Establishing the relationship between land use land cover,normalized difference vegetation index and land surface temperature:A case of Lower Son River Basin,India

The study explores the intricate interplay between land use land cover(LULC),normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI),and land surface temperature(LST)within the Lower Son River Basin in India from 1991 to *** region’s ecological balance has been increasingly strained due to rapid urbanization and changing land use *** a combination of Landsat TM&OLI/TIRS satellite imageries and geospatial analysis techniques,this study unveils the intricate connection between land use and land cover changes,vegetation,and land surface temperature *** study area is classified into three altitudinal zones(Zone Ⅰ:39–300 m,Zone Ⅱ:301–600 m and Zone Ⅲ:601–1,247 m)to examine the changes in *** area has seen significant changes in LULC,vegetation and LST in all the three altitudinal *** findings hold significant implications for sustainable land management and environmental conservation strategies in the Lower Son River *** per the result,103,438 ha of vegetation was converted into agriculture land and 82,572 ha of agricultural land was transformed into settlements from 1991 to *** trend shows human pressure on the land resource in the study *** increase in water body is seen which is attributed to commissioning of Bansagar *** Ⅰ has seen highest settlement growth while Zone Ⅲ experienced severe deforestation of around 15%.Zone Ⅱ and Ⅲ needs attention for holistic *** of LST shows that it has increased by 0.82℃ from 1991 to 2020 which is a red *** study underscores the critical importance of balanced land use practices to preserve ecological integrity and mitigate the adverse effects of urbanization and climate change.

Prevalence and risks of reproductive tract infections among women of urban slums in North India: A cross-sectional study

Objective:To identify the prevalence,determinants of reproductive tract infection,and healthcare seeking behavior among ever married women of reproductive age residing in an urban slum of Faridabad,Haryana,North ***:This community based cross-sectional study was conducted among ever married women aged between 15 and 49 years insured under employees state insurance scheme and residing in an urban slum of *** random sampling technique was used to interview 149 eligible women using a predesigned structured *** variables included sociodemographic profile,family planning methods,menstrual absorbent usage,and symptoms of reproductive tract *** logistic regression was used to investigate the determinants of reproductive tract ***:Of the women,46.3%had at least one reproductive tract infection or sexually transmitted infection symptom and 28.9%among them sought treatment for the *** discharge,itching(14.1%)and lower abdominal pain(30.2%)were the major symptoms ***-usage of condoms as contraceptive was significantly associated with a higher rate of symptoms(50.4%vs.20.0%).Abortion had a significantly high odds of having reproductive tract infection symptoms(aOR 3.71,95%CI 1.59-8.62;P<0.01).Less frequent change in absorbent during menstruation was also reported to have a higher rate of *** majority of those who took treatment sought it from government or employees state insurance dispensary.2%also went to faith ***:Nearly half of the study population have reproductive tract infection *** and non-usage of condom increase the risk of reproductive tract *** hygiene and condom usage are the significant interventions,which may reduce the prevalence of these symptoms.

Climate change and the consumption of non-renewable resources are considered as the greatest problems facing *** of this,photocatalysis research has been rapidly ***2 nanoparticles have been extensively investigated for photocatalytic applications including the decomposition of organic compounds and production of H2 as a fuel using solar energy. This article reviews the structure and electronic properties of TiO2,compares TiO2 with other common semiconductors used for photocatalytic applications and clarifies the advantages of using TiO2 ***2 is considered close to an ideal semi- conductor for photocatalysis but possesses certain limitations such as poor absorption of visible radiation and rapid recombination of photogenerated electron/hole *** this review article,various methods used to enhance the photocatalytic characteristics of TiO2 including dye sensitization,doping,coupling and capping are *** and energy applications of TiO2, including photocatalytic treatment of wastewater,pesticide degradation and water splitting to produce hydrogen have been summarized.

Prostate cancer (PC) is one of the most common and leading cancer amongst the males all around the world. Depending upon it long latency and cost involved in its management and treatment, there is extensive need for more personalized and economical therapeutic approach for its effective therapy. The current review here discusses agents from natural dietary sources and drug class Non-Steroidal Antinflammatory (NSAIDS) that bears chemopreventive potential to regulate PC progression & tumour development and therefore could be devised into effective future treatment strategy against PC along with its metastatic castration-resistant form. Based on the literature search the therapeutic scope of selected agents are delineated, sighting their previous activity and prospects as epigenetic moderators in specific to particular PC causing biomarkers like over expression of AKR1C3, lost intracellular glutathione/glutathione-s-tranferases(GSH/GST) expression, DNA hypermethylation, aberrant cell proliferation and other related factors that are thought to potentiate and aggravate the onset of PC like smoking and use of other narcotics products.

沙棘(Hippophae rhamnoids L.),属于胡颓子属,在印度喜马偕尔邦地区称作"Chharma and Surch",沙棘能够在这种非常恶劣的气候条件下自然生长。本文介绍了制作沙棘饮料的一系列程序和如何储存饮料120d而不使其变质的方法。沙棘果实采自印度喜马偕尔邦河谷。用碎浆机提取沙棘汁,制作沙棘饮料要准备好合适比例的沙棘汁和制作饮料所需的糖。随着果浆比例的升高,维生素C的含量明显增加(P≤0.05),随着贮藏时间的延长,维生素C的含量明显降低。而随着糖和果浆的增加以及储存期的延长,还原性糖呈上升趋势。当饮料中果浆和糖的比例分别为10%和13%、12.5%和13%、15%和15%时,饮料最为宜口,给于较高的评价。在喜马偕尔邦,人们一直认为沙棘具有商业价值,但是其价值在此前一直没有得到足够的重视。
