Application Research of PETD Combined with MRI Nerve Root Water Imaging in the Minimally Invasive Treatment of LDH

Objective: This study aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of PETD combined with nerve root water imaging of MRI for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Methods: A retrospective review was performed on 62 patients with lumbar disc herniation from March 2019 to March 2021. The study included an experimental group of 30 patients and a control group of 32 patients. The experimental group underwent PETD combined with nerve root water imaging of MRI, while the control group received traditional PETD treatment. The visual analogue scoring method (VAS score), and JOA lumbar spine function score before and after surgery were compared between the two groups, and efficacy was assessed and compared using the MacNab score. Results: The mean operation time was significantly reduced in the experimental group (56.43 ±10.40 minutes) compared to the control group (65.69 ±14.12 minutes). The VAS score was compared between the two groups with preoperative (p = 0.624), one month after surgery (p = 0.325), three months after surgery (p = 0.676), one year after surgery (p = 0.341);The JOA score was compared between the two groups with preoperative (p = 0.961), one month after the surgery (p = 0.266), three months after surgery (p = 0.185), one year after surgery (p = 0.870), they were no significant statistical difference;The efficacy evaluation of the last follow-up Macnab showed that all the 30 patients in the experimental group were excellent, 31 of 32 patients in the control group were excellent, 1 case was good;There was no statistical difference in the comparison between the two groups (p > 0.05). Conclusion: The study concludes that the combined approach of PETD with nerve root water imaging of MRI is a safe, effective, and more efficient alternative to conventional PETD for treating lumbar disc herniation.

Synthesis of spherical nano-ZSM-5 zeolite with intergranular mesoporous for alkylation of ethylbenzene with ethanol to produce m-diethylbenzene

Catalytic synthesis of m-diethylbenzene(m-DEB)through alkylation of ethylbenzene(EB)may be a promising alternative route in comparison with traditional rectification of mixed DEB,for which the top priority is to develop efficient and stable heterogeneous catalysts.Here,the spherical nano-ZSM-5 zeolite with abundant intergranular mesoporous is synthesized by the seed-mediated growth method for alkylation of EB with ethanol to produce m-DEB.The results show that the spherical nano-ZSM-5 zeolite exhibits better stability and higher alkylation activity at a lower temperature than those of commercial micropore ZSM-5.And then,the spherical nano-ZSM-5 is further modified by La_(2)O_(3) through acid treatment followed by immersion method.The acid treatment causes nano-ZSM-5 to exhibit the increased pore size but decreased the acid sites,and subsequent La_(2)O_(3) loading reintroduces the weak acid sites.As a result,the HNO_(3)-La_(2)O_(3)-modified catalyst exhibits a slight increase in EB conversion and DEB yield in comparison with unmodified one,and meanwhile,it still maintains high m-DEB selectivity.The catalyst after acid treatment achieves higher catalytic stability besides maintaining the high alkylation activity of EB with ethanol.The present study on the spherical nano-HZSM-5 zeolite and its modification catalyst with excellent alkylation ability provides new insights into the production of mDEB.

Seabed structures and foundations related to deep-sea resource development:A review based on design and research

The deep‐sea ground contains a huge amount of energy and mineral resources,for example,oil,gas,and minerals.Various infrastructures such as floating structures,seabed structures,and foundations have been developed to exploit these resources.The seabed structures and foundations can be mainly classified into three types:subsea production structures,offshore pipelines,and anchors.This study reviewed the development,installation,and operation of these infrastructures,including their structures,design,installation,marine environment loads,and applications.On this basis,the research gaps and further research directions were explored through this literature review.First,different floating structures were briefly analyzed and reviewed to introduce the design requirements of the seabed structures and foundations.Second,the subsea production structures,including subsea manifolds and their foundations,were reviewed and discussed.Third,the basic characteristics and design methods of deep‐sea pipelines,including subsea pipelines and risers,were analyzed and reviewed.Finally,the installation and bearing capacity of deep‐sea subsea anchors and seabed trench influence on the anchor were reviewed.Through the review,it was found that marine environment conditions are the key inputs for any offshore structure design.The fabrication,installation,and operation of infrastructures should carefully consider the marine loads and geological conditions.Different structures have their own mechanical problems.The fatigue and stability of pipelines mainly depend on the soil‐structure interaction.Anchor selection should consider soil types and possible trench formation.These focuses and research gaps can provide a helpful guide on further research,installation,and operation of deep‐sea structures and foundations.

Offshore wind energy,as a form of renewable power,has seen rapid development in recent years.While fixedbottom wind turbines are typically used in water depths less than 50 m,the utilization of floating offshore wind turbines(FOWTs)becomes essential for deeper waters.Secure and effective mooring systems play a crucial role in making FOWTs commercially viable.The concept of a shared mooring system offers an innovative solution for deploying floating wind farms in clusters or arrays,which can reduce overall construction costs for large-scale floating wind farms.It is imperative to optimize the shared mooring arrangement for maximum cost-effectiveness and wind farm stability.However,implementing a shared mooring system introduces complexity to the dynamics of FOWTs,requiring the development of advanced simulation tools to meet modelling requirements.Under the shared mooring arrangement,mooring lines and anchors face more significant challenges,such as chain-seabed interactions,soil cyclic weakening,and anchor out-of-plane loading,which underscore the need for innovative,reliable,and efficient shared anchor designs.This article offers an overview of the current research status on shared mooring systems for floating wind farms,which might serve as a valuable reference for the construction of large-scale floating wind farms worldwide.

Genome-wide and candidate gene association studies identify BnPAP17 as conferring the utilization of organic phosphorus in oilseed rape

Phosphorus(P)is essential for living plants,and P deficiency is one of the key factors limiting the yield in rapeseed production worldwide.As the most important organ for plants,root morphology traits(RMTs)play a key role in P absorption.To investigate the genetic variability of RMT under low P availability,we dissected the genetic structure of RMTs by genome-wide association studies(GWAS),linkage mapping and candidate gene association studies(CGAS).A total of 52 suggestive loci were associated with RMTs under P stress conditions in 405 oilseed rape accessions.The purple acid phosphatase gene BnPAP17 was found to control the lateral root number(LRN)and root dry weight(RDW)under low P stress.The expression of BnPAP17 was increased in shoot tissue in P-efficient cultivars compared to root tissue and P-inefficient cultivars in response to low P stress.Moreover,the haplotype of BnPAP17^(Hap3)was detected for the selective breeding of P efficiency in oilseed rape.Over-expression of the BnPAP17^(Hap3)could promote the shoot and root growth with enhanced tolerance to low P stress and organic phosphorus(Po)utilization in oilseed rape.Collectively,these findings increase our understanding of the mechanisms underlying BnPAP17-mediated low P stress tolerance in oilseed rape.

Exciton behavior is crucial to the exploitation of light-emitting conjugated polymer(LCPs)for optoelectronic devices.Singlet excitons are easily trapped by the intrinsically defect structures.Herein,we set a polyfluorenol(PPFOH)as an example to systematically investigate its photophysical behavior to check the role of defect structures in LCPs.According to time-resolved photoluminescence analysis,the feature emission peaks from individual chain of PPFOH in diluted DMF solution is effectively avoided the influence of fluorenone formation,but the residual green-band emission at 550nm is easily observed in the PL spectra of PPFOH dilute toluene solution obtained delay 1.5 ns,confirmed the formation of“guest”physical aggregation-induced defect structure.Remarkably,efficient and ultrafast energy transfer from individual chain to defect structure is observed in PPFOH films.Interestingly,the efficient energy transfer happened for the film obtained from DMF solution(200 ps)than those of toluene ones(600 ps).Meanwhile,compared to relatively stable green-band emission in PPFOH film from toluene solution,red-shifted emission peak(11 nm)of PPFOH film from DMF solutions exposed to saturated DNT vapor also confirmed their different aggregation-induced green-band emission.Therefore,this aggregation defect structures are influenced on the photophysical property of LCPs in solid states.

Punicalagin prevents obesity-related cardiac dysfunction through promoting DNA demethylation in mice

The aim of this study was to investigate whether punicalagin(PU)could prevent obesity-related cardiac dysfunction by promoting DNA demethy lation,and to explore its possible mechanism.C57BL/6J mice were fed with standard diet,high-fat diet(HFD),HFD supplemented with resveratrol,low-dose PU(LPU)and high-dose PU(HPU)for 8 weeks.Compared with HFD group,body weight was significantly lower in PU treatment groups,number of cardionwocytes and the protein level of myosin heavy chain 7B were significantly higher in PU treatment groups.Levels of 5-hydroxymethylcytosine and 5-formylcytosine were significantly lower in HFD group than in other groups.Compared with the HFD group,the protein level of ten-eleven translocation enzyme(TET)2 was significantly higher in PU treatment groups,p-AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK)was significantly higher in LPU group.Levels of total antioxidant capacity and the protein levels of complexesⅡ/Ⅲ/Ⅴ,oxoglutarate dehydrogenase,succinate dehydrogenase B and fumarate hdrolase were significantly lower in HFD group than PU treatment group.The ratio of(succinic acid+fumaric acid)/a-ketoglutarate was significantly higher in HFD group than other groups.In conclusion,PU up-regulated TETs enzyme activities and TET2 protein stability through alleviating mitochondrial dysfunction and activating AMPK,so as to promote DNA demethylation,thus preventing obesity-related cardiac dysfunction.

Near-Infrared All-Fused-Ring Nonfullerene Acceptors Achieving an Optimal Efficiency-Cost-Stability Balance in Organic Solar Cells

Synergistically achieving stability,cost,and efficiency is crucial for the commercialization of organic solar cells(OSCs).Despite the rapid development of 2-(3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-ylidene)malo nonitriletypenon fullerene acceptors(NFAs),they areinherently unstable due to the vulnerable exocyclic double bond and possess high synthesis complexity(SC).Based on the“all-fused-ring electron acceptor(AFAR)”concept,we report two new near-infrared NFAs,F11 and F13,featuring all fused dodecacyclic rings.By developing a whole set of synthetic procedures,F11 and F13 can be conveniently prepared at a 10 g scale within a notably short period,displaying both the low SC and the lowest costs among reported NFAs,even comparable to the classical photovoltaic material,P3HT.In comparison with the one-dimensional stacking of ITYM(ITYM=2,2′-(7,7,15,15-tetrahexyl-7,15-dihydro-s-indaceno[1,2-b:5,6-b′]diindeno[1,2-d]thiophene-2,10(2H)-diylidene)dimalononitrile),the first AFRA,and mixed J-and H-aggregations in Y6,F-acceptors show a compact honeycomb-type three-dimensional stacking with exclusive J-aggregations,favoring multichannel charge transport.By matching a medium-bandgap polymer donor,F13 delivers greater than 13%power conversion efficiencies,which is the highest performance among non-INCN acceptors,and shows device stability superior to the typical ITIC-and Y6-based OSCs as evidenced by the negligible burn-in losses.This work presents a first and successful example of NFAs achieving an optimal efficiency-cost-stability balance in OSCs.

Organic photovoltaics(OPVs)have attracted much attention because of the advantages in low-cost and large-area fabrication and the great potentials in achieving flexible and semi-transparent devices(1)However,compared with inorganic and perovskite solar cells[2],OPVs show relatively low photoelectric conversion efficiencies,which is admittedly attributed to intrinsically low dielectric constants of organic materials[3]resulting in large energy losses(Eloss=EgqVoc,where Eg is the optical bandgap of the photoactive layer,Voc is the open-circuit voltage of photovoltaic devices and q is elementary charge).

在含高比例可再生能源的电力系统中,考虑多重不确定性因素并实现源荷协调的优化调度是电力系统运行的重要问题.为此,构建了基于多场景的概率性旋转备用优化模型,该模型综合考虑了风电和光伏出力预测误差、负荷预测误差及发电机非计划停运等多重不确定性因素对旋转备用容量的影响,将可再生能源弃电、系统切负荷分别作为特殊的备用资源融入发电日前调度计划,以提高电力系统的经济运行效率.改进了系统可再生能源削减期望和电量不足期望值两个可靠性指标的计算方法,减少了与该指标相关的不等式约束条件,用于提升模型的计算性能.该备用优化模型在兼顾场景多样性的同时,实现了多场景下系统的总成本最优.以改进的IEEE-RTS系统作为算例,验证了所提模型的有效性.算例结果表明,改进的可靠性指标计算方法能够有效降低备用优化模型的求解时间;建立的最优旋转备用优化方法能够实现系统日前旋转备用容量的动态配置,提升系统经济运行水平.
