生物炭对重金属离子有良好滞留作用,被广泛用作吸附剂来去除地表径流及地下水中的重金属。选用粒径为0.80 mm的木炭和竹炭,通过柱淋溶试验探究V^(5+)和V^(4+)在两种生物炭柱中的淋溶特性,并分别研究钒价态、初始钒浓度、溶液pH以及有机酸种类和浓度等因素对钒迁移的影响。结果表明,木炭和竹炭颗粒对V^(5+)吸附较弱,而对V^(4+)吸附较强。当淋溶液体积为3 PV(PV为孔隙体积,60 mL)时,不同初始浓度V^(5+)出流比(出流液与注入液浓度的比值)在两种生物炭柱中均达到0.90以上,表明V^(5+)迁移性强,初始浓度对生物炭吸附V^(5+)影响不显著。当淋溶液体积为8 PV时,初始质量浓度为5 mg·L^(-1)的V^(4+)溶液出流比约为0.90,而40 mg·L^(-1)的V^(4+)溶液出流比降低到0.63以下,表明随着初始V^(4+)浓度增大,生物炭对V^(4+)的吸附量显著增加。随着淋溶液pH升高,两种生物炭对V^(5+)和V^(4+)的吸附量降低,进而V^(5+)和V^(4+)溶液出流比增大,pH为5.5时V^(5+)和V^(4+)溶液出流比在木炭柱中分别为0.88和0.58,在竹炭柱中分别为0.83和0.53。当淋溶液中加入不同浓度草酸和柠檬酸时,高浓度有机酸能促进V^(5+)淋溶,低浓度则会抑制淋溶。与草酸相比,柠檬酸对V^(5+)在两种生物炭柱中淋溶的抑制效果更明显。傅里叶红外光谱(FTIR)分析结果显示,生物炭表面主要为酸性含氧官能团,如羧基、羰基和羟基等,易与V^(5+)和V^(4+)络合沉淀。当溶液pH降低,生物炭表面酸性含氧官能团数量增加,从而显著促进生物炭对V^(5+)和V^(4+)的吸附固定作用。

以波尼、马汉、卡多、赛普洛斯、贝壳等薄壳山核桃品种为试验对象,定期对核桃果实的纵径、横径的生长量进行观测,通过果实解剖掌握果实的发育阶段,最后分别应用Logistic模型、二次多项式、三次多项式对果实的两径数据进行拟合。结果表明:各品种果实的两径生长均呈现出典型的“S”形曲线,且纵径的累计生长量始终大于横径;三次多项式对果实的两径拟合效果均优于Logistic模型和二次多项式,其中三次多项式的拟合系数均超过0.991,且与实测数据的相关性均达到极显著水平,表明三次多项式能够更好地拟合薄壳山核桃果实的发育过程。拟合方程可确定不同品种果实发育的各个时间节点,结合果实解剖结果,可揭示各品种果实的发育进程。

Phosphocholine （PC） is the immunodominant epitope found on the surface of a number of microorganisms, including Streptococcus pneumoniae （SPn）, and is thought to play a vital role in the pathogenesis of SPn. B cells expressing M 167Hκ24L immunoglobulin receptors specific for PC have been shown to be autoreactive in that they undergo clonal deletion in both X-linked immune-deficient and Rag-/- mice. We have now shown that B cells expressing M603HK8L PC-specific receptors also delete in Rag-/- mice, whereas those expressing T15HK22L transgenes do not delete. However, T15HK22L B cells are lost in normal heterozygous transgenic mice because they cannot compete with normal B cells. These data indicate that M167Hκ24L and M603H^8L PC-specific B cells are recognizing an autoantigen expressed on membranes which causes them to downregulate their receptors and clonally delete, while T15Hκ22L B cells are tolerized by a soluble form of PC-antigen which results in their being trapped in the spleen. Thus, the types of tolerance seen in autoreactive PC-specific B cells are dependent on the idiotype of the receptors expressed.

Mucosal-associated invariant T(MAIT)cells are unconventional T cells that have been conserved throughout mammalian evolution,displaying innate and effector-like qualities[1,2].MAIT cells express a semi-invariant T-cell receptor,which recognizes vitamin B metabolites produced by various bacteria and yeast organisms,presented on the restriction molecule major histocompatibility complex(MHC)-related protein-1(MR1)[3].In mice,MAIT cells undergo three developmental stages in the thymus,giving rise to two subsets,MAIT1 and MAIT17,which secrete IFN-and IL-17 to combat infections[4,5].

Water-soluble lignin-carbohydrate complex(LCC)rich in polysaccharides exhibits benign in vitro antioxidant activities and distinguishes high biocompatibility from lignin-rich LCC and ***,the antioxidant activity of water-soluble LCCs remains to be improved and its structure-antioxidant relationship is still ***,structurally diversified water-soluble LCCs were isolated under different ball-milling pretreatment durations(4,6,8 h),extraction pathways(ho-mogeneous and heterogeneous),and isolation routines(water extracts and residues after water extraction).Their structures were characterized by wet chemistry,chromatography and *** activities were evaluated by ferric reducing antioxidant power and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radicals scavenging rate(RDPPH).Results show that altering ball-milling duration and isolation procedures cause varied structures and antioxidant activities of the water-soluble ***,prolonging ball-milling duration to 8 hours and homogeneous extrac-tion can enhance their antioxidant activity through releasing more phenolic structures and pro-moting the extraction of high-molecular-weight LCCs via reducing mass-transfer resistance,*** a result,the RDPPH of water-soluble LCCs reaches up to 97.35%,which is associated with the arabinan content with statistical significance(P<0.05).This study provides new insights into the structure-antioxidation relationship of herbaceous LCC as potential antioxidants.

Mucosal-associated invariant T(MAIT)cells are an evolutionarily conserved subset of T cells that respond to microbial threats via semi-invariant T cell receptor(TCR)-mediated recognition of microbial riboflavin-derivative antigens presented by MHC class I-related(MR1)molecules[1].MAIT cells mediate functions that link innate and acquired immunity in a broad spectrum of diseases,including infection,cancer,allergy,and autoimmunity[2].MAIT cells are abundant in human nonmucosal tissues,where they account for up to 10%of blood T cells and 45%of liver T cells,but are much less abundant in mice[3].

Corneal stroma-derived mesenchymal stem cells(CS-MSCs) are mainly distributed in the anterior part of the corneal stroma near the corneal limbal stem cells(LSCs). CS-MSCs are stem cells with self-renewal and multidirectional differentiation potential. A large amount of data confirmed that CS-MSCs can be induced to differentiate into functional keratocytes in vitro, which is the motive force for maintaining corneal transparency and producing a normal corneal stroma. CS-MSCs are also an important component of the limbal microenvironment. Furthermore, they are of great significance in the reconstruction of ocular surface tissue and tissue engineering for active biocornea construction. In this paper, the localization and biological characteristics of CS-MSCs, the use of CS-MSCs to reconstruct a tissue-engineered active biocornea, and the repair of the limbal and matrix microenvironment by CS-MSCs are reviewed, and their application prospects are discussed.

AIM: To compare the quality outcomes of vision at early phase after topography-guided femtosecond laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis(FS-LASIK-CV) and small incision lenticule extraction(SmiLE) in treatment of myopia and myopic ***: Retrospective comparative analysis of 49 patients that underwent FS-LASIK(n=23) or SmiLE(n=26) procedure for myopia and myopic astigmatism between April and September in 2019. Pre-and postoperative uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA), spherical equivalent refraction(SEQ), cylindrical refraction, contrast sensitivity function(CSF), and corneal higher-order aberrations(HOAs) were evaluated. Independent t-test was used for inter-group comparison, while repeated measures ANOVA was used to analyze changes at different time points. RESULTS: In both groups, 100% of the eyes obtained a UCVA of 20/20 or better at 1 wk, 1, and 3 mo postoperatively. At 1 d and 3 mo postoperatively, UCVA was better in FS-LASIKCV group than in SmiLE group. At 1 wk postoperatively, SEQ was lower in SmiLE group than in FS-LASIK-CV group(P=0.006). At 3 mo postoperatively, the SEQ reached target refraction in both groups. The residual astigmatism was reduced in both groups without intergroup difference(P>0.05). Elemental calcium plays an important role in human physiology. In order to study the relationship between Ca-intake, Ca-chemical formulation, and Ca-absorptivity, a balance experiment using a ^(41)Ca tracer technique in SD rats was conducted to measure the endogenous fecal calcium and true absorption of calcium. Apparent absorption of calcium was measured as a control to the endogenous calcium labeling experiment. These results show that by using ^(41)Ca labeled endogenous calcium in vivo, researchers could obtain the true calcium absorption data without extrinsic labeling. Therefore, the method was not affected by the chemical structure or type of calcium supplement and might be used in evaluating the absorptivity of marketed calcium supplements.
