The steep reduction in costs and systematic optimization of renewable electricity has ignited an intensifying interest in harnessing electroreduction of carbon dioxide(CO_(2)RR)for the generation of chemicals and *** focus of research over the past few decades has been on the optimization of the electrode and the electrolyte ***,cation species in the latter have recently been found to dramatically alter the selectivity of CO_(2)RR and even their catalytic activity by multiple orders of *** a result,the selection of cations is a critical factor in designing catalytic interfaces with high selectivity and efficiency for targeted *** decision-making regarding cation selection relies on a comprehensive understanding of prevailing electrolyte effect models that have been used to elucidate observed experimental *** this perspective,we review the hypotheses that explain how electrolyte cations influence CO_(2)RR by mechanisms such as through tuning of the interfacial electric field,buffering of the local pH,stabilization of the key intermediates and regulation of the interfacial *** endeavor is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underpinning cation effects,thus fostering the evolution of more holistic and universally applicable predictive *** this regard,we highlight the current challenges in this area of research,while also identifying potential avenues for future investigations.

By using the numerical renormalization group(NRG)method,we construct a large dataset with about one million spectral functions of the Anderson quantum impurity *** dataset contains the density of states(DOS)of the host material,the strength of Coulomb interaction between on-site electrons(U),and the hybridization between the host material and the impurity site(Γ).The continued DOS and spectral functions are stored with Chebyshev coefficients and wavelet functions,*** this dataset,we build seven different machine learning networks to predict the spectral function from the input data,DOS,U,andΓ.Three different evaluation indexes,mean absolute error(MAE),relative error(RE)and root mean square error(RMSE),are used to analyze the prediction abilities of different network *** analysis shows that,for the two kinds of widely used recurrent neural networks(RNNs),gate recurrent unit(GRU)has better performance than the long short term memory(LSTM)network.A combination of bidirectional GRU(BiGRU)and GRU has the best performance among GRU,BiGRU,LSTM,and *** MAE peak of BiGRU+GRU reaches *** have also tested a one-dimensional convolutional neural network(1DCNN)with 20 hidden layers and a residual neural network(ResNet),we find that the 1DCNN has almost the same performance of the BiGRU+GRU network for the original dataset,while the robustness testing seems to be a little weak than BiGRU+GRU when we test all these models on two other independent *** ResNet has the worst performance among all the seven network *** datasets presented in this paper,including the large data set of the spectral function of Anderson quantum impurity model,are openly available at https://***/10.57760/sciencedb.j00113.00192.

Chronic pancreatitis (CP) is a multifaceted disorder influenced by environmental and genetic factors, with smoking and alcohol consumption being major contributors. Recent developments encompass the advent of innovative transgenic models and the identification of susceptibility genes, shedding light on the genetic aspect of CP. The pathogenesis of this disease involves a complex interplay of pancreatic acinar cell dysfunction, inflammatory reactions, and fibrosis. Current research delves into understanding these molecular mechanisms. Pain, a pivotal symptom of CP, has been increasingly studied to develop effective therapeutic interventions. Diagnostic advancements, including endoscopic ultrasound, radiomics, and blood-based markers, have shown potential in enhancing early CP detection. Moreover, recent clinical trials have optimized treatment approaches, such as pancreatic stone fragmentation, stent placement, and decision-making between endoscopic and surgical procedures. Emerging therapies, including chemical pancreatectomy and gene therapy, present promising opportunities for improved CP management.

This study presents novel findings on the potential of phloretin， an apple polyphenol， to enhance the effectiveness of anti-HER2 antibody therapy in HER2-positive breast cancer patients. Our research reveals that phloretin inhibits type II glucose transporter (GLUT2) activity， significantly reducing cancer cell glucose uptake. We confirmed the overexpression of GLUT1 and GLUT2 mRNA in paired human breast tumor tissues， with GLUT2 overexpression associated explicitly with poorer survival rates in breast cancer patients. Treatment with phloretin was observed to increase the interaction between GLUT2 and HER2 proteins， attenuate glycolysis， and enhance the binding affinity of anti-HER2 antibody drugs to target human breast cancer cells. Furthermore， the efficacy of the combination therapy involving phloretin and antibody drugs was reaffirmed in a cell-derived xenograft (CDX) tumor animal model， particularly in suppressing the growth of Trastuzumab-resistant HER2+ breast cancer. These significant findings suggest that targeting GLUT2 activity with phloretin in combination with anti-HER2 antibody drugs may help mitigate the development of drug-resistant breast cancer， offering valuable insights for enhancing tumor treatment strategies and contributing to developing more effective therapies.
