Metal-free two-dimensional phosphorene-based electrocatalyst with covalent P-N heterointerfacial reconstruction for electrolyte-lean lithium-sulfur batteries

The use of lithium-sulfur batteries under high sulfur loading and low electrolyte concentrations is severely restricted by the detrimental shuttling behavior of polysulfides and the sluggish kinetics in redox ***-dimensional(2D)few layered black phosphorus with fully exposed atoms and high sulfur affinity can be potential lithium-sulfur battery electrocatalysts,which,however,have limitations of restricted catalytic activity and poor electrochemical/chemical *** resolve these issues,we developed a multifunctional metal-free catalyst by covalently bonding few layered black phosphorus nanosheets with nitrogen-doped carbon-coated multiwalled carbon nanotubes(denoted c-FBP-NC).The experimental characterizations and theoretical calculations show that the formed polarized P-N covalent bonds in c-FBP-NC can efficiently regulate electron transfer from NC to FBP and significantly promote the capture and catalysis of lithium polysulfides,thus alleviating the shuttle ***,the robust 1D-2D interwoven structure with large surface area and high porosity allows strong physical confinement and fast mass ***,with c-FBP-NC as the sulfur host,the battery shows a high areal capacity of 7.69 mAh cm^(−2) under high sulfur loading of 8.74 mg cm^(−2) and a low electrolyte/sulfur ratio of 5.7μL mg^(−1).Moreover,the assembled pouch cell with sulfur loading of 4 mg cm^(−2) and an electrolyte/sulfur ratio of 3.5μL mg^(−1) shows good rate capability and outstanding *** work proposes an interfacial and electronic structure engineering strategy for fast and durable sulfur electrochemistry,demonstrating great potential in lithium-sulfur batteries.

Cu-substituted nickel hexacyanoferrate with tunable reaction potentials for superior ammonium ion storage

In this work,a variety of Cu_(x)Ni_(2-x)Fe(CN)_(6)(x=0,0.4,0.8,1.2,1.6,2)cathodes for ammonium ion batteries are prepared and their electrochemical performances are *** the introduction of copper in nickel hexacyanoferrate,the electrochemical performance varies without changing the structure of nickel *** increase of Cu content in nickel hexacyanoferrate leads to the enhancement of reaction potential and *** results suggest that the substitution of Cu for Ni has a positive effect on improving the cycling stability and rate capacity of nickel hexacyanoferrate when x in Cu_(x)Ni_(2-x)Fe(CN)_(6)is less than ***,Cu_(0.4)Ni_(1.6)Fe(CN)_(6)exhibits the best cycling per-formance(capacity retention of 97.54%at 0.3 C)and the highest rate capacity(41.4 mAh g^(-1)at 10 C)in Cu_(x)Ni_(2-x)Fe(CN)_(6).Additionally,the X-ray diffraction(XRD)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)tests also reveal that the structural evolution of Cu_(0.4)Ni_(1.6)Fe(CN)_(6)is highly reversible upon NH_(4)^(+)***,this work proposes a candidate material for ammoniumion batteries and offers a novel avenue for adjusting the operating potential of the material.

Efficacy and safety of Yangxue Qingnao Granules in treatment of migraine:A systematic review and meta-analysis

BACKGROUND Yangxue Qingnao Granules(YXQN)is a Chinese patent medicine that has been commonly used in the clinical treatment of *** To assess the efficacy and safety of YXQN alone for the treatment of *** We searched 10 databases to identify relevant randomized controlled trials(RCTs)published before September *** review authors independently searched and screened the literature,extracted the data,and assessed the methodological quality of the studies using criteria from ROB 2.0,and analyzed the data using Review Manager 5.4 *** A total of 12 RCTs including 767 participants with migraine met the selection *** divided these studies into comparisons of YXQN with placebo,routine treatment drugs,and other Chinese patent *** meta-analysis showed the following:(1)Efficacy:The YXQN group outperformed the placebo group[relative risk(RR)=0.29,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.15–0.43,P<0.00001],routine treatment group(RR=0.18,95%CI:0.09–0.27,P<0.0001),and Chinese patent medicine group(RR=0.27,95%CI:0.13–0.41,P<0.001);(2)frequency of headache:There was a significant difference between YXQN vs placebo[mean difference(MD)=-1.25,95%CI:-1.60 to-0.90,P<0.00001],routine treatment drugs(MD=-0.85,95%CI:-1.15 to-0.56,P<0.00001),and Chinese patent medicine(MD=-0.91,95%CI:-1.35 to-0.46,P<0.0001);(3)headache duration:We found great heterogeneity between studies,with no differences between YXQN and placebo(MD=-0.61,95%CI:-1.53 to-0.31,P=0.19)and routine treatment drugs(MD=-0.22,95%CI:-0.89 to 0.46,P<0.53).YXQN was more effective than other Chinese patent medicines in reducing headache duration(MD=-1.24,95%CI:-1.70 to-0.77,P<0.00001);and(4)headache severity:There was no significant difference between YXQN vs placebo(MD=-1.67,95%CI:-3.52 to 0.19,P=0.08),routine treatment drugs(MD=-0.53,95%CI:-2.02 to 0.96,P=0.68),and other Chinese patent medicines(MD=-0.49,95%CI:-2.83 to 1.85,P=0.68).Mild gastrointestinal adverse reactions were reported

Adhesive Properties between Recycled Concrete Aggregate and Asphalt

The unique surface microscopic morphology (SMM) and chemical composition of RCA would affect its adhesion to asphalt. This research examined the SMM parameters and surface energies of RCA and asphalt utilizing laser microscope system (LMS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM)， correspondingly. The pull-off tests were employed to examine the macroscopic adhesive strength between recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) and asphalt， and the study examined the impact of SMM and surface energies of the materials on this macroscopic adhesive strength. In the final phase， this study delved into the multi-scale adhesion mechanisms between RCA and asphalt. Findings demonstrate that an increase in grade correspondingly elevates the surface roughness and surface energy of the asphalt. For asphalt containing bee-like structures， the surface energy in other regions surpassed that of the convex part and concave part. With the increase of water-cement ratio of RCA， the SMM roughness increases and the surface energy decreases. The adhesion of RCA to asphalt is the result of both physical and chemical adhesion， about 60% from chemical effect and the remaining about 40% from physical effect.

Trusted detection for Parkinson’s disease based on uncertainty estimation

Currently， most deep learning methods used for Parkinson’s disease (PD) detection lack reliability assessment. This characteristic makes erroneous results difficult to be identified in practice， leading to potentially serious consequences. To address this issue， prior network with the distance measure layer (PNDM) was proposed in this paper. PNDM consists of two modules: prior network (PN) and the distance measure (DM) layer. The prior network is employed to estimate data uncertainty， and the DM layer is utilized to estimate model uncertainty. The goal of this work is to provide accurate and reliable PD detection through uncertainty estimation. Experiments show that PNDM can effectively estimate both model uncertainty and data uncertainty， rendering it more suitable for uncertainty estimation in PD detection compared to existing methods.

Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs) have already developed into one of the most promising new-generation high-energy density electrochemical energy storage systems with outstanding features including high-energy density, low cost, and environmental friendliness. However, the development and commercialization path of LSBs still presents significant limitations and challenges, particularly the notorious shuttle effect triggered by soluble longchain lithium polysulfides(LiPSs), which inevitably leads to low utilization of cathode active sulfur and high battery capacity degradation, short cycle life, etc. Substantial research efforts have been conducted to develop various sulfur host materials capable of effectively restricting the shuttle effect. This review firstly introduces the fundamental electrochemical aspects of LSBs, followed by a comprehensive analysis of the mechanism underlying the shuttle effect in Li–S batteries and its profound influence on various battery components as well as the overall battery performance. Subsequently, recent advances and strategies are systematically reviewed, including physical confinement, chemisorption, and catalytic conversion of sulfur hosts for restricting LiPSs shuttle effects. The interplay mechanisms of sulfur hosts and LiPSs are discussed in detail and the structural advantages of different host materials are highlighted. Furthermore, key insights for the rational design of advanced host materials for LSBs are provided, and the upcoming challenges and the prospects for sulfur host materials in lithium-sulfur batteries are also explored.

Absorption characteristics,model,and molecular mechanism of hydrogen sulfide in morpholine acetate aqueous solution

Application of neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy and neoadjuvant chemotherapy in curative surgery for esophageal cancer:A metaanalysis

BACKGROUND The effectiveness of neoadjuvant therapy in esophageal cancer(EC)treatment is still a subject of *** To compare the clinical efficacy and toxic side effects between neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy(nCRT)and neoadjuvant chemotherapy(nCT)for locally advanced EC(LAEC).METHODS A comprehensive search was conducted using multiple databases,including PubMed,EMBASE,MEDLINE,Science Direct,The Cochrane Library,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Database,Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database,and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database *** up to December 2022 comparing nCRT and nCT in patients with EC were *** The analysis revealed significant differences between nCRT and nCT in terms of disease-free *** results indicated that nCRT provided better outcomes in terms of the 3-year overall survival rate(OSR)[odds ratio(OR)=0.95],complete response rate(OR=3.15),and R0 clearance rate(CR)(OR=2.25).However,nCT demonstrated a better 5-year OSR(OR=1.02)than ***,when compared to nCRT,nCT showed reduced risks of cardiac complications(OR=1.15)and pulmonary complications(OR=1.30).CONCLUSION Overall,both nCRT and nCT were effective in terms of survival outcomes for ***,nCT exhibited better performance in terms of postoperative complications.

Mixing states and secondary formation processes of organic nitrogen-containing single particles in Guangzhou,China

Organic nitrogen(ON)compounds play a significant role in the light absorption of brown carbon and the formation of organic aerosols,however,the mixing state,secondary formation processes,and influencing factors of ON compounds are still *** paper reports on the mixing state of ON-containing particles based on measurements obtained using a highperformance single particle aerosol mass spectrometer in January 2020 in *** ON-containing particles accounted for 21% of the total detected single particles,and the particle count and number fraction of the ON-containing particles were two times higher at night than during the *** prominent increase in the content of ON-containing particles with the enhancement of NO_xmainly occurred at night,and accompanied by high relative humidity and nitrate,which were associated with heterogeneous reactions between organics and gaseous NO_(x)and/or NO_(3)*** synchronous decreases in ON-containing particles and the mass absorption coefficient of water-soluble extracts at 365 nm in the afternoon may be associated with photo-bleaching of the ON species in the *** addition,the positive matrix factorization analysis found five factors dominated the formation processes of ON particles,and the nitrate factor(33%)mainly contributed to the production of ON particles at *** results of this study provide unique insights into the mixing states and secondary formation processes of the ON-containing particles.
