Efficient Data Compression of ECG signal Based on modified Discrete Cosine Transform

This paper introduced an efficient compression technique that uses the compressive sensing(Cs)method to obtain and recover sparse electrocardiography(ECG)*** recovery of the signal can be achieved by using sampling rates lower than the Nyquist frequency.A novel analysis was proposed in this *** apply Cs on ECG signal,the first step is to generate a sparse signal,which can be obtained using modified Discrete Cosine Transform(mDCT)on the given *** transformation is a promising key for other transformations used in this search domain and can be considered as the main contribution of this paper.A small number of wavelet components can describe the ECG signal as related work to obtain a sparse *** technique for ECGsignal compression,which is a novel area of research,is *** signals are introduced randomly between any successive beats of the ***-BIH database can be represented as the experimental database in this domain of ***-BIH database consists of various ECG signals involving a patient and standard ECG *** can be considered as the simulation tool used in this *** proposed method’s uniqueness was inspired by the compression ratio(CR)and achieved by *** performance measurement of the recovered signal was done by calculating the percentage root mean difference(PRD),mean square error(msE),and peak signal to noise ratio(PsNR)besides the calculation of ***,the simulation results indicated that this work is one of the most important works in ECG signal compression.

With the rapid development of emerging 5G and beyond(B5G),Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)are increasingly important to improve the performance of dense cellular *** a conventional metric,coverage probability has been widely studied in communication systems due to the increasing density of users and complexity of the heterogeneous *** recent years,stochastic geometry has attracted more attention as a mathematical tool for modeling mobile network *** this paper,an analytical approach to the coverage probability analysis of UAV-assisted cellular networks with imperfect beam alignment has been *** assumption was considered that all users are distributed according to Poisson Cluster Process(PCP)around base stations,in particular,Thomas Cluster Process(TCP).Using thismodel,the impact of beam alignment errors on the coverage probabilitywas ***,the ProbabilityDensity Function(PDF)of directional antenna gain between the user and its serving base station was ***,association probability with each tier was achieved.A tractable expression was derived for coverage probability in both Line-of-sight(Los)andNon-Line-of-sight(NLos)condition *** results demonstrated that at low UAVs altitude,beam alignment errors significantly degrade coverage ***,for a small cluster size,alignment errors do not necessarily affect the coverage performance.

Classification of electroencephalogram(EEG)signals for humans can be achieved via artificial intelligence(AI)***,the EEG signals associated with seizure epilepsy can be detected to distinguish between epileptic and non-epileptic *** this perspective,an automated AI technique with a digital processing method can be used to improve these *** paper proposes two classifiers:long short-term memory(LsTm)and support vector machine(sVm)for the classification of seizure and non-seizure EEG *** classifiers are applied to a public dataset,namely the University of Bonn,which consists of 2 classes–seizure and *** addition,a fast Walsh-Hadamard Transform(FWHT)technique is implemented to analyze the EEG signals within the recurrence space of the ***,Hadamard coefficients of the EEG signals are obtained via the ***,the FWHT is contributed to generate an efficient derivation of seizure EEG recordings from non-seizure EEG ***,a k-fold cross-validation technique is applied to validate the performance of the proposed *** LsTm classifier provides the best performance,with a testing accuracy of 99.00%.The training and testing loss rates for the LsTm are 0.0029 and 0.0602,respectively,while the weighted average precision,recall,and F1-score for the LsTm are 99.00%.The results of the sVm classifier in terms of accuracy,sensitivity,and specificity reached 91%,93.52%,and 91.3%,*** computational time consumed for the training of the LsTm and sVm is 2000 and 2500 s,*** results show that the LsTm classifier provides better performance than sVm in the classification of EEG ***,the proposed classifiers provide high classification accuracy compared to previously published classifiers.

Increasing the coverage and capacity of cellular networks by deploying additional base stations is one of the fundamental objectives of fifth-generation(5G)***,it leads to performance degradation and huge spectral consumption due to the massive densification of connected devices and simultaneous access *** meet these access conditions and improve Quality of service,resource allocation(RA)should be carefully ***,RA problems are nonconvex optimizations,which are performed using heuristic methods,such as genetic algorithm,particle swarm optimization,and simulated ***,the application of these approaches remains computationally expensive and unattractive for dense cellular ***,artificial intelligence algorithms are used to improve traditional RA *** learning is a promising tool for addressing resource management problems in wireless *** this study,we investigate a double deep Q-network-based RA framework that maximizes energy efficiency(EE)and total network throughput in unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-assisted terrestrial ***,the system is studied under the constraints of ***,the optimization problem is formulated as a mixed integer nonlinear *** this framework,we evaluated the effect of height and the number of UAVs on EE and ***,in accordance with the experimental results,we compare the proposed algorithm with several artificial intelligence *** results indicate that the proposed approach can increase EE with a considerable throughput.

Recently,many researchers have tried to develop a robust,fast,and accurate *** algorithm is for eye-tracking and detecting pupil position in many applications such as head-mounted eye tracking,gaze-based human-computer interaction,medical applications(such as deaf and diabetes patients),and attention *** real-world conditions challenge the eye appearance,such as illumination,reflections,and *** the other hand,individual differences in eye physiology and other sources of noise,such as contact lenses or *** present work introduces a robust pupil detection algorithm with and higher accuracy than the previous attempts for real-time analytics *** proposed circular hough transform with morphing canny edge detection for Pupillometery(CHmCEP)algorithm can detect even the blurred or noisy images by using different filtering methods in the pre-processing or start phase to remove the blur and noise and finally the second filtering process before the circular Hough transform for the center fitting to make sure better *** performance of the proposed CHmCEP algorithm was tested against recent pupil detection *** and results show that the proposed CHmCEP algorithm achieved detection rates of 87.11,78.54,58,and 78 according to´swirski,ExCuse,Else,and labeled pupils in the wild(LPW)data sets,*** results show that the proposed approach performs better than the other pupil detection methods by a large margin by providing exact and robust pupil positions on challenging ordinary eye pictures.

The article presents a miniaturized monopole antenna dedicated to modern flexible electronic *** antenna combines three fundamental properties in a single ***,it is characterized by a compact size compared to the state-of-the-art literature with an overall size of 18×18×0.254 mm3,secondly,the proposed antenna integrates the reconfigurability function of frequency,produced by means of a Positive-IntrinsicNegative(PIN)diode introduced into the radiating ***,the antenna is able to switch between different frequencies and different modes,making it suitable to meet the ever-changing demands of communication ***,the antenna is equipped by the property of *** fact,a conformability test is performed and has demonstrated the stability of the antenna performance under normal and bending ***,in order to demonstrate the potential of the proposed antenna,a comparison between the simulated and measured results is made and turned out to be a strong agreement,making the antenna an excellent candidate for future miniaturized rigid and conformal devices.

Ammonium perchlorate(AP)includes oxidizing and reducing elements on the same *** can act as an efficient oxidizer and mono-propellant as *** this study,AP experienced crystallographic phase change from orthorhombic centrosymmetric to non-centrosymmetric under controlled isothermal heat *** diffractograms confirmed this crystallographic phase *** thermal behaviour of activated AP had been investigated using *** AP demonstrated high chemical stability with an increase in endothermic phase transition enthalpy by 170%.The enthalpy of the subsequent two main exothermic decomposition reactions was increased by 250%.Whereas AP demonstrated total decomposition enthalpy of 733 J/g,activated AP showed 2614 J/*** AP can secure self-sustained response at a high *** index(combustion enthalpy/ignition temperature)was employed to assess self-sustained reaction *** AP demonstrated high propagation index of 8.7 compared with 2.5 for un-activated *** decomposition kinetic parameters had investigated using Kissinger and KAs *** AP showed an increase in activation energy by 89%using the Kissinger method;kinetic parameters using the KAs method were in good agreement with the Kissinger *** can have concluded that AP with novel kinetic decomposition parameters for enhanced safety storage and high combustion characteristics has evolved.

cis-1,3,4,6-Tetranitrooctahydroimidazo-[4,5 d]imidazole(BCHmX)is an advanced energetic compound that expected to spread worldwide in the near ***,no approved remote detection methods were reported in current literature for this material,we performed hyper-spectral imaging and laser induced fluorescence(LIF)to a BCHmX sample under low laser fluence for determining the optimum laser wavelength used in any future BCHmX-LIF based remote detection *** this purpose,an experimental setup consisted of a sun spectrum lamp and hyper-spectral camera was built to illuminate and image white powder samples of BCHmX in comparison with the traditional explosives,HmX(1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetraazacyclooctane),RDX(1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazacyclohexane),PETN(2,2-Bis[(nitroxy)methyl]propane-1,3-diyldinitrate).The imaging reveals strong BCHmX sample absorption contrast among other samples at wavelength ranging from 400 to 410 *** light source was replaced by a 405 nm laser diode illuminator,a strong BCHmX sample LIF at the spectral range from 425 to 700 nm was observed under low laser fluence condition of 0.1 mJ/cm^(2).Finally,we demonstrated successfully the ability of the 405 nm LIF and the hyperspectral imaging technique to detect finger print traces of BCHmX on white cellulose fabric from a distance of 15 m and a detection limit of 1 mg/cm^(2).

An approach to evaluate the efficiency of γ-ray detectors to determine the radioactivity in environmental samples

This work provides an approach to determine the efficiency of T-ray detectors with a good accuracy in order to determine the concentrations of either naturally occurring or artificially prepared radionuclides. This approach is based on the efficiency transfer formula （ET）, the effective solid angles, the self- absorptions of the source matrix, the attenuation by the source container and the detector housing materials on the detector efficiency. The experimental calibration process was done using radioactive （Cylindrical ＆ marinelli） sources, in different dimensions, that contain aqueous 152Eu radionuclide. The comparison point to a fine agreement between the experimental measured and calculated efficiencies for the （NaI ＆ HPGe） detectors using volumetric radioactive sources.
