An Environment‑Tolerant Ion‑Conducting Double‑Network Composite Hydrogel for High‑Performance Flexible Electronic Devices

High-performance ion-conducting hydrogels(ICHs)are vital for developing flexible electronic ***,the robustness and ion-conducting behavior of ICHs deteriorate at extreme tempera-tures,hampering their use in soft *** resolve these issues,a method involving freeze–thawing and ionizing radiation technology is reported herein for synthesizing a novel double-network(DN)ICH based on a poly(ionic liquid)/MXene/poly(vinyl alcohol)(PMP DN ICH)*** well-designed ICH exhibits outstanding ionic conductivity(63.89 mS cm^(-1) at 25℃),excellent temperature resistance(-60–80℃),prolonged stability(30 d at ambient temperature),high oxidation resist-ance,remarkable antibacterial activity,decent mechanical performance,and ***,the ICH performs effectively in a flexible wireless strain sensor,thermal sensor,all-solid-state supercapacitor,and single-electrode triboelectric nanogenerator,thereby highlighting its viability in constructing soft electronic *** highly integrated gel structure endows these flexible electronic devices with stable,reliable signal output *** particular,the all-solid-state supercapacitor containing the PMP DN ICH electrolyte exhibits a high areal specific capacitance of 253.38 mF cm^(-2)(current density,1 mA cm^(-2))and excellent environmental *** study paves the way for the design and fabrication of high-performance mul-tifunctional/flexible ICHs for wearable sensing,energy-storage,and energy-harvesting applications.

Energy efficiency issues are being focused on the growing concern of global warming and environmental *** high-temperature heat pipe(HTHP) is an effective and environmental-friendly heat transfer device employed in many industries,including solar power generation,high-temperature flue gas waste heat recovery,industrial furnaces,nuclear industries,and *** a critical factor in HTHPs,thermal performance is mainly introduced in the entire *** date,most reviews have been published concerning one or several application ***,to the best of authors' knowledge,it is hard to find a review discussing how to improve the thermal performance of HTHPs ***,the impact on the performance of three main components of HTHPs over the past 30 years is introduced:the working fluid,the HTHP structure,and the wick ***,it is a considerable review of the optimal operating conditions for each direction,and we expect this paper contribute to improving the thermal performance of ***,current numerical simulations and theoretical research on the heat transfer limit of HTHPs are *** significant hypotheses used in numerical simulations and the present theoretical studies are compiled ***,some potential future directions and tentative suggestions for HTHP research are put forward.

Multi-layer quasi-zero-stiffness meta-structure for high-efficiency vibration isolation at low frequency

An easily stackable multi-layer quasi-zero-stiffness(ML-QZS)meta-structure is proposed to achieve highly efficient vibration isolation performance at low ***,the distributed shape optimization method is used to design the unit cel,i.e.,the single-layer QZS(SL-QZS)***,the stiffness feature of the unit cell is investigated and verified through static ***,the unit cells are stacked one by one along the direction of vibration isolation,and thus the ML-QZS meta-structure is ***,the dynamic modeling of the ML-QZS vibration isolation metastructure is conducted,and the dynamic responses are obtained from the equations of motion,and verified by finite element(FE)***,a prototype of the ML-QZS vibration isolation meta-structure is fabricated by additive manufacturing,and the vibration isolation performance is evaluated *** results show that the vibration isolation performance substantially enhances when the number of unit cells *** importantly,the ML-QZS meta-structure can be easily extended in the direction of vibration isolation when the unit cells are properly ***,the ML-FQZS vibration isolation meta-structure should be a fascinating solution for highly efficient vibration isolation performance at low frequency.

Neural-field-assisted transport-of-intensity phase microscopy: partially coherent quantitative phase imaging under unknown defocus distance

The transport-of-intensity equation(TIE) enables quantitative phase imaging(QPI) under partially coherent illumination by measuring the through-focus intensities combined with a linearized inverse reconstruction algorithm. However, overcoming its sensitivity to imaging settings remains a challenging problem because of the difficulty in tuning the optical parameters of the imaging system accurately and because of the instability to long-time measurements. To address these limitations, we propose and experimentally validate a solution called neural-field-assisted transport-of-intensity phase microscopy(NFTPM) by introducing a tunable defocus parameter into neural field. Without weak object approximation, NFTPM incorporates the physical prior of partially coherent image formation to constrain the neural field and learns the continuous representation of phase object without the need for training. Simulation and experimental results of He La cells demonstrate that NFTPM can achieve accurate, partially coherent QPI under unknown defocus distances, providing new possibilities for extending applications in live cell biology.

Preparation of baicalin colon-targeted granules and its intervention effect on ulcerative colitis in rats

Baicalin(BA)is a flavonoid extracted from the dried root of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi with excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory biological *** this study,Eudragit S100 was used as the colonic target material to prepare BA colonic targeting granules(EBCGs)based on plasticizer dry powder coating technology to improve the targeting transportation performance of *** vitro studies showed that EBCGs with pH-sensitive properties were successfully prepared by plasticizer dry powder coating,and in vivo animal imaging studies showed that EBCGs could deliver BA to the colon and inhibit the release of BA in the upper gastrointestinal tract(GIT).In vivo studies showed that EBCGs had good therapeutic effects in colitis,which reduced expression levels of tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α)and interleukin-1β(IL-1β)and increased superoxide dismutase(SOD)activities in the colonic tissues of rats with *** conclusion,Eudragit S100 could be used for the preparation of multi-unit oral colon-targeted formulations by plasticizer dry powder coating technology,and our prepared EBCGs had good colon-targeting properties,which could improve the therapeutic effect and provide a potential application for ulcerative colitis(UC).

Limit state analysis of rigid retaining structures against seismically induced passive failure in heterogeneous soils

Soils are not necessarily uniform and may present linearly varied or layered characteristics,for example the backfilled soils behind rigid retaining *** the presence of large lateral thrust imposed by arch bridge,passive soil failure is possible.A reliable prediction of passive earth pressure for the design of such wall is challenging in complicated soil strata,when adopting the conventional limit analysis *** order to overcome the challenge for generating a kinematically admissible velocity field and a statically allowable stress field,finite element method is incorporated into limit analysis,forming finiteelement upper-bound(FEUB)and finite-element lower-bound(FELB)***-static,original and modified pseudo-dynamic approaches are adopted to represent seismic acceleration *** generating feasible velocity and stress fields within discretized elements based on specific criteria,FEUB and FELB formulations of seismic passive earth pressure(coefficient K_(P))can be derived from work rate balance equation and stress *** to an interior point algorithm,optimal upper and lower bound solutions are *** proposed FEUB and FELB procedures are well validated by limit equilibrium as well as lower-bound and kinematic *** studies are carried out to investigate the effects of influential factors on seismic K_(P).Notably,true solution of K_(P) is well estimated based on less than 5%difference between FEUB and FELB solutions under such complex scenarios.

2D all-organic perovskites refine flexible electronics

Recent years have witnessed a paradigm shift with the advent of perovskites,a class of materials with a distinct CaTiO_(3)-type crystalline structure that show remarkable promise across a wide array of applications,including photovoltaics,photodetectors,lighting,lasers,and so *** them,the development of two-dimensional(2D)perovskites has garnered significant attention due to their tunable structures(mainly Dion-Jacobson and Ruddlesden-Popper structures)and enhanced stability in comparison with their 3D counterparts[1].Amidst the burgeoning research on perovskites,on the other side,all-organic perovskites stand out as a particularly intriguing subset[2].Unlike traditional perovskites that typically comprise all-inorganic(e.g.,CsPbBr_(3))or organic-inorganic hybrid components(e.g.,(PEA)_(2)PbI_(4)),all-organic perovskites are composed entirely of carbon-or nitrogen-based molecules.

The Unprecedented Extreme Anticyclonic Anomaly over Northeast Asia in July 2021 and Its Climatic Impacts

This study investigates the evolution of an extreme anomalous anticyclone(AA)event over Northeast Asia,which was one of the dominant circulation systems responsible for the catastrophic extreme precipitation event in July 2021 in Henan,and further explores the significant impact of this AA on surface temperatures beneath *** results indicate that this AA event over Northeast Asia was unprecedented in terms of intensity and *** AA was very persistent and extremely strong for 10 consecutive days from 13 to 22 July *** long-lived and unprecedented AA led to the persistence of warmer surface temperatures beyond the temporal span of the pronounced 500-hPa anticyclonic signature as the surface air temperatures over land in Northeast Asia remained extremely warm through 29 July ***,the sea surface temperatures in the Sea of Japan/East Sea were extremely high for 30 consecutive days from 13 July to 11 August 2021,persisting well after the weakening or departure of this *** results emphasize the extreme nature of this AA over Northeast Asia in July 2021 and its role in multiple extreme climate events,even over remote ***,possible reasons for this long-lasting AA are explored,and it is suggested to be a byproduct of a teleconnection pattern over extratropical Eurasia during the first half of its life cycle,and of the Pacific-Japan teleconnection pattern during the latter half.

液态燃料熔盐堆在停堆后通过建立熔盐自然循环,将堆芯中的衰变余热非能动地传导至环境,但主回路中熔盐的衰变发热将影响回路排热能力。为得到该种非能动系统的热工特性,给出自然循环模型的分析依据,明确熔盐物性、回路结构和设备阻力系数K对自然循环的影响。利用自编Python分析程序,建立液态燃料熔盐堆的非能动余热排出回路自然循环模型,分析回路中熔盐的温度分布;考察反应堆堆芯在余热排出过程中,关键因素对余热排出能力的影响规律。研究结果表明:当系统回路中熔盐存在衰变热时,堆芯熔盐可通过自然循环带走的热量相对减少。根据重要性分析结果,燃料盐密度、比热容和冷热芯高度差等是影响自然循环能力的重要参数,当这三个参数值分别增加15%时,余热排出能力分别提升26.02%、15.00%和18.59%。由此可见,熔盐物性、回路结构和设备阻力系数均会影响自然循环排热能力。

A coupled thermo-mechanical peridynamic model for fracture behavior of granite subjected to heating and water-cooling processes

Thermal damage and thermal fracture of rocks are two important indicators in geothermal mining *** paper investigates the effects of heating and water-cooling on granite specimens at various *** laboratory uniaxial compression experiments were also ***,a coupled thermo-mechanical ordinary state-based peridynamic(OSB-PD)model and corresponding numerical scheme were developed to simulate the damage of rocks after the heating and cooling processes,and the change of crack evolution process was *** results demonstrate that elevated heating temperatures exacerbate the thermal damage to the specimens,resulting in a decrease in peak strength and an increase in ductility of *** escalating occurrence of thermal-induced cracks significantly affects the crack evolution process during the loading *** numerical results accurately reproduce the damage and fracture characteristics of the granite under different final heating temperatures(FHTs),which are consistent with the test results in terms of strength,crack evolution process,and failure mode.
