Recombinant human thrombopoietin in alleviating endothelial cell injury in sepsis

Background To evaluate the effect of recombinant human thrombopoietin(rhTPO)on clinical prognosis by exploring changes in endothelial cell injury markers and inflammatory factors in patients with sepsis after treatment with *** This retrospective observational study involved patients with sepsis(diagnosed according to Sepsis 3.0)admitted to Shanghai General Hospital intensive care unit from January 1,2019 to December 31,*** were divided into two groups(control and rhTPO)according to whether they received *** information,clinical data,prognosis,and survival status of the patients,as well as inflammatory factors and immune function indicators were *** main monitoring indicators were endothelial cell-specific molecule(ESM-1),human heparin-binding protein(HBP),and CD31;secondary monitoring indicators were interleukin(IL)-6,tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α,extravascular lung water index,platelet,antithrombin III,fibrinogen,and international normalized *** used intraperitoneal injection of lipopolysaccharide(LPS)to establish a mouse model of *** were randomly divided into four groups:normal saline,LPS,LPS+rhTPO,and LPS+rhTPO+*** indicators in mice were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent *** A total of 84 patients were included in the *** 7 days of treatment,ESM-1 decreased more significantly in the rhTPO group than in the control group compared with day 1(median=38.6[interquartile range,IQR:7.2 to 67.8]pg/mL ***=23.0[IQR:−15.7 to 51.5]pg/mL,P=0.008).HBP and CD31 also decreased significantly in the rhTPO group compared with the control group(median=59.6[IQR:−1.9 to 91.9]pg/mL ***=2.4[IQR:−23.2 to 43.2]pg/mL;median=2.4[IQR:0.4 to 3.5]pg/mL ***=−0.6[IQR:−2.2 to 0.8]pg/mL,P<0.001).Inflammatory markers IL-6 and TNF-αdecreased more significantly in the rhTPO group than in the control group compared with day 1(median=46.0[IQR:15.8 to 99.1]pg/mL ***=31.2[IQR:19.7 to 171.0]

Ursolic acid(UA)is a naturally occurring ursane triterpenoid,which exhibits a wide range of unique biological *** clarify its mechanism of action(MOA),a series of fluorescent derivatives of UA(5a-c)were designed and synthesized by conjugation with 7-nitrobenzo-2-oxa-1,3-diazole(NBD)*** them,5c exhibited similar anti-proliferative activity with UA against HCT116 cells(half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC_(50))=9.21±0.50μmol/L).Cell imaging experiment indicated that 5c was rapidly taken up in HCT116 cells in a dose and time-dependent ***,5c was found to localize in endoplasmic reticulum(ER),lysosomes,and mitochondria,but not in nucleus of HCT116 cells by confocal microscopy *** MOA proved that UA induced autophagy with a unique intracellular distribution mechanism involving ER and *** all,our work provides new clues for revealing the molecular mechanism of UA as an antitumor agent.

The selective oxidation of methane under mild conditions remains the“Holy Grail of Catalysis”.The key to activating methane and inhibiting over-oxidation of target oxygenates lies in designing active *** nanoparticles were loaded onto TiO_(2) nanofibers using the photo-deposition *** resulting catalysts were found to effectively convert methane into C1 oxygenated products under mild *** with previously reported catalysts,it delivers a superior performance of up to 2510.7 mmol·g_(Cu)^(-1)·h^(-1) productivity with a selectivity of around 100%at 80℃for 5 *** characterizations and density functional theory(DFT)calculations indicate that TiO_(2) in the mixed phase of anatase and rutile significantly increases the Cu^(+)/CuO ratio of the supported Cu species,and this ratio is linearly related to the formation rate of oxygen-containing *** CuI site promotes the generation of active O species from H_(2)O_(2) dissociation on Cu_(2)O(111).These active O species reduce the energy barrier for breaking the C-H bond of CH_(4),thus boosting the catalytic *** methane conversion mechanism was proposed as a methyl radical pathway to form CH_(3)OH and CH_(3)OOH,and then the generated CH_(3)OH is further oxidized to HOCH_(2)OOH.

Output feedback stabilization of stochastic high-order planar nonlinear systems with stochastic inverse dynamics and output-constraint

In this paper, we solve the output feedback control problem of stochastic high-order planar nonlinear systems with output constraint and stochastic integral input-to-state stability(SiISS) inverse dynamics. By employing a key coordinate transformation, a stochastic nonlinear system with output constraint and SiISS inverse dynamics is converted into an unconstrained system. By skillfully constructing an observer and adopting SiISS small-gain conditions, we develop a new output feedback control design and analysis method, and prove that all the closed-system signals are bounded almost surely, the output constraint is not violated almost surely, and the equilibrium point of the closed-loop system is stochastically asymptotically stable.

Interplay between the atomic structures and superconductivity of two-monolayer Pb films

Superconductors with reduced dimensionality have been widely explored for their exotic superconducting ***,at the two-dimensional limit,two-monolayer Pb films with two types of structures provide an ideal platform to unveil the underlying superconducting mechanism[Science 324,1314(2009)].Here,by combining scanning tunneling microscopy(STM)with the first-principle calculations,we successfully identify that these two types have different atomic lattice structures with varying stacking phases,which further enables us to calculate the phonon spectrum and electron phonon coupling strength of each *** theoretical calculations are in good agreement with tunneling spectroscopy measurements of the superconducting transition temperatures(T_(c)),which established a correlation between atomic structures and ***,it was observed that the higher T_(c)of these two types also possess higher out-of-plane upper critical magnetic fields(Hc2).These findings will provide important new insights into two-dimensional superconductivity at the atomic level.

Fixed-time stabilization of output-constrained stochastic high-order nonlinear systems

In this study, the fixed-time stabilization problem of stochastic high-order nonlinear systems with output constraint and high-order and low-order nonlinearities is addressed. A new coordinate transformation is employed to directly convert output-constrained stochastic systems into an equivalent unconstrained *** fully extracting the characteristics of system nonlinearities and using the stochastic fixed-time stability theorem, a new design and analysis method is constructed to guarantee that the trivial solution of the closed-loop system is stochastically fixed-time stable while fulfilling the output constraint.
