Catalytic degradation of chlorinated volatile organic compounds(CVOCs)over Ce-Mn-Ti composite oxide catalysts

Developing industrially moldable catalysts with harmonized redox performance and acidity is of great significance for the efficient disposal of chlorinated volatile organic compounds(CVOCs)in actual exhaust ***,commercial TiO_(2.,typically used for molding catalysts,was chosen as the carrier to fabricate a series of Ce_(0.02.Mn_(0-0.2.)TiO_(x) materials with different Mn doping ratios and employed for chlorobenzene(CB)*** introduction of Mn remarkedly facilitated the synergistic effect of each element via the electron transfer processes:Ce^(3+)+Mn^(4+/3+)■Ce^(4+)+Mn^(3+/2.)and Mn^(4+/3+)+Ti^(4+)■Mn^(3+/2.)+Ti^(3+).These synergistic interactions in Ce_(0.02.Mn_(0.04-0.2.)TiO_(x),especially Ce_(0.02.Mn_(0.16)TiO_(x),significantly elevated the active oxygen species,oxygen vacancies and redox properties,endowing the superior catalytic oxidation of *** the Mn doping amount increased to 0.2.,a separate Mn_(3)O_(4) phase appeared,which in turn might weaken the synergistic ***,the acidity of Ce_(0.02.Mn_(0.04-0.2.)TiO_(x) was decreased with the Mn doping,regulating the balance of redox property and ***,Ce_(0.02.Mn_(0.16)TiO_(x) featured relatively abundant B-acid *** coordinating redox ability and moderate acidity promoted the deep oxidation of CB and RCOOH-intermediates,as well as the rapid desorption of Cl species,thus obtaining sustainable *** comparison,CeTiO_(x) owned the strongest acidity,however,its poor redox property was not sufficient for the timely oxidative decomposition of the easier adsorbed CB,resulting in its rapid *** finding provides a promising strategy for the construction of efficient commercial molding catalysts to decompose the industrial-scale CVOCs.

Biochanin A attenuates spinal cord injury in rats during early stages by inhibiting oxidative stress and inflammasome activation

Previous studies have shown that Biochanin A,a flavonoid compound with estrogenic effects,can serve as a neuroprotective agent in the context of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury;howeve r,its effect on spinal cord injury is still unclea r. In this study,a rat model of spinal cord injury was established using the heavy o bject impact method,and the rats were then treated with Biochanin A(40 mg/kg) via intrape ritoneal injection for 14 consecutive *** res ults showed that Biochanin A effectively alleviated spinal cord neuronal injury and spinal co rd tissue injury,reduced inflammation and oxidative stress in spinal cord neuro ns,and reduced apoptosis and *** addition,Biochanin A inhibited the expression of inflammasome-related proteins(ASC,NLRP3,and GSDMD)and the Toll-like receptor 4/nuclear factor-κB pathway,activated the Nrf2.heme oxygenase 1 signaling pathway,and increased the expression of the autophagy markers LC3 Ⅱ,Beclin-1,and *** r,the therapeutic effects of Biochanin A on early post-s pinal cord injury were similar to those of *** findings suggest that Biochanin A protected neurons in the injured spinal cord through the Toll-like receptor 4/nuclear factor κB and Nrf2.heme oxygenase 1 signaling *** findings suggest that Biochanin A can alleviate post-spinal cord injury at an early stage.

The utilization of solid-state electrolytes(SSEs)presents a promising solution to the issues of safety concern and shuttle effect in Li–S batteries,which has garnered significant interest ***,the high interfacial impedances existing between the SSEs and the electrodes(both lithium anodes and sulfur cathodes)hinder the charge transfer and intensify the uneven deposition of lithium,which ultimately result in insufficient capacity utilization and poor cycling ***,the reduction of interfacial resistance between SSEs and electrodes is of paramount importance in the pursuit of efficacious solid-state *** this review,we focus on the experimental strategies employed to enhance the interfacial contact between SSEs and electrodes,and summarize recent progresses of their applications in solidstate Li–S ***,the challenges and perspectives of rational interfacial design in practical solid-state Li–S batteries are outlined as *** expect that this review will provide new insights into the further technique development and practical applications of solid-state lithium batteries.

Mechanical and damping performances of TPMS lattice metamaterials fabricated by laser powder bed fusion

Lattice metamaterials based on three-period minimum surface(TPMS)are an effective means to achieve lightweight and high-strength materials which are widely used in various fields such as aerospace and ***,its vibration and noise reduction,and damping properties have not been fully ***,in this study,the TPMS structures with parameterization were designed by the method of surface migration,and the TPMS structures with high forming quality was manufactured by laser powder bed fusion(LPBF).The mechanical properties and energy absorption characteristics of the beam and TPMS structures were studied and compared by quasi-static *** modal shapes of the beam lattice structures and TPMS structures were obtained by the free modal analysis,and the damping properties of two structures were obtained by modal *** the two structures after heat treatment with the same porosity of 70%,the yield strength of the beam lattice structure reaches 40.76 MPa,elastic modulus is 2..38 GPa,the energy absorption value is 32.2. MJ·m^(-3),the damping ratio is 0.52..The yield strength,elastic modulus,energy absorption value,and damping ratio of the TPMS structure are 50.74 MPa,2..37 GPa,47.34 MJ·m^(-3),and 0.99%,*** results show that TPMS structures exhibit more excellent mechanical properties and energy absorption,better damping performance,and obvious advantages in structural load and vibration and noise reduction compared with the beam lattice structures under the same porosity.

A prognosis model for predicting immunotherapy response of esophageal cancer based on oxidative stress-related signatures

Oxidative stress(OS)is intimately associated with tumorigenesis and has been considered a potential therapeutic ***,the OS-associated therapeutic target for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)remains *** our study,gene expression data of ESCC and clinical information from public databases were *** LASSO-Cox regression analysis,a risk score(RS)signature map of prognosis was constructed and performed external verification with the GSE5362. *** ESTIMATE,xCell,CIBERSORT,TIMER,and ImmuCellAI algorithms were employed to analyze infiltrating immune cells and generate an immune microenvironment(IM).Afterward,functional enrichment analysis clarified the underlying mechanism of the *** was utilized for forecasting the survival rate of individual ESCC *** a result,we successfully constructed an OS-related genes(OSRGs)model and found that the survival rate of high-risk groups was lower than that of low-risk *** AUC of the ROC verified the strong prediction performance of the signal in these two cohorts *** to independent prognostic analysis,the RS was identified as an independent risk factor for *** nomogram and follow-up data revealed that the RS possesses favorable predictive value for the prognosis of ESCC ***-PCR detection demonstrated increased expression of MPC1,COX6C,CYB5R3,CASP7,and CYCS in esophageal cancer *** conclusion,we have constructed an OSRGs model for ESCC to predict patients’prognosis,offering a novel insight into the potential application of the OSRGs model in ESCC.

Source apportionment and suitability evaluation of seasonal VOCs contaminants in the soil around a typical refining-chemical integration park in China

Accurate source apportionment of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)in soil nearby petrochemical industries prevailing globally,is critical for preventing ***,in the process,seasonal effect on contamination pathways and accumulation of soil VOCs is often ***,Yanshan Refining-Chemical Integration Park,including a carpet,refining,synthetic rubber,and two synthetic resin zones,was selected for *** variations resulted in a gradual decrease of 31 VOCs in soil from winter to summer.A method of dry deposition resistance model coupling partitioning coefficient model was created,revealing that dry deposition by gas phase was the primary pathway for VOCs to enter soil in winter and spring,with 100 times higher fux than by particle *** profiles for five zones were built by gas sampling with distinct substance indicators screened,which were used for positive matrix factorization factors *** of the five zones were 14.9%,2..8%,13.6%,2..1%,and 2..6%in winter and 33.4%,12.5%,10.7%,2..9%,and 18.5%in spring,*** variation in the soil sorption capacity of VOCs causes inter-seasonal differences in *** better correlation between dry deposition capacity and soil storage of VOCs made root mean square and mean absolute errors decrease averagely by 8.8%and 5.5%in winter compared to *** study provides new perspectives and methods for the source apportionment of soil VOCs contamination in industrial sites.

Effect of TiO_(2. addition on microstructures and properties of Mgo-Cao refractory aggregates
