared in 15(19.2%)and 15(19.2%)patients,*** were 69(88.5%)patients treated with chemotherapy combined with rituximab,and nine patients were treated solely with ***,five patients died of treatment-related infection,recurrence occurred for 13,and one developed a second *** 3-year overall survival and event-free survival rates were 78.9%±4.7%and 71.4%±6.0%,*** with chemotherapy only,ICM positivity,and>4 organs involved at diagnosis were independent risk ***:Rituximab combined with a modified LMB96 regimen has greatly increased the efficacy of treatment for Chinese children with CNS+BL,and with the continuous collection of outcome data,treatment-related complications are *** further verification,a large sample multicentre randomized controll

低温环境是密封件应用中的一种特殊运行工况,会对密封件的性能产生影响,甚至会造成密封失效,密封件的低温性能研究非常必要。文中通过对高压断路器液压操动机构密封件的多个样本进行测试分析,借助计算机辅助工程分析(CAE),模拟了材料的特性,并分别建立密封件的仿真分析模型,在不同温度和工作载荷工况下进行了仿真分析,探究了液压操动机构典型密封件的低温运行能力及不同厂家密封产品的密封效果,并经样机低温试验验证,证明仿真分析与试验结果基本吻合,为密封件的制造、应用及液压操动机构的可靠性改善提供指导和数据支持。

Numerical study of directional heat transfer in composite materials via controllable carbon fiber distribution

Carbon fiber reinforced polyamide 12(CF/PA12),a new material renowned for its excellent mechanical and thermal properties,has drawn significant industry *** the steady-state research to heat transfer,a series of simulations to investigate the heat transfer properties of CF/PA12 were conducted in this ***,by building two-and three-dimensional models,the effects of the porosity,carbon fiber content,and arrangement on the heat transfer of CF/PA12 were examined.A validation of the simulation model was carried out and the findings were consistent with those of the ***,the simulation results using the above models showed that within the volume fraction from 0% to 28%,the thermal conductivity of CF/PA12 increased greatly from 0.0242 W/(m·K)to 10.8848 W/(m·K).The increasing porosity had little influence on heat transfer characteristic of CF/*** direction of the carbon fiber arrangement affects the heat transfer impact,and optimal outcomes were achieved when the heat flow direction was parallel to the carbon *** research contributes to improving the production methods and broadening the application scenarios of composite materials.

Gene Expression Data Classification Using Consensus Independent Component Analysis

We propose a new method for tumor classification from gene expression data, which mainly contains three steps. Firstly, the original DNA microarray gene expression data are modeled by independent component analysis （ICA）. Secondly, the most discriminant eigenassays extracted by ICA are selected by the sequential floating forward selection technique. Finally, support vector machine is used to classify the modeling data. To show the validity of the proposed method, we applied it to classify three DNA microarray datasets involving various human normal and tumor tissue samples. The experimental results show that the method is efficient and feasible.

Hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) is a group of neurodegenerative diseases. The genotypes and phenotypes of HSP are extremely heterogenous. SPG3A is one of the identified genes underlying HSP, and codes for a GTPase, atlastin. Mutations in SPG3A are currently believed to be associated with early onset and mild phenotypes. And most structura predictions could not detect gross changes in the mutant protein. However, in a severely affected HSP family we have identified a novel SPG3A mutation, c.1228G>A (p.G410R), in a Tibetan kindred. The mutation occurred at the highly conserved nucleotide and co-segregated with the disease, and was absent in the control subjects. Structural predictions showed that the Tibetan mutation occurred at the linking part between the guanylate-binding protein domain (GB, the ball region) and the transmembrane helices (TM, the rod region) at the start point of an α-helix, which may disrupt the helix, and cause changes in the overall structure of the transmembrane region of the molecule. Our results indicate that severe pheno- types can also arise from SPG3A mutations and the linking part of the guanylate-binding protein domainand the transmembrane helices might be crucial in determining the severity of the disease. This paper not only presents the first SPG3A mutational report from the Chinese population, but also provides po- tential evidence for a possible correlation between the severity of the phenotypes of HSP with the ex- tension of the changes in the protein structures of atlastin.
