Turbulence and cavitation models for time-dependent turbulent cavitating flows

Cavitation typically occurs when the fluid pressure is lower than the vapor pressure at a local thermodynamic state, and the flow is frequently unsteady and turbulent. To assess the state-of-the-art of computational capabilities for unsteady cavitating flows, different cavitation and turbulence model combinations are conducted. The selected cavitation models include several widely-used models including one based on phenomenological argument and the other utilizing interface dynamics. The k-e turbulence model with additional implementation of the filter function and density correction function are considered to reduce the eddy viscosity according to the computed turbulence length scale and local fluid density respectively. We have also blended these alternative cavitation and lustrate that the eddy viscosity turbulence treatments, to ilnear the closure region can significantly influence the capture of detached cavity. From the experimental validations regarding the force analysis, frequency, and the cavity visualization, no single model combination performs best in all aspects. Furthermore, the implications of parameters contained in different cavitation models are investigated. The phase change process is more pronounced around the detached cavity, which is better illustrated by the interfacial dynamics model. Our study provides insight to aid further modeling development.

In this paper,two types of copper-aluminum heterogeneous electrode plates are stacked and the finite element analysis(FEA)models of two different laser welding conditions are built by using SYSWELD welding simulation software to calculate the depth of the welding bead and the temperature distribution of the welding ***,the residual stress analysis data of the welded area are exported and the residual stress is applied to the welded specimen for CAE analysis to ensure that the welding bonding strength meets the design target of a shear force of 500 N or *** copper-aluminum laser-stacking simulation technique in this paper can be applied to the manufacturing of copper-aluminum heterogeneous laser-welded electrodes and series-connected electrodes of automotive lithium-ion power battery modules,providing an effective analysis method for welding bonding-strength.

A new genus and species Palaeodermapteron dicranum gen. et sp. nov. of the subfamily Dermapterinae and family Dermapteridae is described from the Middle Jurassic Jiulongshan Formation of Daohugou, Inner Mongolia in China. This article documents the earliest record of fossil earwig, extending the earwig existence to the Middle Jurassic. Detailed description and illustration of the specimen along with a brief review of the subfamily Dermapterinae are given. Evolutional trend of earwig morphology and its associated living environment are also discussed.

Three new species of fossil Palaeontinidae are described from Daohugou Village, Inner Mongolia, China: Daohugoucossus shii sp. nov., D. parallelivenius sp. nov., D. lii sp. nov. The diagnosis of Daohugoucossus Wang, Zhang and Fang, 2006 is revised. These materials are the first complete fossil palaeontinids in the Middle Jurassic of the world. Based on observation of these new specimens, Sc of this new genus has the following combined characters: joined with R at base, diverged near M separation, coalesced with R before the nodal line, extended beyond the nodal line and fused with R1 before distal end. Due to the Sc characteristics mentioned above, the genus Liaocossus Ren, Yin and Dou, 1998 can be well distinguished from “Ilerdocosus-complex”.

Peliosis hepatis(PH)is a vascular lesion of the liver that mimics a hepatic *** is often associated with underlying conditions,such as chronic infection and tumor malignancies,or with the use of anabolic steroids,immunosuppressive drugs,and oral *** patients with PH are asymptomatic,but some present with abdominal distension and *** some cases,PH may induce intraperitoneal hemorrhage and portal *** study analyzed a 46-year-old male who received a transplanted kidney nine years prior and had undergone long-term immunosuppressive therapy following the renal *** patient experienced progressive abdominal distention and pain in the six months prior to this ***,imaging studies revealed multiple liver tumor-like abnormalities,which were determined to be PH by pathological *** the hepatic lesions were progressively enlarged,the patient suffered from complications related to portal hypertension,such as intense ascites and esophageal varices *** the patient was scheduled to undergo liver transplantation,he suffered hepatic failure and died prior to availability of a donor organ.
