Photothermal material applied in environmental governance has attracted growing *** combining the Stober method and dopamine-triggered coating strategy,Co-Mn precursor was in situ incorporated into the poly dopamine(PDA)layer over the surface of silica ***,a unique photothermal nanosphere with SiO_(2)core and thin carbon layer and dual Co-Mn oxides shell was allowed to form by sequential heat treatment in the inert atmosphere(SiO_(2)@CoMn/C).The bimetallic fraction of Co/Mn in the carbon layer and post-treatment calcination temperature was comprehensively tuned to optimize the peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation performance of the *** state of bimetallic species was studied including their physical distribution,chemical valence,and interplay by various ***,Co oxides appear as dominant monodispersed nanoparticles(~10 nm),while Mn with cluster-like morphology is observed to uniformly distribute over thin-layer carbon and adhered to the surface of SiO_(2)nanospheres(~250 nm).The calcined temperature could tune the oxidized state of Co species,leading to the optimization of the catalytic performance of introduced dual metal *** a result,this obtained optimal catalyst integrated the advantages of exposed bimetallic CoMn species and N-doped thin carbon to deliver excellent catalytic PMS activation performance and photothermal synergetic catalytic mineralization ability for diversiform *** reactions condition controls and anion interference studies were conducted to identify the adaptability of the optimal ***,the application of solar-driven interfacial water evaporation using optimal SiO_(2)@Co_3Mn_1/C-600 catalyst was explored,showing a high water evaporation rate of 1.48 kg·m^(-2)·h^(-1)and an efficiency of 95.2%,further revealing a comprehensive governance functionality of obtained material in the complex pollution condition.

Numerical simulations of solar energetic particle event timescales associated with ICMEs

Recently, S. W. Kahler studied the timescales of solar energetic particle （SEP） events asso- ciated with coronal mass ejections （CMEs） from analysis of spacecraft data. They obtained different timescales for SEP events, such as TO, the onset time from CME launch to SEP onset, TR, the rise time from onset to half the peak intensity （0.5/p）, and TD, the duration of the SEP intensity above 0.5Ip. In this work, we solve the transport equation for SEPs considering interplanetary coronal mass ejection （ICME） shocks as energetic particle sources. With our modeling assumptions, our simulations show similar results to Kahler＇s analysis of spacecraft data, that the weighted average of TD increases with both CME speed and width. Moreover, from our simulation results, we suggest TD is directly dependent on CME speed, but not dependent on CME width, which were not found in the analysis of observational data.

Hapalogenys analis(order Lobotiformes)is an economically and ecologically significant fish *** is a typical sedentary rocky reef fish and is primarily found in the northern Pacific ***,we used Hi-C and PacBio sequencing technique to assemble a high-quality,chromosome-level genome for this *** 539 Mb genome had a contig N50 with a size of 3.43 Mb,while 755 contigs clustered into 24 chromosomal groups with an anchoring rate of 99.02%.Of the total genomic sequence,132.74Mb(24.39%)were annotated as repeat elements.A total of 21360 protein-coding genes were identified,of which 20787 genes(97.32%)were successfully annotated to public *** BUSCO evaluation indicated that 96.90%of the total orthologous genes were *** phylogenetic tree representing *** and 14 other bony fish species indicated that the *** genome contained 364 expanded gene families related to olfactory receptor activity,compared with the common ancestor of *** and *** genomic analysis further identified 3584 contracted gene ***-site modeling identified 277 genes experiencing positive selection,which may facilitate the adaptation to rocky reef *** genome reported here is helpful for ecological and evolutionary studies of ***.

The reaction kinetics of alloys based on magnesium are known to be greatly improved by the partial substitution of Mg with rare earths and transition metals,particularly *** enhanced superficial hydrogen dissociation rate,the weakened Mg-H bond and the lower activation energy following element replacement are thought to be related to the better *** experimental alloys Ce5Mg_(95-x)Ni_(x)(x=5,10,15)were smelted by the vacuum induction *** phase transformation and structural evolution of experimental alloys before and after reaction with hydrogen were char-acterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron *** cast specimens contain CeMg_(12),Mg and Mg_(2)Ni phases,and the increase in Ni content results in an obvious growth of Mg_(2)Ni *** isothermal and non-isothermal hydrogenation and dehydrogenation kinetics of the experimental specimens were investi-gated using the Sievert apparatus,differential scanning calorimetry and thermal gravimetric *** activation energy may be calculated using the Arrhenius and Kissinger *** experimental alloys have been shown to have good activation properties,with a reversible hydriding and dehydriding capacities of around 5.0 wt.%in the first *** initial dehydrogenation temperature of MgH_(2) decreases from 557.5 to 537.7 K with changing Ni content from 5 to 15 at.%.The dehydrogenation activation energy also reduces from 77.09 to 62.96 kJ/mol,which explains the improved hydrogen storage performance caused by Ni *** can be shown that the impact of Ni on the decomposition enthalpy of MgH_(2) is quite modest,with the absolute enthalpy(ΔHr)only decreasing from 78.48 to 76.15 kJ/mol.

An efficient recycling strategy to eliminate the residual“impurities”while heal the damaged structure of spent graphite anodes

The recycling of graphite from spent lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)is overlooked due to its relatively low added value and the lack of efficient recovering *** reuse the spent graphite anodes,we need to eliminate their useless components(mainly the degraded solid electrolyte interphase,SEI)and reconstruct their damaged ***,a facile and efficient strategy is proposed to recycle the spent graphite on the basis of the careful investigation of the composition of the cycled graphite anodes and the rational design of the regeneration *** regenerated graphite,which is revitalized by calcination treatment and acid leaching,delivers superb rate performance and a high specific capacity of 370 mAh g^(-1)(~99% of its theoretical capacity)after 100 cycles at 0.1 C,superior to the commercial graphite *** improved electrochemical performance could be attributed to unchoked Li^(+) transport channels and enhanced charge transfer reaction due to the effective destruction of the degraded SEI and the full recovery of the damaged structure of the spent *** work clarifies that the electrochemical performance of the regenerated graphite could be deteriorated by even a trace amount of the residual“impurity”and provides a facile method for the efficient regeneration of graphite anodes.

Buckling optimization of curvilinear fiber-reinforced composite structures using a parametric level set method

Owing to their excellent performance and large design space,curvilinear fiber-reinforced composite structures have gained considerable attention in engineering fields such as aerospace and *** addition to the stiffness and strength of such structures,their stability also needs to be taken into account in the *** study proposes a level-set-based optimization framework for maximizing the buckling load of curvilinear fiber-reinforced composite *** the proposed method,the contours of the level set function are used to represent fiber *** a composite laminate with a certain number of layers,one level set function is defined by radial basis functions and expansion coefficients for each ***,the fiber angle at an arbitrary point is the tangent orientation of the contour through this *** the finite element of buckling,the stiffness and geometry matrices of an element are related to the fiber angle at the element *** study considers the parallelism constraint for fiber *** the sensitivity calculation of the objective and constraint functions,the method of moving asymptotes is utilized to iteratively update all the expansion coefficients regarded as design *** numerical examples under different boundary conditions are given to validate the proposed *** show that the optimized curved fiber paths tend to be parallel and equidistant regardless of whether the composite laminates contain holes or ***,the buckling resistance of the final design is significantly improved.

FP-Zernike:An Open-source Structural Database Construction Toolkit for Fast Structure Retrieval

Short lifespan and ‘prime period’ of carbon sequestration call for multi-ages in dryland tree plantations

Enhancing forest cover is important for effective climate change *** suggest that drylands are promising areas for expanding forests,but conflicts arise with increased forest area and water *** tree mortality in drylands raises concerns about carbon sequestration potential in tree *** Chinese dryland tree plantations as an example,we compared their growth with natural *** results suggested plantation trees grew 1.6–2.1 times faster in juvenile phases,significantly shortening time to maturity(13.5 vs.30 years)compared to natural forests,potentially stemming from simple plantation age *** from natural forests,74%of trees in plantations faced growth decline,indicating a short“prime period”for carbon sequestration and even a short ***,a negative relationship between evapotranspiration and tree growth was observed in tree plantations since maturity,leading to high sensitivities of trees to vapor pressure deficit and soil ***,this was not observed in natural *** address this,we suggest afforestation in drylands should consider complex age structures,ensuring a longer prime period for carbon sequestration and life expectancy in tree plantations.

MRI Features and Site-specific Factors of Ischemic Changes in White Matter： A Retrospective Study

Brain magnetic resonance imaging （MRI） of the elderly often reveals white matter changes （WMCs） with substantial variability across individuals. Our study was designed to explore MRI features and site-specific factors of ischemic WMCs. Clinical data of consecutive patients diagnosed with ischemic cerebral vascular disease who had undergone brain MRI were collected and analyzed. Multi-logistic regression analysis comparing patients with mild versus severe WMCs was performed to detect independent associations. Analyses of variance （ANOVAs） were used to detect regionally specific differences in lesions. We found that lesion distribution differed significantly across five cerebral areas, with lesions being predominant in the frontal lobe and parieto-occipital area. To explore WMCs risk factors, after adjusting for gender, diabetes mellitus, and hypertension, only age （P〈0.01）, creatinine （P=0.01）, alkaline phosphatase （ALP）（P=0.01） and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol （LDL-C）（P=0.03） were found to be independently associated with severe WMCs. Age （P〈0.001） was strongly associated with WMCs in the frontal lobe while hypertension was independently related to lesions in the basal ganglia （P=0.048） or infratentorial area （P=0.016）. In conclusion, MRI of WMCs showed that ischemic WMCs occurred mostly in the frontal lobe and parieto-occipital area. The infratentorial area was least affected by WMCs. Typically, age-related WMCs were observed in the frontal lobes, while hypertension-related WMCs tended to occur in the basal ganglia and infratentorial area.

An M-VCUT level set-based data-driven model of microstructures and optimization of two-scale structures

The optimization of two-scale structures can adapt to the different needs of materials in various regions by reasonably arranging different microstructures at the macro scale,thereby considerably improving structural ***,a multiple variable cutting(M-VCUT)level set-based data-driven model of microstructures is presented,and a method based on this model is proposed for the optimal design of two-scale *** geometry of the microstructure is described using the M-VCUT level set method,and the effective mechanical properties of microstructures are computed by the homogenization ***,a database of microstructures containing their geometric and mechanical parameters is *** two sets of parameters are adopted as input and output datasets,and a mapping relationship between the two datasets is established to build the data-driven model of *** the optimization of two-scale structures,the data-driven model is used for macroscale finite element and sensitivity *** efficiency of the analysis and optimization of two-scale structures is improved because the computational costs of invoking such a data-driven model are much smaller than those of homogenization.
