Aim:To investigate the effect of antisense oligodeoxynucleotides （ASODN） tar-geting Pim-2 on cell proliferation of DU-145 ***:Three ASODN target-ing Pim-2 were designed and *** transfection with ASODN,cellproliferation was analyzed using an MTS [3-（4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl）-5-（3-carboxymethoxyphenyl）-2-（4-sulfophenyl）-2H-tetrazolium,inner salt] ***,Pim-2 mRNA,protein levels,and cell cycles were ***:The ASODN designed and synthesized by our laboratory significantly reducedPim-2 mRNA level and protein content in DU-145 *** transfection withASODN for 48 h,a marked reduction in cell viability was observed in DU-145 cellsin a dose-dependent *** remarkable apoptosis occurred in ceils treatedwith ASODN compared with control ***,it should be noted that G1phase arrest was clearly observed in ASODN-treated ***:ASODNtargeting Pim-2 resulted in a marked reduction in DU-145 cell proliferation,andinduction of G1phase cell cycle arrest is one of the important mechanisms forASODN to reduce cell ***,antisense inhibition of Pim-2 expres-sion provides a new promising therapy target for prostate cancer.

Parenchymal neurocysticercosis is the most common form of neurocysticercosis in the central nervous system(CNS),which mainly causes epilepsy and usually responses well to routine ***,there are appreciable cases of relapses refractory to medical *** investigated microsurgical treatment of epilepsy with parenchymal *** cases of epilepsy caused by parenchymal neurocysticercosis from 2002 to 2018 were analyzed *** in 7 cases were completely *** case died of operation and no new dysfunction of the nervous system was observed after *** the other 9 cases,8 cases became seizure-free or controlled by medicine according to the postoperative followup for 6 months to 9 *** case was lost for *** was suggested that epilepsy with parenchymal neurocysticercosis can usually be controlled after routine ***,surgery is still indicated in some cases and careful microsurgery is associated with satisfactory clinical outcomes in appropriately selected cases.

The detailed structures and the corresponding formation mechanisms of the well-known Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7 phase in the conventional die-cast Mg–4Al–4RE–0.3Mn alloy were thoroughly investigated using transmission electron microscopy(TEM). The results indicate that the Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7 phase ordinarily contains both normal (111) twins and orientation *** detailed TEM observations and density functional theory calculations indicate that the Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7 phase is transferred from the Al_8REMn_4 phase following an orientation relationship as [010]_(Al_8REMn_4)//[101]_(Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7) and (101)_(Al_8REMn_4)//(110)_(Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7). Moreover, forming orientation twins in the Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7 phase is attributed to the blurry regions at incoherent twin boundaries in the Al_8REMn_4 phase. Finally, these formed orientation twins result in the (111) twins in the Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7 phase.

Apoptosis of Spodoptera litura larval hemocytes induced byheavy metal zinc

By adding different amount of zinc into the artificial medium of the insect larvae, the zinc-induced apoptosis of the larvae haemocytes of the herbivorous insect Spodoptera litura Fabricius was investigated with flow cy- tometer. The results showed that the increase of zinc dose in the artificial feed led to the accumulations of zinc in the lar- val hemolymph and fat body, and more zinc was accumu- lated in fat body than in hemolymph. The apoptosis of hemocytes was significantly induced at high zinc concentra- tion (1000 mg·kg?1) in the insect diet, and the apoptosis rate was 63.63%, which was remarkably higher than that at con- trol and lower concentrations (50―500 mg·kg?1). This sug- gests that the high dose of zinc in the artificial diet of S. litura larvae could induce the apoptosis of the larval hemocytes of S. litura.

为了探讨降雨过程时空分布不均匀性对河道径流的影响,以沂河、沭河流域为例,利用瞬时单位线法和马斯京根法计算重现期为10、 20、 50 a的3 d特征暴雨和2019年台风“利奇马”暴雨在2个流域中的洪水流量,得出各防洪控制站在不同暴雨条件下的洪水规律。结果表明:扇形流域内洪水汇流较集中,容易发生洪灾;羽形流域内各支流洪水交错汇入干流,近水先去,远水后去,洪水较缓和,沂河的防汛压力大于沭河的防汛压力;在相同降雨量条件下,沂沭河流域内临沂站在从北向南的降雨过程中更易形成大洪峰,斜午站、石拉渊站和重沟站在从南向北的降雨过程中更易形成大洪峰;莒县站位于沭河上游,控制流域包含多个支流和3个水库,流域形状为属于羽形流域的沭河流域中的扇形流域,具有洪水汇流集中的特点,沭河莒县站的防汛压力大于沭河其他防洪控制站的防汛压力,而且当沭河流域出现大范围同步降雨过程时,莒县站更易形成大洪峰。

BACKGROUND Acute flaccid paralysis(AFP)and neurogenic respiratory failure rarely occur in *** the end of 2018,some children with such symptoms were admitted to our *** this study,we aimed to assess two children with AFP and neurogenic respiratory failure associated with enterovirus D68(EV-D68).CASE SUMMARY Two children admitted to our hospital presented with symptoms and imaging results different from those of acute disseminated encephalomyelitis and hand,foot,and mouth *** main symptoms were AFP and neurogenic respiratory *** resonance imaging showed severe inflammatory injury mainly to the anterior horn cells of the spinal *** and cerebrospinal fluid samples were collected to assess for pathogens,including bacteria,tuberculosis,cryptococcus,herpes virus,and coxsackie virus,and the results were *** the beginning,the two cases were not assessed for EV-D68 in the nasopharyngeal,blood,and cerebrospinal fluid *** 2 mo later,EVD68 was detected in the stool sample of one of the *** symptom of AFP was caused by injury to the anterior horn cells at levels C5-L5 of the spinal cord,while neurogenic respiratory failure was at levels *** We should pay attention to the detection and diagnosis of EV-D68 and make efforts to develop antivirus drugs and vaccines.

Analysis of deposition and erosion of Dongting Lake by GIS

The sediments of the Dongting Lake come from four channels (one of them was closed in 1959), connected with the Yangtze River, four tributaries (Lishui, Yuanjiang, Zishui and Xiangjiang) and local area, and some of them are transported into the Yangtze River in Chenglingji, which is located at the exit of the Dongting Lake, some of them deposit into drainage system in the lake region and the rest deposit into the lake. The annual mean sediment is 166,555x104 t, of which 80% come from the four channels, 18% from the four tributaries and 2% from local area, whereas 26% of the total sediments are transported into the Yangtze River and 74% deposited into the lake and the lake drainage system. Based on topographic maps of 1974, 1988 and 1998, and the spatial analysis method with geographic information system (GIS), changes in sediment deposition and erosion are studied in this paper. By overlay analysis of 1974 and 1988, 1988 and 1998, erosion and sediments deposition areas are defined. The main conclusions are: (1) sediment rate in the lake is larger than erosion rate from 1974 to 1998. The mean deposition in the lake is 0.43 m; (2) annual sediment deposition is the same between 1974-1988 and 1988-1998, but the annual volume of deposition and erosion of 1988-1998 is bigger than that in 1974-1988; (3) before the completion of the Three Gorges Reservoir, there will be 7.82x108 m3 of sediments deposited in the lake, which would make the lake silted up by 0.33 m; (4) in the lake, the deposition area is found in the north of the east Dongting Lake, the south-west of the south Dongting Lake, and the east of the west Dongting Lake; while the eroded area is in the south of the east Dongting Lake, the middle of the south Dongting Lake, the west of the west Dongting Lake, as well as Xiangjiang and Lishui river flood channels.
