The introduction of electrospinning technique in synthesis of supported microporous membranes and films opens bright pro- spects for mass production and practical applications. This novel and promising strategy has wide suitable range for various substrates with the possibility of large-area processing. We successfully synthesized several kinds of microporous materials into high quality membranes and films on different shaped supports by this method, such as zeolite NaA and pure-silica-zeolite Beta membranes on porous A1203 tube, zeolite NaY membrane on stainless steel net and a metal-organic framework Eu（BTC）（H20） DMF （JUC-32） film on porous silica disc. X-ray diffraction （XRD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM） were used as characterization means. The results verified the effectiveness of this new approach in fabrication of membranes and films.

The self-assembly of a prominent mixed-donor ligand, 5-[4-（1H-tetrazolyl）phen]isophthalic acid（H3TZPl）, with a Cd2＋ center generates two new metal-organic frameworks： [Cd（H2TZPI）2（H2O）2]n（JUC-163） and [Cd2（TZPI）（μ3-OH）（H2O）2]-***（JUC-164）. The two complexes demonstrate different structures for the ligand＇s different coordination modes and configurations. JUC-163 shows a 2D layer structure and further forms into a 3D supramolecular framework by noncovalent interactions（C--H…O, O--H…N and π…π interactions）, whereas JUC-164 exhibits a fascinating 3D framework for the outstanding coordination modes and configurations of the ligand, which are fit for the complex structure. And also, the factor of different cadmium salts（chloride and nitrate） which are used in synthesis progress is worth to notice for the construction of the two distinct structures. The luminescent properties of these metal-organic frameworks were also investigated.

A novel 3D metal-organic framework(MOF) with remarkable thermal stability,Ni(BIC)2.2·5H2O(JUC-86)(HBIC = 1-H-benzimidazole-5-carboxylic acid and JUC = Jilin University China),has been synthesized under hydrothermal *** crystallizes in tetragonal symmetry with P43212 space *** 3D structure consists of channels assembled from triple helices with a 4.5 × 4.52 aperture,which are formed by the parallel alignment of three infinite helical *** thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and powder X-ray diffractions(PXRD) indicate JUC-86 with high thermal stability(up to 350 ℃).

Nitrogen-doped nanoporous carbons have been successfully synthesized by direct carbonization of a nitrogen- rich metal-biomolecule framework, zinc glutamate （Zn（HzO）（CsHyNO4）-H20）, as a template without any additional carbon or nitrogen sources. The surface area and pore size distribution of the resultant carbon materials were studied based on the carbonization temperature. These carbons exhibited high specific surface area （as high as 1619.2 m2og i for ZGC-1000）. Furthermore, ZGC-1000 also provided a large specific capacitance of 140.8 F·g^- 1 at a current density of 0.25 A·g^-1 when measured in a three-electrode system. It is believed that the presence of the nitro- gen-doped nanoporous carbons prepared from the metal-organic frameworks will further facilitate the exploration of such materials as supercapacitors.

A Novel, Efficient and Facile Method for the Template Removal from Mesoporous Materials

A new catalytic-oxidation method was adopted to remove the templates from SBA-1 5 and MCM-4 1 me- soporous materials via Fenton-like techniques under microwave irradiation. The mesoporous silica materials were treated with different Fenton agents based on the template＇s property and textural property. The samples were cha- racterized by powder X-ray diffraction（XRD） measurement, N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, infrared spectro- scopy, 29Si MAS NMR and thermo gravimetric analysis（TGA）. The results reveal that this is an efficient and facile approach to the thorough template-removal from mesoporous silica materials, as well as to offering products with more stable structures, higher BET surface areas, larger pore volumes and larger quantity of silanol groups.

Three-Dimensional Porous Heterometallic-Organic Frameworks： Synthesis, Luminescent, Magnetic, Adsorption and Hydrogen Storage Properties

Two three-dimensional （3D） porous heterometal-organic frameworks （HMOFs） with isostructures, [Zn2Cd（OH）（BTC）2（DMF）（H20）z].（H30）（JUC-155A） and [ZnCo2（OH）（BTC）z（DMF）（H2O）2].（H3O）（JUC-155B）（JUC = Jilin University China, BTC = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate and DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide）, have been successfully synthesized by utilizing two kinds of 3d metal ions （Zn（II） and Cd（II） or Zn（II） and Co（II）） under conformable conditions. X-ray crystallography reveals that both HMOFs consist of trinuclear metal-carboxylate secon- dary building units （SBUs）, and these SBUs are interlinked by the phenyl groups of BTC ligands to generate 3D open-frameworks with two types of channels of about 6.3 and 10.7 A.. Both HMOFs show the multifunctional prop- erties in photoluminescence and adsorption. JUC-155B also exhibits an antiferromagnetic interaction, owing to the presence of dinuclear cobalt centers. Additionally, the high-pressure hydrogen storage of JUC-155A has been also examined at 77 K. By using mixed metal centers in clustered SBUs, it is a good strategy to construct those isostructures with heterometallic systems, and it is believed that the presence of such HMOFs will further facilitate the exploration ofmultifunctional materials.

Two new inorganic-organic hybrid polymers, Mn(QS)(H2O) (1) and Co(QS)(H2O)2 (2) (H2QS=8-hydroxylquinoline-5-sulfonic acid), based on 8-hydroxylquinoline-5-sulfonate ligand, have been synthesized under solvothermal conditions and their structures were solved by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Compound 1 is a three-dimensional open framework with rutile topology structure, and compound 2 is a three-dimensional supramolecular structure. These compounds were characterized by powder XRD, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, fluorescence properties and magnetism properties.

Porous Organic Frameworks-derived Porous Carbons with Outstanding Gas Adsorption Performance

A series of porous carbon materials was synthesized via high temperature pyrolysis from well-defined and thermally stable precursors, namely porous organic frameworks（POFs）, in inert atmosphere. The porous carbon materials showed enhanced gas adsorption capacities together with increased heat of adsorption and stronger affinity between the frameworks and the gases as compared to the precursor materials. To exemplify, sample C-POF-TBBP-1000 with a high BET surface area of 1290 m^2/g can adsorb 2.8 mmol/g CH4（273 K, 101.325 kPa）, 5.4 mmol/g CO2（273 K, 101.325 kPa） and 2.2% H2（mass fraction, 77 K, 101.325 kPa）, thereby surpassing most other porous adsorbent materials reported till date. The study highlights the potential of porous carbons derived from novel porous organic framework structures for gas adsorption applications.

Sustainable Synthesis of Hierarchically Porous Silicalite-1 Zeolite by Steam-assisted Crystallization of Solid Raw Materials Without Secondary Templates

Hierarchical silicalite-1 zeolites were obtained from the direct conversion of a mixture of ground solid raw materials via a steam-assisted crystallization（SAC） method without involvement of any mesoscale template. Only a trace amount of water was necessary during the crystallization, implying that the amount of water can be dramatically reduced, which still offers easy separation and high yields. The simple procedure involved only grinding and heating, which not only saves resources and energy, but also significantly reduces the discharge of eco-friendly synthesis of zeolites for practical applications. Compared to conventional bulk silicalite-1, the nanosized hierarchical zeolites with MFI structure show enhanced removal capabilities for methylene blue owing to their hierarchical porosity.
