THe effects of strong convection electric field on the electron density in the auroral ionosphericF-region have been simulated numerically by means of a physical model. It is found that an enhancement of electric field directed west-northward in post-noon or west-southward in pre-noon results in an ionization depletion with its maximum at altitudes 40–50 km higher than that of theF 2 peak. When the enhanced electric field lasts for 45 min and has a maximum about 32 mV/m, the resulted ionization depletions reach their maximum at the time just ～10 min behind the time when the convection electric field and ion temperature enhancements reach their maximum. This is consistent well with EISCAT observations. The magnitudes of the percentage ionization depletions and their recovery time are dependent not only on the intensity of the electric field, but also on the diurnal variation phase of the background electron density.

Introducing heating function to oil sorbents opens up a new pathway to the fast cleanup of viscous crude oil spills in *** oil sorption speed increases with the rise of the temperature,thus oil sorbents with high heating temperature are ***,the oil sorbents also need to be produced *** we present carbonized melamine-formaldehyde sponges(CMSs)that exhibited superior heating performance and the CMSs could be massively fabricated through a non-polluting pyrolysis *** conductive CMSs could be heated over 300℃with a low applied voltage of 6.9 V and keep above 250℃for 30 min in the air without obvious *** high heating performance enabled heating up the oil spills with a high rate of 2.65℃·s^(-1) and 14%improvement of oil sorption coefficient compared with the state-of-the-art *** demonstrated that one joule-heated CMS could continuously and selectively collect viscous oil spills(9,010 mPa·s)690 times its own weight in one *** CMSs will be a highly competitive sorbent material for the fast remediation of future crude oil spills.

Lithium metal is one of the most promising anode materials for high-energy-density Li batteries. However,low stability caused by dendrite growth and volume change during cycling hinders its practical ***, we report an ingenious design of bio-inspired low-tortuosity carbon with tunable vertical micro-channels to be used as a host to incorporate nanosized Sn/Ni alloy nucleation sites, which can guide Li metal’s plating/stripping and meanwhile accommodate the volume change. The pore sizes of the vertical channels of the carbon host can be regulated to investigate the structure–performance correlation. After compositing Li, the bio-inspired carbon host with the smallest pore size（～14 μm） of vertical channels exhibits the lowest overpotential(～18 mV at 1 ma cm;), most stable tripping/plating voltage profiles,and best cycling stability（up to 500 cycles） in symmetrical cells. Notably, the carbon/Li composite anode is more rewarding than Li foil when coupled with LiFePO;in full cells, exhibiting a much lower polarization effect, better rate capability and higher capacity retention（90.6% after 120 cycles）. This novel bio-inspired design of a low-tortuosity carbon host with nanoalloy coatings may open a new avenue for fabricating advanced Li-metal batteries with high performance.

The treatment of iron-bearing dusts and sludges by the rotary hearth furnace process has the advantage of sufficient utilization of valuable metals and a high impurity removal rate,but the lower strength of the metallized product needs to be *** effects of quaternary basicity R4(w(CaO+MgO)/w(SiO_(2)+Al_(2)O_(3)))on the reduction behavior and physical and chemical properties of metallized pellets,including phase composition,compressive strength,microstructure and soft melting area,were investigated with FactSage thermodynamic software and *** strength of metallized pellets depended on the gangue composition,such as CaO,MgO,Al_(2)O_(3) and SiO_(2),due to the altered chemical composition,physical phase composition,microscopic morphology and stability of the slag *** reduction of carbon-bearing pellets was significantly promoted by suitable *** lower basicity(R_(4)mation of low melting point iron-containing compounds from SiO_(2) and Al_(2)O_(3) with FeO,resulting in increased liquid phase generation,but lower metallization rate,due to the hindered precipitation and growth of iron ***,the higher basicity(R_(4)>1.8)also increased the amount of liquid phase and improved the strength of the pellets,due to the granular iron crystals bonded into ***,the main component of the liquid phase in high-basicity conditions was calcium *** the additional amount of liquid phase was beneficial to the strength of the metallized pellets,calcium disilicate was formed at R_(4)=1.6,resulting in a reduction in the compressive strength of the pellets to 1521.9 N/pellet.

Accurate prediction on geological hazards can prevent disaster events in advance and greatly reduce property losses and life *** debris flows are the most serious hazards in southeastern Tibet in China due to their complexity in formation mechanism and the difficulty in *** collected from 102 glacier debris flow events from 31 gullies since 1970 and regional meteorological data from 1970 to 2019 in ParlungZangbo River Basin in southeastern Tibet were used for Artificial Neural Network(ANN)-based prediction of glacial debris *** formation mechanism of glacial debris flows in the ParlungZangbo Basin was systematically analyzed,and the calculations involving the meteorological data and disaster events were conducted by using the statistical methods and two layers fully connected neural *** occurrence probabilities and scales of glacial debris flows(small,medium,and large)were predicted,and promising results have been *** the proposed model calculations,a prediction accuracy of 78.33%was achieved for the scale of glacial debris flows in the study *** prediction accuracy for both large-and medium-scale debris flows are higher than that for small-scale debris *** debris flow scale and the probability of occurrence increase with increasing rainfall and *** addition,the K-fold cross-validation method was used to verify the reliability of the *** average accuracy of the model calculated under this method is about 93.3%,which validates the proposed *** have proved that the combination of ANN and disaster events can provide sound prediction on geological hazards under complex conditions.

We analyzed the radio light curves of 3C 454.3 at frequencies 22 and 37 GHz taken from the database of Metsaeovi Radio Observatory, and found evidence of quasi-periodic activity. The light curves show great activity with very complicated non-sinusoidal variations. Two possible periods, a very weak one of 1.57 ± 0.12 yr and a very strong one of 6.15 ±0.50 yr were consistently identified by two methods, the Jurkevich method and power specmun estimation. The period of 6.15 ± 0.50 yr is consistent with results previously reported by Ciaramella et al. and Webb et al. Applying the binary black hole model to the central structure we found black hole masses of 1.53 × 10^9M⊙ and 1.86 × 10^8M⊙, and predicted that the next radio outburst is to take place in 2006 march and April.

Objective:To compare the effect of surgical intervention on functional ***: By searching the MEDLINE(1966 to October 2011),EMBASE(1980 to October 2011),the Chinese Biomedical Database Databases(1980 to October 2011),a total of 9 related RCT studies comparing surgical intervention with functional treatment were included in our *** software was taken to analyze the ***:These 9 studies Involved a total of 1 268 mostly young adults,including 580 patients with surgical treatment and 688 patients with functional *** results showed the stability of ankle activity in surgical treatment group was better than that in functional treatment group,with the OR and 95%CI of 0.72(0.52-0.99).No significant difference was found in the recurrence of the surgical and functional ***, the movement disorder in the surgical treatment suggested increased risk than that in functional group,with the OR and 95%CI of 2 39(0.98-5.85).Surgical group found more complication than the function group,such as deep vein thrombosis,deep venous thrombosis,tenderness of scar and sensory ***:In conclusion,our finding showed that surgical treatment could gain better efficacy than functional treatment,but may bring more ***,further large sample size RCT is warranted.

Objective To establish a quality control protocol based on microscopic, TLC, and HPLC methods, and to verify the optimal harvesting time for the leaves of malus hupehensis(LMH). Methods The LMH were pulverized into powder for microscopic identification or TLC and HPLC analysis after ultrasonic extraction with methanol. Seasonal variations of the phlorizin content and average leaf weight were determined by HPLC analysis and weighing up the leaves collected from may to October. Results Microscopic and macromorphologic characteristics have been described for the leaf identification. A qualitative TLC assay and a quantitative HPLC method have been established for the quality control of LMH. Phlorizin was selected as a reference marker, which resolved at Rf 0.53 in TLC assay and at 14.0 min in HPLC assay. The content of phlorizin decreased gradually from 17.0% in leaves collected in may to 7.5% in October. The average leaf weight reached the level of 0.6 g in August and maintained until its *** These methods are simple, selective, accurate, and reliable for the quality control of LMH. The period from late August to early September is suggested as the optimal harvesting time of the LMH.
