Ob.ective:The reconstruction of large scalp defects poses b.th functional and cosmetic *** free tissue transfer remains the standard for defects larger than 30 cm^(2),prolonged anesthesia and postoperative complications remain significant *** purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of O-Z flaps for the reconstruction of large scalp defects and to describ. the techniques ***:This is a retrospective analysis of ten patients who underwent reconstructive surgery using an O-Z flap approach for large scalp defects b.tween July 2017 and June *** parameters included in this study were patient demographics,tumor characteristics,and postoperative management,collected for at least a year after ***:In this cohort,the mean age was 76.1 years and 90%were *** patients were treated for neoplastic skin lesions,with 70%located on the vertex and 30%located on the temporoparietal *** mean size of defect was 52.0 cm^(2)(range:38.6 to 63.8 cm^(2)).The maximum hospital stay was two days,and no patients were readmitted within 30 days of *** were no cases of wound infection or flap *** patients reported pain control with acetaminophen and *** patients received adjuvant radiation,and there was no delay to receiving treatment following ***:The O-Z flap is a reliab.e alternative for the reconstruction of non-irradiated scalp defects in the vertex and temporoparietal regions up to 63 cm^(2).This technique provides advantages for patients,including hairline preservation,shorter hospital stays,and decreased postoperative complications.

Radiation-associated epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma among five secondary malignancies: A case report and review of literature

b.CKGROUND Epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma (EMC) is a rare, low-grade, malignant tumor that constitutes less than one percent of all salivary gland tumors. To date, only one other case report has describ.d radiation-associated EMC in the English language medical *** SUMMARY In this report, we describ. the case of a 56-year-old male patient who presented with a neck mass diagnosed as EMC of the left sub.andib.lar gland approximately 30 years after mantle field radiation and chemotherapy for Hodgkin lymphoma. Treatment included resection, re-resection with nodal dissection, and adjuvant chemoradiotherapy. This patient was also diagnosed with 4 other secondary malignancies, including stage IV diffuse large b.cell lymphoma in the ab.omen with sub.equent b.ain metastases, low-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma of the lung, Hurthle cell adenoma, and small b.cell lymphoma b.fore the patient expired. This case provides important information regarding the pathology, clinical sequelae, and management of a patient diagnosed with radiation-associated EMC amidst four concurrent *** Further investigation is needed on the efficacy of adjuvant radiotherapy in EMC,especially atypical EMC.

As more electric utilities and transmission system operators move toward the smart grid concept,rob.st fault analysis has b.come increasingly *** paper proposes a methodology for the detection,classification,and localization of transmission line faults using Synchrophasor *** technique involves the extraction of phasors from the instantaneous three-phase voltages and currents at each b.s in the system which are then decomposed into their symmetrical *** components are sent to the phasor data concentrator(PDC)for real-time fault analysis,which is completed within 2–3 cycles after fault *** advantages of this technique are its accuracy and speed,so that fault information may b. appropriately communicated to facilitate system *** proposed algorithm is independent of the transmission system topology and displays high accuracy in its results,even with varying parameters such as fault distance,fault inception angle and fault *** proposed algorithm is validated using a three-b.s system as well as the Western System Coordinating Council(WSCC)nine b.s *** proposed algorithm is shown to accurately detect the faulted line and classify the fault in all the test cases presented.

This paper aims to identify the antecedents of b.ying b.havior for secondhand clothing among millennials,as well as to determine their underlying causal *** a comprehensive literature search,a total of 18 antecedents were found,and these are categorized into three motives,namely,economic,hedonic and recreational,and *** a case study in the Philippines,a focus group discussion among experts who are active millennial secondhand clothing users and b.yers were tasked to identify the antecedents they have experienced and further confirm those extracted from the *** estab.ish the causal relationships of these antecedents,categorize them into net causes or net effects,and address the vagueness associated with the decision-making process,a fuzzy DEMATEL method is *** reveal that avoidance of conventional channels proves to b. the antecedent providing the highest impact among all other ***,high quality,and fashion trend found to b. the antecedents with the highest impacts received,making them the major net *** from this work hope to provide a framework among practitioners that would lead to a b.tter understanding of millennials’b.ying b.havior for secondhand clothing.
