A porous 3D cross-linked conductive network pierced by multi-wall carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) was successfully designed from zeolitic imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8). Zn@NPC@MWCNTs composites were tailored by the facile regulating the mass ratios and thermal annealing treatment. Due to the combination of less eddy current loss and dielectric loss together with multiple reflection attenuation caused by a unique structure. With a 10 wt% filler loading, the Zn@NPC@MWCNTs composites carbonized at 800℃ show two high reflection loss(RL) values with different thicknesses. An RL value is-53.18 dB with 4.09 mm thickness in the C-Band(4-8 GHz), and a minimum RL can reach-74.83 d B(10.8 GHz)with a matching thickness of 2.749 mm. The effective absorption bandwidth is 4 GHz(from 8 to 12 GHz,RL ≤-10 d B), which just covers the full X-band. Low cost and easy preparation can also provide advantages to develop MOF-based materials as effective EMW absorbents.

The acquisition of neutron time spectrum data plays a pivotal role in the precise quantification of uranium via prompt fission neutron uranium logging(PFNUL). However, the impact of the detector dead-time effect remains paramount in the accurate acquisition of the neutron time spectrum. Therefore, it is imperative for neutron logging instruments to establish a dead-time correction method that is not only uncomplicated but also practical and caters to various logging sites. This study has formulated an innovative equation for determining dead time and introduced a dead-time correction method for the neutron time spectrum, called the “dual flux method.” Using this approach, a logging instrument captures two neutron time spectra under disparate neutron fluxes. By carefully selecting specific “windows” on the neutron time spectrum, the dead time can be accurately ascertained. To substantiate its efficacy and discern the influencing factors, experiments were conducted utilizing a deuterium–tritium(D–T) neutron source, a Helium-3( 3He) detector, and polyethylene shielding to collate and analyze the neutron time spectrum under varying neutron fluxes(at high voltages). The findings underscore that the “height” and “spacing” of the two windows are the most pivotal influencing factors. Notably, the “height”( fd) should surpass 2, and the “spacing” twd should exceed 200 μ s. The dead time of the 3 He detector determined in the experiment was 7.35 μ s. After the dead-time correction, the deviation of the decay coefficients from the theoretical values for the neutron time spectrum under varying neutron fluxes decreased from 12.4% to within 5%. Similarly, for the PFNUL instrument, the deviation in the decay coefficients decreased from 22.94 to 0.49% after correcting for the dead-time effect. These results demonstrate the exceptional efficacy of the proposed method in ensuring precise uranium quantification. The dual flux method was experimentally validated as a universal approach

Mass spectrometric behaviour of （R） -1- （ 4-alkylphenyl ） alcohols, 1- （4-alkoxylphenyl） alcohols, and 1- （4-alkylthiophenyl） alcohols were studied with the aid of mass-analyzed ion kinetic energy spectrometry under electron impact ionization. All the title compounds show a tendency to eliminate a water molecule to form alkene ions and undergo an a-cleavago to produce protonated aldehyde ions by the loss of alkyl radicals. Except these two common fragment ions, they also show some different fragmentations due to with or without oxy/thioether-linkage.

To establish an adequate thermodynamic model for the mechanism of formation of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) corrosion products, theoretical and experimental studies were combined in this work. The corrosion products of API X60 pipeline steel formed under different H2S corrosion conditions were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. A thermodynamic model was developed to clarify the environmental boundaries for the formation and transformation of different products. Presumably, a dividing line with a negative slope existed between mackinawite and pyrrhotite. Using experimental data presented in this study combined with previously published results, we validated the model to predict the formation of mackinawite and pyrrhotite on the basis of the laws of thermodynamics. The established relationship is expected to support the investigation of the H2S corrosion mechanism in the oil and gas industry. © 2017, University of Science and Technology Beijing and Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

Flexible lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) have received tremendous interest because they can provide essential flexible power for the emerging wearable ***,the realization of the flexibility of LIBs is often related to flexible substrates with high electrical resistance,which results in voltage loss of the battery and is unfavorable for their practical *** this work,we demonstrated the use of tab engineering to mediate the resistance of flexible batteries for high current *** resistance of the obtained pouch cell can be decreased sharply and the output current can be significantly increased by a continuous tab with desirable power and energy *** surprising performance of the flexible LIBs allows the tab on the current collector providing enough channels for electron transfer,thus enabling electrons to be transferred quickly and enhancing the electrochemical reaction *** a flexible battery with sufficient output current could possibly solve some of the most critical problems for their practical applications in wearable electronics.

Ischemic stroke is one of the leading causes of death *** the post-stroke stage,cardiac dysfunction is common and is known as the brain-heart *** mellitus worsens the post-stroke ***-induced systemic inflammation is the major causative factor for the sequential complications,but the mechanism underlying the brain-heart interaction in diabetes has not been *** NLRP3(NLR pyrin domain-containing 3) inflammasome,an important component of the inflammation after stroke,is mainly activated in M1-polarized *** this study,we found that the cardiac dysfunction induced by ischemic stroke is more severe in a mouse model of type 2 ***,M1-polarized macrophage infiltration and NLRP3 inflammasome activation increased in the cardiac ventricle after diabetic ***,the NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor CY-09 restored cardiac function,indicating that the Ml-polarized macrophage-NLRP3 inflammasome activation is a pathway underlying the brain-heart interaction after diabetic stroke.

Lithium dendrite growth due to uneven electrodeposition usually leads to the potential hazard of internal short circuit and shorter lifetime of lithium-based batteries. Extensive efforts have been devoted to explore the effects of single or two factors on dendrite growth, involving the diffusion coefficient, exchange current density, electrolyte concentration, temperature, and applied voltage. However, these factors interrelate during battery operation, signifying that a understanding of how they jointly influence the electrodeposition is of paramount importance for the effective suppression of dendrites. Here, we incorporate the dependent relationships among key factors into the phase-field model to capture their synergistic effects on electrodeposition. All the simulations are implemented in our self-written MATLAB code under a unified modeling framework. Following this, five groups of experimentally common dendrite patterns are reproduced and the corresponding electrodeposition driving forces are identified. Unexpectedly, we find that with the decrease of the ratio of exchange current density(or applied voltage) to diffusion coefficient, the electrodeposition morphology changes from needle-like dendrites to columnar dendrites and to uniform deposition. The present phase-field simulation tends to depict the practical electrodeposition process, providing important insights into synergistic regulation to suppress dendrite growth.
