Numerical Study on Effects of Key Factors on Performance of Ce02-based Catalyzed Diesel Particulate Filter

Catalyzed diesel particulate filter(CDPF)combines the functions of the oxidization catalyst and the diesel particulate *** to good redox capacity and oxygen storage capacity,CeO2 is used as the catalyst of *** the effects of key factors on the performance of Ce02-based CDPF were rarely reported,it was performed in this study based on a zero-dimensional numerical model using plug flow reactor in which a reaction mechanism was established and validated by the experiment of the thermal gravimetric *** effects of exhaust gas temperature and three defined parameters including the ratios of NO2 in NO,(α),NOx to soot(β),and catalyst coated amount to carbon loading amount(y)on catalyst poisoning temperature,N20 concentration,NOx reduction rate and soot regeneration rate were *** results show that the rising exhaust gas temperature causes the reduction of NOx concentration,and the NOx reduction rate comes to 66%when the catalyst poisoning temperature is *** soot regeneration rate and the N2O concentration first increase and then decrease as the exhaust gas temperature ***,the higher exhaust gas temperature suppresses the production of N2O,but raises the possibility of catalyst *** increasing a and p result in the increase of soot regeneration rate and the decrease of NOx reduction *** catalyst poisoning temperature is improved at higher a and lower *** soot regeneration rate has a fast increase with y at first and then stabilizes *** results of this study are valuable to optimize the operation of CDPF.

Intelligent prediction on air intake flow of spark ignition engine by a chaos radial basis function neural network

To ensure the control of the precision of air-fuel ratio(AFR)of port fuel injection(PFI)spark ignition(SI)engines,a chaos radial basis function(RBF)neural network is used to predict the air intake flow of the *** data of air intake flow is proved to be multidimensionally nonlinear and *** RBF neural network is used to train the reconstructed phase space of the *** chaos algorithm is employed to optimize the weights of output layer connection and the radial basis center of Gaussian function in hidden *** simulation results obtained from Matlab/Simulink illustrate that the model has higher accuracy compared to the conventional RBF *** mean absolute error and the mean relative error of the chaos RBF model can reach 0.0017 and 0.48,respectively.

This paper studies a strongly convergent inertial forward-backward-forward algorithm for the variational inequality problem in Hilbert *** our convergence analysis,we do not assume the on-line rule of the inertial parameters and the iterates,which have been assumed by several authors whenever a strongly convergent algorithm with an inertial extrapolation step is proposed for a variational inequality ***,our proof arguments are different from what is obtainable in the relevant ***,we give numerical tests to confirm the theoretical analysis and show that our proposed algorithm is superior to related ones in the literature.

Simulation of Vortex-Induced Vibrations of A Cylinder Using ANSYS CFX Rigid Body Solver

This article simulates the vortex-induced oscillations of a rigid circular cylinder with elastic support using the new ANSYS CFX rigid body solver. This solver requires no solid mesh to setup FSI（Fluid Structure Interaction）simulation. The two-way case was setup in CFX only. Specific mass of the cylinder and flow conditions were similar to previous experimental data with mass damping parameter equal to 0.04, specific mass of 1 and Reynolds number of 3800. Two dimensional simulations were setup. Both one-degree-of-freedom and two-degree-of-freedom cases were run and results were obtained for both cases with reasonable accuracy as compared with experimental ***-figure XY trajectory and lock-in behavior were clearly captured. The obtained results were satisfactory.

Techno-Economic Analysis of a Grid-Connected Waste to Energy Gasification Plant:A Case Study

With population growth around the world,municipal waste disposal and continued energy demand becomes some of the major challenges to deal *** order to address these,an approach is required for an optimal waste management system that offers the population benefit with a lower environmental *** study evaluates the technical-economic and environmental impact analysis of a grid-connected waste to energy(WtE)plant to power a Univerisiti Teknologi Malaysia(UTM)*** energy recovery potential of the waste stream was assessed using the life cycle assessment(LCA)method with GaBi^(TM) software(version 4).A technical,economic and environmental analysis was then carried out for the grid-connected WtE system using HOMERPro software with gasification conversion *** cash flow analysis was based on levelized costs of energy(LCOE)and total net present value(NPV).The results gave an NPV for the system at USD 1.11×10^(7),with most of the effects resulting from the grid operating costs and the LCOE of USD 0.43/kWh compared to the grid unit price of USD 0.7/kWh which corresponds to a saving of$0.27/kWh in energy *** an environmental point of view,the results showed a significant reduction in carbon dioxide emissions from around 2,000 tons per year to around 400 tons per *** regard to the amount of waste sent to landfills,the results show a significant improvement from 142,605.5 kg/year to 0.13 kg/year.

Crude oil price prediction is a challenging task in oil producing *** price is among the most complex and tough to model because fluctuations of price of crude oil are highly irregular,nonlinear and varies dynamically with high *** paper proposed a hybrid model for crude oil price prediction that uses the complex network analysis and long short-term memory(LSTM)of the deep learning *** complex network analysis tool called the visibility graph is used to map the dataset on a network and K-core centrality was employed to extract the non-linearity features of crude oil and reconstruct the *** complex network analysis is carried out in order to preprocess the original data to extract the non-linearity features and to reconstruct the ***,LSTM was employed to model the reconstructed *** verify the result,we compared the empirical results with other research in the *** experiments show that the proposed model has higher accuracy,and is more robust and reliable.

A Deep Learning Approach to Mesh Segmentation

In the shape analysis community,decomposing a 3D shape intomeaningful parts has become a topic of interest.3D model segmentation is largely used in tasks such as shape deformation,shape partial matching,skeleton extraction,shape correspondence,shape annotation and texture *** approaches have attempted to provide better segmentation solutions;however,the majority of the previous techniques used handcrafted features,which are usually focused on a particular attribute of 3Dobjects and so are difficult to *** this paper,we propose a three-stage approach for using Multi-view recurrent neural network to automatically segment a 3D shape into visually meaningful *** first stage involves normalizing and scaling a 3D model to fit within the unit sphere and rendering the object into different *** viewpoints,on the other hand,might not have been associated,and a 3D region could correlate into totally distinct outcomes depending on the *** address this,we ran each view through(shared weights)CNN and Bolster block in order to create a probability boundary *** Bolster block simulates the area relationships between different views,which helps to improve and refine the *** stage two,the feature maps generated in the previous step are correlated using a Recurrent Neural network to obtain compatible fine detail responses for each ***,a layer that is fully connected is used to return coherent edges,which are then back project to 3D objects to produce the final *** on the Princeton Segmentation Benchmark dataset show that our proposed method is effective for mesh segmentation tasks.

Analysis of genetic diversity in banana cultivars(Musa cvs.) from the South of Oman using AFLP markers and classification by phylogenetic,hierarchical clustering and principal component analyses

Banana is an important crop grown in Oman and there is a dearth of information on its genetic diversity to assist in crop breeding and improvement *** study employed amplified fragment length polymorphism(AFLP) to investigate the genetic variation in local banana cultivars from the southern region of *** 12 primer combinations,a total of 1094 bands were scored,of which 1012 were ***-two unique markers were identified,which revealed the distinct separation of the seven *** results obtained show that AFLP can be used to differentiate the banana *** classification by phylogenetic,hierarchical clustering and principal component analyses showed significant differences between the clusters found with molecular markers and those clusters created by previous studies using morphological *** on the analytical results,a consensus dendrogram of the banana cultivars is presented.
