Building energy consumption and building carbon emissions both account for more than 20%of their total national values in *** employing phase change material(PCM)for passive temperature control shows a promising prospect in meeting the comfort demand and reducing energy consumption ***,there is a lack of more detailed research on the interaction between the location and thickness of PCM and indoor natural convection,as well as indoor temperature *** this study,the numerical model of a passive temperature-controlled building integrating the developed PCM module is established with the help of *** which,the actual weather condition of Beijing city is set as the boundary conditions and the indoor natural convection is simulated with the consideration of radiation *** effects of PCM’s thickness and location on the internal temperature field are analyzed and *** results show that the room could maintain within the human comfort temperature range with the longest ratio of 94.10%and the shortest ratio of 51.04%as integrating *** comparison,the value is only 26.70%without *** room’s maximum temperature fluctuation can also be improved;it could be lowered by 64.4%compared to the normal *** the quantity of PCM is sufficient,further increasing the PCM amount results in a temperature fluctuation reduction of less than 0.1°C and does not increase the comfort *** PCM on the wall induces an apparent variation in indoor temperature along the vertical ***,placing PCM on the roof can lead to a heat transfer rate difference of up to seven *** optimal placement of PCM depends on the difference between the environmental and phase change *** the difference is positive,placing PCM on the roof is more effective;conversely,the opposite *** to the results over the entire cycle,PCM application on vertical walls yields better *** significant diffe

The kagome system has attracted great interest in condensed matter physics due to its unique structure that canhost various exotic states such as superconductivity(SC),charge density waves(CDWs)and nontrivial topological *** topological semimetal RbTi_(3)Bi_(5)consisting of a Ti kagome layer shares a similar crystal structure to the topologicalcorrelated materials AV_(3)Sb_(5)(A=K,Rb,Cs)but without the absence of CDW and *** de Haas-van Alphenoscillation measurements are performed on single crystals of RbTi_(3)Bi_(5)to pursue nontrivial topological physics and *** this with theoretical calculations,the detailed Fermi surface topology and band structure are investigated.A two-dimensional Fermi pocket b is revealed with a light effective mass,consistent with the semimetal *** fan diagram of RbTi_(3)Bi_(5)reveals a zero Berry phase for the b oscillation in contrast to that of CsTi_(3)Bi_(5).Theseresults suggest that kagome RbTi_(3)Bi_(5)is a good candidate for exploring nontrivial topological exotic states and topologicalcorrelated physics.

Habitat restoration is an effective method for improving landscape connectivity,which can reduce habitat *** landscape connectivity could promote connections between habitat,which is extremely essential to preserve gene flow and population *** study proposes a methodological framework to analyze landscape connectivity for Asian elephant habitat conservation,aiming to provide practical options for reducing habitat fragmentation and improving habitat *** approach involved combining a species distribution model using MaxEnt and landscape functional connectivity models using graph theory to assess the impact on connectivity improvement via farmland/plantation restoration as *** results showed that:(1)there were 119 suitable habitat patches of Asian elephant covering a total area of 1952.41 km^(2).(2)The connectivity between habitats improved significantly after vegetation restoration and the gain first decreased and then increased with the increase of dispersal distance.(3)The first few new habitat patches that were identified played an important role in improving connectivity,and the variation rate of connectivity gradually leveled off as the number of new habitats increased.(4)Prioritization of the 25 best new habitat patches increased connectivity from 0.54%to 5.59%as the dispersal distance increased and mainly was located between two Asian elephant distribution regions and two *** of new habitat patches was effective for improving or restoring *** findings can be used as guidance for improving the studied fragmented Asian elephant habitats,and they can also be used as a reference for the habitat restoration of other endangered species heavily affected by habitat fragmentation.

To accurately determine the chronological framework of climatic variations recorded by various Martian terrains, the absolute ages of Martian events and cratering rate need to be constrained by either in situ dating or returned samples. In situ K-Ar dating is currently a more plausible dating technique as compared with sample return. Jarosite(KFe_(3)[SO_(4)]_(2)[OH]_(6)) is the only confirmed K sulfate mineral that is widely present on Mars, as indicated by in situ detection, orbital remote sensing, and meteorite studies. Jarosite can be used for precise K-Ar and (40)Ar/(39)Ar dating. The preservation of jarosite on Mars provides information about the nature and duration of aqueous processes on the Martian surface. Different ages of Martian jarosite represent the key to constraining the transition from Martian surface water activity to arid climatic conditions. This paper summarizes recent advances in our knowledge of the spatial distribution of Martian jarosite, its mineralogical properties and stability on Mars, the Ar diffusion kinetics of jarosite, and the current status of in situ K-Ar dating. Moreover, we examine the key scientific issues to be addressed for in situ K-Ar dating of jarosite and Martian sample return missions, and discuss future research directions.

Clogging frequently occurs in the cutter head,excavation chamber or screw conveyor when an earth pressure balance(EPB)shield machine is tunneling in soft or silty clay ground with high clay mineral *** this paper,montmorillonite,kaolinite,and illite were selected as research objects,and molecular dynamics simulation and laboratory experiment were *** the microscopic scale,dynamic contact behavior and interfacial mechanical behavior of the interface between clay minerals and water/surfactant solution was simulated and the interfacial adhesion and conditioning mechanism between clay minerals and water/surfactant solution was ***,sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate surfactant was selected as the main composition of the soil ***,the adhesion stress before and after soil conditioning and the contact angles between clay minerals and water/surfactant solution were tested and analyzed at the macroscopic *** result shows that the contact angle between droplet and clay mineral surface is an important parameter to characterize soil *** simulation rules of the microscopic contact angle are consistent with the experiment ***,the adsorption energy between microscopic substances is dominated by electrostatic force,which can reflect the adhesion stress between macroscopic *** adhesion stress can be effectively decreased by adding the surfactant to the soil conditioner.

A class of multidomain hybrid methods of direct discontinuous Galerkin(DDG)methods and central difference(CD)schemes for the viscous terms is pro-posed in this *** conservative and nonconservative coupling modes are *** treat the shock wave,the nonconservative coupling mode automatically switch to conservative coupling mode to preserve the conservative property when discontinuities pass through the artiﬁcial *** maintain the accuracy of the hybrid methods,the Lagrange interpolation polynomials and their derivatives are reconstructed to handle the coupling cells in the DDG subdomain,while the values of ghost points for the CD subdomain are calculated by the approximate polynomials from the DDG *** linear stabilities of these methods are demonstrated in detail through von-Neumann *** multidomain hybrid DDG and CD meth-ods are then extended to one-and two-dimensional hyperbolic-parabolic *** results validate that the multidomain hybrid methods are high-order ac-curate in the smooth regions,robust for viscous shock simulations and capable to save computational cost.

Acinetobacter baumannii is a pathogenic bacterium widespread in human environments,especially in intensive care units,and is associated with high morbidity and infection *** drug resistance in *** frequently leads to the death of patients,making the development of multi-effect antibacterial agents against this bacterium a research *** have previously found that the X33 antimicrobial oligopeptide can effectively inhibit the growth of Penicillium digitatum and Candida ***,we evaluated the antibacterial activity of X33 antimicrobial oligopeptide against *** by determining the minimum inhibitory concentration,inhibition zone,and growth *** increase in extracellular alkaline phosphatase and the leakage of intracellular compounds confirmed the effect of X33 antimicrobial oligopeptide on the cell wall and *** in reactive oxygen species,malondialdehyde,ATP,reducing sugar,soluble protein,and pyruvate content demonstrated that the incubation with X33 antimicrobial oligopeptide affected energy metabolism and oxidative *** with the physiological characteristics,transcriptomics analysis indicated that incubation with X33 antimicrobial oligopeptide significantly induced changes in the expression of 2339 genes,including 1262 upregulated and 1077 downregulated genes,which participate in oxidative phosphorylation,ribosome,quorum sensing,fatty acid degradation,glycolysis/gluconeogenesis,and citrate cycle *** results provide a fundamental basis for investigating the mechanism of X33 antimicrobial oligopeptide as a potential drug against ***.

The sluggish kinetics behaviors and vast volume variations of Na+hosts to FeS2anode involved intercalation,and conversion reactions plague its applicability of sodium-ion batteries （SIBs）.Here,a significantly expedited kinetics via cation intercalation and considerably relieved stress accumulation by constructing the concave scaffold protector are approached for *** Mn2+intercalation into FeS2,a new stable Mn–FeS2was generated with distorted coordination;elevated antibonding orbital occupancy and lowed d band center to the release of more free Na+were achieved,which was further encapsulated by hollow bowl-like carbon spheres （BC）This cation intercalation and concave morphology strategies confer Mn–FeS2@BC significantly enhanced electron ion transport kinetics via reversed electron transfer to FeS2fast desolvation kinetics,and evidently depressed structural deformation during Na+insertion and ***,Mn–FeS2@BC delivers the longevity and stable Na+storage capacity in both half and full cell ***,Mn–FeS2@BC also displays excellen adaptability in a wider temperature *** work proposes new views into the deep regulation of electrochemical performance of transition metal anodes via intercalation chemistry and concave engineering.
