In this paper, we are concerned with the optimal hedge ratio under quantity risk as well as discrepancies between the futures market price and its theoretical valuation according to the cost- of-carry model. Assuming a geometric Brownian motion for forecasting process, we model mispricing as a specific noise corn poncnt in the dynamics of filturcs market prices, based on which the optimal hedging strategy is calculated. Finally, we illustrate optimal strategy and its properties by numerical examples.

To design a treatment plan for patients with epididymal obstruction,we explored the potential impact of factors such as body mass index(BMI)and age on the surgical outcomes of vasoepididymostomy(VE).In this retrospective study,181 patients diagnosed with obstructive azoospermia(OA)due to epididymal obstruction between September 2014 and September 2017 were *** patients underwent single-armed microsurgical intussusception VEs with longitudinal two-suture placement performed by a single surgeon(KH)in a single hospital(Peking University Third Hospital,Beijing,China).Six factors that could possibly influence the patency rates were analyzed,including BMI,age,mode of anastomosis,site of anastomosis,and sperm motility and quantity in the intraoperative epididymal ***-factor outcome analysis was performed via Chi-square test and multivariable analysis was performed using logistic regression.A total of 159(87.8%,159/181)patients were followed *** follow-up time(mean±standard deviation[s.d.])was 27.7±9.3 months,ranging from 12 months to 48 *** overall patency rate was 73.0%(116/159).The multivariable analysis revealed that BMI and age significantly influenced the patency rate(P=0.008 and 0.028,respectively).Younger age(≤28 years;odds ratio[OR]=3.531,95%confidence interval[95%CI]:1.397–8.924)and lower BMI score(<26.0 kg m−2;OR=2.352,95%CI:1.095–5.054)appeared to be associated with a higher patency *** and age were independent factors affecting the outcomes of microsurgical VEs depending on surgical expertise and the use of advanced technology.

Riemann-Hilbert Problem and Multiple High-order Poles Solutions of the Focusing MKdV Equation with Nonzero Boundary Conditions

The focusing modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation with multiple high-order poles under the nonzero boundary conditions is first investigated via developing a Riemann-Hilbert(RH) approach. We begin with the asymptotic property, symmetry and analyticity of the Jost solutions, and successfully construct the RH problem of the focusing mKdV equation. We solve the RH problem when 1/S11(k) has a single highorder pole and multiple high-order poles. Furthermore, we derive the soliton solutions of the focusing mKdV equation which corresponding with a single high-order pole and multiple high-order poles, respectively. Finally,the dynamics of one-and two-soliton solutions are graphically discussed.

Chronic liver diseases,including primary biliary cholangitis(PBC),are recognized as immunosuppressive conditions due to the impaired functionality of hepatic sinusoidal Kupffer cells.[1]PBC is specifically characterized by cholangitis and progressive liver pathology,which may eventually lead to *** compromised liver function and reduced efficacy of Kupffer cells in patients with PBC weaken their cell-mediated immune responses,increasing their susceptibility to opportunistic pathogens such as Cryptococcus.[2]Cryptococcosis is an infectious disease caused by pathogenic encapsulated yeasts of the genus Cryptococcus,which is distributed worldwide and exhibits diverse clinical presentations.[3]Most case reports on cryptococcal infections are associated with HIV infection or other conditions that compromise the immune system.[4]Case reports related to primary biliary cholangitis are ***,this case report underscores a rare cryptococcal infection in a patient with primary biliary cholangitis,emphasizing the need to consider opportunistic infections in those with compromised liver function and immune dysregulation.

By means of the multilinear variable separation（MLVS） approach, new interaction solutions with low-dimensional arbitrary functions of the（2+1）-dimensional Nizhnik–Novikov–Veselovtype system are constructed. Four-dromion structure, ring-parabolic soliton structure and corresponding fusion phenomena for the physical quantity U =λ（lnf）xyare revealed for the first time. This MLVS approach can also be used to deal with the（2+1）-dimensional Sasa–Satsuma system.

Molecular Cloning of a Cellulose Synthase Gene PtoCesA1 from Populus tomentosa and Its Genetic Transformation in Tobacco

A 3 125 bp cellulose synthase gene, PtoCesA1, which has a 98% identity to PtrCesA1 from Populus tremuloides, was cloned from cDNA prepared from secondary xylem of P tomentosa. Four anti-expression vectors with different fragments of PtoCesAl, named as pBIPF, pBICC1, pBIPR and pBIBR, were constructed. Some traits of transformed tobacco of pBICC1, pBIPR and pBIBR differed from wild types, such as small leaves, ＂dwarf＂ phenotype and thinner xylem and fiber cell walls than wild plants consistent with a loss of cellulose. It indicated that the growth of transgenic tobacco was restrained by the expression of anti-PtoCesA1. Transgenic tobacco was obtained and the contents of cellulose and lignin were analyzed as well as the width and length of fiber cells, and xylem thickness for both transgenic and control plants. Transformed tobacco showed a different phenotype from control plants and it implied that PtoCesA1 was essential for the cellulose biosynthesis in poplar stems.
