BACKGROUND Butylphthalide(NBP)and edaravone(EDV)injection are common acute ischemic stroke medications in China,but there is a lack of large real-world safety studies on *** study aimed to determine the incidence of adverse events,detect relevant safety signals,and assess the risk factors associated with these medications in real-world *** In this study,data of acute ischemic stroke patients were extracted from the electronic medical record database of six tertiary hospitals between January 2019 and August *** confounders were eliminated using propensity score *** drugs’safety was estimated by comparing the results of 24 laboratory tests standards on liver function,kidney function,lipid level,and coagulation *** drugs’relative risk was estimated by logistic regression.A third group with patients who did not receive NBP or EDV was constructed as a *** sequence symmetry analysis was used to evaluate the associations between adverse events and NBP and EDV,*** 81,292 patients were included in this *** propensity score matching,the NBP,EDV,and third groups with 727patients in each *** the 15 test items,the incidence of adverse events was lower in the NBP group than in the EDV group,and the differences were statistically *** multivariate logistic regression equation revealed that NBP injection was not a promoting factor for abnormal laboratory test results,whereas EDV had statistically significant effects on aspartate transaminase,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and total *** sequence symmetry analysis showed that NBP had a weak correlation with abnormal platelet *** had a positive signal associated with abnormal results in gamma-glutamyl transferase,alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,prothrombin time,and platelet *** In a large real-world population,NBP has a lower incidence of adverse events and a

Highly Cis-1,4 Selective Polymerization of Conjugated Dienes Catalyzed by ^-heterocyclic Carbene-ligated Neodymium Complexes

Neodymium complexes containing N heterocyclic carbene(NHC)ligands,NdCl5[1,3,R(NCH=)2C]-THF,(Nd1:R=2,6-Pr2C6H3,x=0;Nd2:R=2,6-Et2C6H3,x=1;Nd3:R=2.4,6-Me3C6H2,x=1)were synthesized and employed as precatalysts for the coordination polymerization of conjugated dienes(butadiene and isoprene).In combination with trisobutylaluminium(TIBA),Nd1 promoted butadiene polymerization to produce extremely high cis-1,4(up to 99.0%)polybutadienes with high molecular weight(Mw=250-780 kg·mol 1).The Nd1/TIBA catalytic system also exhibited both high catalytic activity and cis-1,4 selectivity(up to 97.8%)for isoprene *** catalytic activity,molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of resulting polydienes were directly influenced by Al/Nd molar ratio,aging method,and polymerization *** interestingly,the high cis-1,4 selectivity of the catalyst towards butadiene and isoprene kept almost unchanged under different reaction *** cis-1,4 polyisoprenes with high molecular weight(Mw=210-530 kg·mol 1)and narrow molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn=1.9-2.7)as well as high cis-1.4 selectivity(-~97%)could be synthesized by using the aged Nd1/TIBA catalytic system in the presence of isoprene(100 equivalent to Nd)at low AlNd molar ratios of *** with low molecular weights(Mw=12-76 kg·mol-7)and narrow molecular weight distributions (Mw/Mn=1.7-2.6)were obtained by using Nd2 and Nd3 as precatalysts,indicating that the molecular weight of resulting polyisoprenes can be adjusted by changing the substitutes of ligand in Nd complex.

Exact solutions of non-Hermitian chains with asymmetric long-range hopping under specific boundary conditions

We study the one-dimensional general non-Hermitian models with asymmetric long-range hopping and explore how to analytically solve the systems under some specific boundary *** the introduction of long-range hopping terms prevents us from finding analytical solutions for arbitrary boundary parameters,we identify the existence of exact solutions when the boundary parameters fulfill some constraint relations,which give the specific boundary *** analytical results show that the wave functions take simple forms and are independent of hopping range,while the eigenvalue spectra display rich model-dependent ***,we find the existence of a special point coined as pseudo-periodic boundary condition,for which the eigenvalues are the same as those of the periodical system when the hopping parameters fulfill certain conditions,whereas the eigenstates display the non-Hermitian skin effect.

Effects of fulvic acid and humic acid from different sources on Hg methylation in soil and accumulation in rice

Humus is often used as an organic modifier to reduce the bioaccumulation of heavy metals in plants, but the effects of different humus components from different sources on the fate of mercury(Hg) in paddy fields are still unclear. Here, fulvic acid(FA) and humic acid(HA) extracted from composted straw(CS), composted cow dung(CCD), peat soil(PM) and lignite coal(LC) were used to understand their effects on the methylation and bioaccumulation of Hg in paddy soil by pot experiments. Amendments of both FA and HA largely increased the abundance of Hg-methylating microbes and low-molecular-weight organic matters(e.g, cysteine) in paddy soil. They were also found to change the aromaticity, molecular size and Chromophoric DOM concentration of DOM, and resulted in heterogeneous effects on migration and transformation of Hg. All the FA-amended treatments increased the mobility and methylation of Hg in soil and its absorption in roots. Nevertheless, FA from different sources have heterogeneous effects on transport of Hg between rice tissues. FA-CCD and FA-PM promoted the translocation of Me Hg from roots to rice grains by 32.95% and 41.12%, while FA-CS and FA-LC significantly inhibited the translocation of inorganic Hg(IHg) by 52.65% and 66.06% and of Me Hg by 46.65% and 36.23%, respectively. In contrast, all HA-amended treatments reduced the mobility of soil Hg, but promoted Hg methylation in soil. Among which, HA-CCD and HA-PM promoted the translocation of Me Hg in rice tissues by 88.95% and 64.10%, while its accumulation in rice grains by 28.43% and 28.69%, respectively. In general, the application of some FA and HA as organic modifiers to reduce Hg bioaccumulation in rice is not feasible.

Interactions between Bioactive Diperoxovanadate Complexes and Imidazole: Insights into Their Solution Structures by NMR and ESI-MS

The interactions between four high bioactive diperoxovanadate complexes Kn[OV(O2)2L]mH2O (n = 1~3, m = 1~5, L = oxalate (abbr. oxa), picolinate (abbr. pic), bipyridine (abbr. bipy) and 1,10-phenanthroline (abbr. phen); their corresponding complexes abbreviated as bpV(oxa), bpV(pic), bpV(bipy) and bpV(phen), respectively) and imidazole (abbr. imi) in solution were studied by several NMR techniques: multinuclear (1H, 13C and 51V) and variable temperature 51V NMR. Competitive coordination interactions were observed and the order of the interaction strength of the four complexes with imidazole is as follows: bpV(oxa) > bpV(pic) > bpV(bipy) > bpV(phen), which is deeply affected by the identity of the ligands and has the same order as their inhibition effect toward bovine heart phosphotyrosyl protein phosphatase. The species [OV- (O2)2(imi)]- was formed in all cases. Both of the NMR data and equilibrium constants of the interaction systems were reported. The experimental results indicate that the species of bpV(oxa) and [OV(O2)2(imi)]- are six-coordinated, while bpV(pic), bpV(bipy) and bpV(phen) are seven- coordinated in solution. ESI-MS results support the conclusions obtained by NMR.

THEORY AND METHOD FOR WETLAND BOUNDARY DELINEATION

Based on the analysis of the subjectivity of wetland boundary criteria and their causes at present, this paper suggested that, under the condition that the mechanism of wetland formation process has not been understood, "black box" method of System Theory can be used to delineate wetland boundaries scientifically. After analyzing the difference of system construction among aquatic habitats, wetlands and uplands, the lower limit of rooted plants was chosen as the lower boundary criterion of wetlands. Because soil diagnostic horizon is the result of the long-term interaction among all environments, and it is less responsive than vegetation to short-term change, soil diagnostic horizon was chosen as the indicator to delineate wetland upper boundary, which lies at the thinning-out point of soil diagnostic horizon. Case study indicated that it was feasible using the lower limit of rooted plants and the thinning-out point of soil diagnostic horizon as criteria to delineate the lower and upper boundaries of wetland. In the study area, the thinning-out line of albic horizon was coincident with the 55.74m contour line, the maximum horizon error was less than 1m, and the maximum vertical error less than 0.04m. The problem on wetland definition always arises on the boundaries. Having delineated wetland boundaries, wetlands can be defined as follows: wetlands are the transitional zones between uplands and deepwater habitats, they are a kind of azonal complex that are inundated or saturated by surface or ground water, with the lower boundary lying at the lower limit of rooted plants, and the upper boundary at the thinning-out line of upland soil diagnostic horizon.

Identification of a New Peptide Deformylase Gene From Enterococcus faecium and Establishment of a New Screening Model Targeted on PDF for Novel Antibiotics

Objective To identify a new peptide deformylase (PDF) gene (Genebank Accession AY238515) from Enterococcus faecium and to establish a new screening model targeted on PDF. Methods A new PDF gene was identified by BLAST analysis and PCR and was subsequently over-expressed in the prokaryotic expression host *** Bl21(DE3). Over-expressed protein was purified for enzymatic assay by metal affinity chromatography and a new screening model was established for novel antibiotics. Result A new PDF gene of Enterococcus faecium was identified successfully. Ten positive samples were picked up from 8000 compound library and the microbial fermentation broth samples. Conclusion A new PDF of gene Enterococcus faecium was first identified and the model had a high efficacy. Positive samples screened may be antibacterial agents of broad spectrum.

Positivity of Toeplitz Operators on Harmonic Bergman Space

In this paper, we study positive Toeplitz operators on the harmonic Bergman space via their Berezin transforms. We consider the Toeplitz operators with continuous harmonic symbols on the closed disk and show that the Toeplitz operator is positive if and only if its Berezin transform is nonnegative on the disk. On the other hand, we construct a function such that the Toeplitz operator with this function as the symbol is not positive but its Berezin transform is positive on the disk. We also consider the harmonic Bergman space on the upper half plane and prove that in this case the positive Toeplitz operators with continuous integrable harmonic symbols must be the zero operator.

Ruin Probability and Joint Distributions of Some Actuarial Random Vectors in the Compound Pascal Model

The compound negative binomial model, introduced in this paper, is a discrete time version. We discuss the Markov properties of the surplus process, and study the ruin probability and the joint distributions of actuarial random vectors in this model. By the strong Markov property and the mass function of a defective renewal sequence, we obtain the explicit expressions of the ruin probability, the finite-horizon ruin probability, the joint distributions of T, U（T - 1）, ｜U（T）｜ and inf U（n）（i.e., the time of ruin, the surplus immediately before ruin, the deficit at ruin and maximal deficit from ruin to recovery） and the distributions of some actuarial random vectors.
