Chronic stress is generally accepted as the main risk factor in the development of cognitive decline;however,the underlying mechanisms remain *** data have demonstrated that the levels of homocysteine(Hcy)are significantly elevated in the plasma of stressed animals,which suggests that Hcy is associated with stress and cognitive *** test this hypothesis,we analyzed the cognitive function,plasma concentrations of Hcy,and brain-derived neurotropic factor(BDNF)levels in rats undergoing chronic unpredicted mild stress(CUMS).The results showed that decreased cognitive behavioral performance and decreased BDNF transcription and protein expression were correlated with hyperhomocysteinemia(HHcy)levels in stressed ***-induced HHcy mimicked the cognitive decline and BDNF downregulation in the same manner as CUMS,while Hcy reduction(by means of vitamin B complex supplements)alleviated the cognitive deficits and BDNF reduction in CUMS ***,we also found that both stress and HHcy disturbed the DNA methylation process in the brain and induced DNA hypermethylation in the BDNF *** contrast,control of Hcy blocked BDNF promoter methylation and upregulated BDNF levels in the *** results imply the possibility of a causal role of Hcy in stress-induced cognitive *** also used ten-eleven translocation(TET1),an enzyme that induces DNA demethylation,to verify the involvement of Hcy and DNA methylation in the regulation of BDNF expression and the development of stress-related cognitive *** data showed that TET1-expressing viral injection into the hippocampus inhibited BDNF promoter methylation and significantly mitigated the cognitive decline in HHcy *** together,novel evidence from the present study suggests that Hcy is likely involved in chronic stress-induced BDNF reduction and related cognitive *** addition,the negative side-effects of HHcy may be associated with Hcy-induced DNA hypermethylation in the BDN

Objective To review the updated research on neuroprotection in glaucoma, and summarize the potential agents investigated so far. data sources The data in this review were collected from PubMed and Google Scholar databases published in English up to September 2012, with keywords including glaucoma, neuroprotection, and retinal ganglion cells, both alone and in combination. Publications from the past ten years were selected, but important older articles were not excluded. Study selection Articles about neuroprotection in glaucoma were selected and reviewed, and those that are cited in articles identified by this search strategy and judged relevant to this review were also included. Results Although lowering the intraocular pressure is the only therapy approved as being effective in the treatment of glaucoma, increasing numbers of studies have discovered various mechanisms of retinal ganglion cells death in the glaucoma and relevant neuroprotective strategies. These strategies target neurotrophic factor deprivation, excitotoxic damage, oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammation, activation of intrinsic and extrinsic apoptotic signals, ischemia, and protein misfolding. Exploring the mechanism of axonal transport failure, synaptic dysfunction, the glial system in glaucoma, and stem cell used in glaucoma constitute promising research areas of the future. Conclusions Neuroprotective strategies continue to be refined, and future deep investment in researching the pathogenesis of glaucoma may provide novel and practical neuroprotection tactics. Establishing a system to assess the effects of neuroprotection treatments may further facilitate this research.

The combination of photodynamic therapy（PDT） and chemodynamic therapy（CDT） in tumor treatment has attracted considerable ***,tumor hypoxia and glutathione（GSH） overproduction in the tumor tissue restricted the progress of their ***,a Mn-porphyrinic metal-organic framework（Mn-TCPP） was constructed by the one-pot method and further used for immobilizing glucose oxidase（GOx） to obtain GOx@*** would rapidly exhaust endogenous glucose into hydrogen peroxide（H2O2） and gluconic acid,thus shutting off the energy supply of tumor cells for starvation ***-TCPP catalyzed H2O2to produce oxygen,regulating the hypoxic tumor microenvironment and in turn improving1O2generation under laser ***,Mn-TCPP can reduce reactive oxygen species consumption owing to the redox reaction between Mn3+and GSH,thus greatly enhancing ***,benefiting from GOx-mediated starvation therapy,Mn2+produced by Mn3+reduction can react with sufficient intracellular H2O2to generate ·OH with high cytotoxicity through a Fenton-like *** treatment by GOx@Mn-TCPP under laser irradiation in vitro,the cell viability of 4T1 and A549 tumor cells reached to 20%,reflecting GOx@Mn-TCPP could give full play to the advantages of PDT/CDT/starvation *** results in vivo demonstrated that GOx@Mn-TCPP mediated synergistic cascade therapy could significantly inhibit tumor growth and improve the therapeutic effect.

A two-stage algorithm based on deep learning for the detection and recognition of can bottom spray codes and numbers is proposed to address the problems of small character areas and fast production line speeds in can bottom spray code number *** the coding number detection stage,Differentiable Binarization Network is used as the backbone network,combined with the Attention and Dilation Convolutions Path Aggregation Network feature fusion structure to enhance the model detection *** terms of text recognition,using the Scene Visual Text Recognition coding number recognition network for end-to-end training can alleviate the problem of coding recognition errors caused by image color distortion due to variations in lighting and background *** addition,model pruning and quantization are used to reduce the number ofmodel parameters to meet deployment requirements in resource-constrained environments.A comparative experiment was conducted using the dataset of tank bottom spray code numbers collected on-site,and a transfer experiment was conducted using the dataset of packaging box production *** experimental results show that the algorithm proposed in this study can effectively locate the coding of cans at different positions on the roller conveyor,and can accurately identify the coding numbers at high production line *** Hmean value of the coding number detection is 97.32%,and the accuracy of the coding number recognition is 98.21%.This verifies that the algorithm proposed in this paper has high accuracy in coding number detection and recognition.

Bisphenol A(BPA)is an industrial pollutant that can cause immune *** acts as an antioxidant,as selenium deficiency often accompanies oxidative stress,resulting in organ *** study is the first to demonstrate that BPA and/or selenium deficiency induce pyroptosis and ferroptosis-mediated thymic injury in chicken and chicken lymphoma cell(MDCC-MSB-1)via oxidative stress-induced endoplasmic reticulum(ER)*** established a broiler chicken model of BPA and/or selenium deficiency exposure and collected thymus samples as research subjects after 42 *** results demonstrated that BPA or selenium deficiency led to a decrease in antioxidant enzyme activities(T-AOC,CAT,and GSH-Px),accumulation of peroxides(H2O2 and Mda),significant upregulation of ER stress-relatedmarkers(GRP78,IER 1,PERK,EIF-2α,ATF4,and CHOP),a significant increase in iron ion levels,significant upregulation of pyroptosis-related gene(NLRP3,ASC,Caspase1,GSDMD,IL-18 and IL-1β),significantly increase ferroptosis-related genes(TFRC,COX2)and downregulate GPX4,HO-1,FTH,*** vitro experiments conducted in MDCC-MSB-1 cells confirmed the results,demonstrating that the addition of antioxidant(NAC),ER stress inhibitor(TUDCA)and pyroptosis inhibitor(Vx765)alleviated oxidative stress,endoplasmic reticulum stress,pyroptosis,and ***,this study concludes that the combined effects of oxidative stress and ER stress mediate pyroptosis and ferroptosis in chicken thymus induced by BPA exposure and selenium deficiency.

Effect of pyrite content on chalcopyrite flotation under different regrinding conditions

This study aimed to investigate the effect of varying pyrite(Py)content on copper(Cu)in the presence of different regrinding conditions,which were altered using different types of grinding media:iron,ceramic balls,and their mixture,followed by flotation in the cleaner *** flotation performance of rough Cu concentrate can be improved by changing the regrinding conditions based on the Py *** electron microscopy,X-ray spectrometry,ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt extraction,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy studies illustrated that when the Py content was high,the use of iron media in regrinding promoted the generation of hydrophilic Fe OOH on the surface of Py and improved the Cu *** ceramic medium with a low Py content prevented excessive Fe OOH from covering the surface of chalcopyrite(Cpy).Electrochemical studies further showed that the galvanic corrosion current of Cpy-Py increased with the addition of Py and became stronger with the participation of iron media.

Prediction and optimization of flue pressure in sintering process based on SHAP

Sinter is the core raw material for blast *** pressure,which is an important state parameter,affects sinter *** this paper,flue pressure prediction and optimization were studied based on the shapley additive explanation(SHAP)to predict the flue pressure and take targeted adjustment ***,the sintering process data were collected and processed.A flue pressure prediction model was then constructed after comparing different feature selection methods and model algorithms using SHAP+extremely random-ized trees(ET).The prediction accuracy of the model within the error range of±0.25 kPa was 92.63%.SHAP analysis was employed to improve the interpretability of the prediction *** effects of various sintering operation parameters on flue pressure,the relation-ship between the numerical range of key operation parameters and flue pressure,the effect of operation parameter combinations on flue pressure,and the prediction process of the flue pressure prediction model on a single sample were analyzed.A flue pressure optimization module was also constructed and analyzed when the prediction satisfied the judgment *** operating parameter combination was then *** flue pressure was increased by 5.87%during the verification process,achieving a good optimization effect.

Why do humans punish free riders at their own expense? This behavior represents an evolutionary puzzle in human societies. This study explores the role of exit strategies in fostering altruistic punishment within evolutionary game theory. We extend the traditional prisoner's dilemma model by incorporating exiters, players who opt out for a small payoff while nullifying their opponent's payoff, and altruistic punishers who cooperate and punish non-cooperators. Our findings indicate that in well-mixed populations, exiters destabilize defection but do not promote altruistic punishment. In social networks, however,exiters enable altruistic punishment via cyclic dominance among altruistic punishers, defectors, and exiters. Notably, this cyclic dominance is sensitive to exit payoffs; adjustments can lead to cyclic dominance of non-punishing cooperators, defectors, and exiters, or to a bi-stable state between these two types of cyclic dominance. These results highlight the nuanced impact of exiters on altruistic punishment, emphasizing the need for careful incentivization of exit behavior. While exiters can support altruistic punishment in networked populations, their effectiveness is not a panacea and is highly sensitive to exit payoffs, indicating limits to the voluntary participation mechanism.
