Response of snow hydrological processes to a changing climate during 1961 to 2016 in the headwater of Irtysh River Basin, Chinese Altai Mountains

With changing climatic conditions and snow cover regime, regional hydrological cycle for a snowy basin will change and further available surface water resources will be redistributed. Assessing snow meltwater effect on runoff is the key to water safety, under climate warming and fast social-economic developing status. In this study, stable isotopic technology was utilized to analyze the snow meltwater effect on regional hydrological processes, and to declare the response of snow hydrology to climate change and snow cover regime, together with longterm meteorological and hydrological observations, in the headwater of Irtysh River, Chinese Altai Mountains during 1961-2015. The average δ^(18) O values of rainfall, snowfall, meltwater, groundwater and river water for 2014–2015 hydrological year were-10.9‰,-22.3‰,-21.7‰,-15.7‰ and-16.0‰, *** results from stable isotopes, snow melting observation and remote sensing indicated that the meltwater effect on hydrological processes in Kayiertesi River Basin mainly occurred during snowmelt supplying period from April to June. The contribution of meltwater to runoff reached 58.1% during this period, but rainfall, meltwater and groundwater supplied 49.1%, 36.9% and 14.0% of water resource to annual runoff, respectively. With rising air temperature and increasing snowfall in cold season, the snow water equivalent(SWE) had an increasing trend but the snow cover duration declined by about one month including 13-day delay of the first day and 17-day advancement of the end day during 1961–2016. Increase in SWE provided more available water resource. However, variations in snow cover timing had resulted in redistribution of surface water resource, represented by an increase of discharge percentage in April and May, and a decline in Juneand July. This trend of snow hydrology will render a deficit of water resource in June and July when the water resource demand is high for agricultural irrigation and industrial manufacture.

EVAPOTRANSPIRATION OF LOW-LYING PRAIRIE WETLAND IN MIDDLE REACHES OF HEIHE RIVER IN NORTHWEST CHINA

Low-lying prairie wetland, which has characteristics of both grassland and wetland, has irreplaceable ecological functions in inland river basins of Northwest China. Owing to its small-scale distribution, so far, the observation and research on it are rare. The estimation of evapotranspiration is significant to ecological and environmental construction, scientific management of pasture and protection of wetland. For studying the evapotranspiration （ET） of low-lying prairie wetland in the middle reaches of the Heihe River, an inland river, in Northwest China, the automatic weather station in Linze Ecological Experimental Station of Lanzhou University （39°15′ 3″N, 100°03′ 52″ E）, Linze, Gansu Province, was selected as a case study. Based on meteorological data collected, Bowen-Ratio Energy Balance （BREB） method was used to calculate the evapotranspiration （ET） of low-lying prairie wetland. The analysis results showed that in a whole year （September 2003 -August 2004）, the total ET was 611.5mm and mean daily 1.67mm/d. The ET varied with different growing stages. In non-growing stage （NGS）, initial growing stage （IGS）, middle growing stage （MGS） and end growing stage （EGS）, the ET was 0.57, 2.01, 3.82 and 1.49mrrdd, with a percentage of total ET of 18.26%, 9.20%, 61.83% and 10.71% respectively. In March, ET began to increase. But in April, the ET increased most. After that, it increased gradually and got the maximal value in July. From then on, the ET decreased gradually. In September, the ET decreased rapidly. With the ending of growing and the freezing of soil, the ET stopped from the middle of November to February in next year. Hourly ET analysis showed that at 8：00 a.m. （during MGS at 7：00 a.m.）, the evapotranspiration began, at 13：00 p.m. got its maximal value and at 19：00 p.m. （during MGS at 20：00 p.m.）, the evapotranspiration stopped. The intensity of ET in sunny day was much larger than that in cloudy day in the same growing stage.

Snowfall in the Tianshan Mountains in China is frequent during winter;thus,avalanches have become a severe issue in snow-covered *** and metamorphosis,as well as hydrothermal exchanges with the environment,considerably affect the stability of snow on ***,a hydrothermal model of snow cover and its underlying surfaces must be developed on the basis of meteorological data to predict and help manage *** study adopted the conceptual model of snow as a porous medium and quantitatively analysed its internal physical processes on the basis of the thermal exchanges amongst its *** effects of local meteorological factors on snow structure and the redistribution of energy and mass inside the snow cover in the Tianshan Mountains were *** results showed that deformation as a result of overlying snow and sublimation of snow cover at the bottom is the main cause of density variation in the vertical profile of snow *** drives water movement in *** low-density area of the bottom snow is the result of temperature *** simulation results of the long-term snow internal mass distribution obtained by the method established in this study are highly consistent with the actual observed trend of *** consistency indicates an accurate simulation of the physical characteristics of snow cover in small and microscale metamorphism in the Tianshan Mountains during the stable period.

Effect of distribution of fines on evolution of cooperation in spatial public goods game

In the realm of public goods game,punishment,as a potent tool,stands out for fostering *** it effectively addresses the first-order free-rider problem,the associated costs can be *** incur expenses in imposing sanctions,while defectors face ***,these monetary elements seemingly vanish into thin air,representing a loss to the system ***,by virtue of the redistribution of fines to cooperators and punishers,not only can we mitigate this loss,but the rewards for these cooperative individuals can be *** upon this premise,this paper introduces a fine distribution mechanism to the traditional pool punishment *** identical parameter settings,by conducting a comparative experiment with the conventional punishment model,the paper aims to investigate the impact of fine distribution on the evolution of cooperation in spatial public goods *** experimental results clearly demonstrate that,in instances where the punishment cost is prohibitively high,the cooperative strategies of the traditional pool punishment model may completely ***,the model enriched with fine distribution manages to sustain a considerable number of cooperative strategies,thus highlighting its effectiveness in promoting and preserving cooperation,even in the face of substantial punishment cost.

Aggregation-regulated bioreduction process of graphene oxide by Shewanella bacteria

The bioreduction of graphene oxide(GO)using environmentally functional bacteria such as Shewanella represents a green approach to produce reduced graphene oxide(rGO).This process differs from the chemical reduction that involves instantaneous molecular *** bioreduction,the contact of bacterial cells and GO is considered the rate-limiting *** reveal how the bacteria-GO integration regulates rGO production,the comparative experiments of GO and three Shewanella strains were carried ***-transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,Raman spectroscopy,and atomic force microscopy were used to characterize the reduction degree and the aggregation *** results showed that a spontaneous aggregation of GO and Shewanella into the condensed entity occurred within 36 h.A positive linear correlation was established,linking three indexes of the aggregation potential,the bacterial reduction ability,and the reduction degree(ID/IG)comprehensively.

Low temperature doping of anatase nano TiO2

In this paper. Glucose, nitrate, and urea were respectively used as C, B, and N sources doped TiO2 at low temperature sol gel method, The obtained nano TiO2 was characterized by DRS, FIRT, TG-DTG. The photocatalytic properties and the optical response range of the natase nanocrystalline were analyzed and studied with the hybrid orbital theory. The results show that the band gap of the doped TiO2 was narrow, and the photocatalytic ability could be excited by the visible lighL and the doping of non metallic elements broadens the application range of TiO2, so that it could be excited under the visible light and obtained better use value.

Interplay between geometric and electronic structures of Pt entities over TiO_(2) for CO oxidation

Monodispersed Pt colloids with a mean size of 2 nm were deposited uniformly on the {110} facets of a rod-shaped rutile TiO_(2),forming a well-defined Pt/TiO_(2) *** treatment of this precursor at elevated temperatures re-dispersed the Pt particles into clusters and ***-calcination at 673 K partially oxidized the Pt particle surface,while calcination at 773 K yielded Pt Oxclusters of 1.6 nm in 7–8 atomic *** calcination at 873 K formed a mixture of raft-like PtO_(x) clusters(1.6 nm,1–2 atomic layers) and cationic *** tested for CO oxidation at 373 K,the Pt particles showed a higher activity than the Pt Oxclusters,whereas the cationic single-atoms were much less *** H_(2)-reduction at 473 K converted the partially oxidized Pt particles into the metallic species,but they were encapsulated by TiO_(2)–xoverlayers because of the strong metal–support interactions,which decreased the activity dramatically.H_(2)-reduction of the PtO_(x) clusters at473 K enhanced the fraction of metallic Pt species without changing the size and geometry,and promoted the activity substantially.H_(2)-treatment of Pt single-atoms at 473 K increased the activity only moderately because most Pt species still kept at cationic *** results straightforwardly differentiated the catalytic behavior of Pt particles,clusters and single-atoms at the same metal loading and over the same TiO_(2) support,and further demonstrated that the electronic structures of Pt entities played a decisive role in the catalytic oxidation,in addition to the specified sizes.

Structural engineering of hard carbon through spark plasma sintering for enhanced sodium-ion storage

Hard carbon （HC） has emerged as one of the superior anode materials for sodium-ion batteries （SIBs）,with its electrochemical performance significantly influenced by the presence of oxygen functional groups and its closed pore ***,current research on the structural adjustment of these oxygen functional groups and the closed pore architecture within HC remains ***,energy-efficient and contamination-free spark plasma sintering technology was employed to tune the structure of coconut-shell HC,resulting in significant adjustments to the content of carboxyl （decreasing from 5.71 at%to 2.12 at%） and hydroxyl groups （decreasing from 7.73 at % to 6.26 at%）.Crucially,these modifications reduced the irreversible reaction of oxygen functional groups with Na+.Simultaneously,a substantial number of closed pores with an average diameter of 1.22 nm were generated within the HC,offering an ideal environment for efficient Na+*** structural changes resulted in a remarkable improvement in the electrochemical performance of the modified *** reversible specific capacity of the modified HC surged from 73.89 mAh·g-1to an impressive 251.97 m Ah·g-1at a current density of 50 mA·*** at 400 mA·g-1,the reversible specific capacity increased significantly from 14.55 to 85.44 mAh·***,this study provides a novel perspective for designing tailored HC materials with the potential to develop high-performance SIBs.

A universal multifunctional dual cation doping strategy towards stabilized ultra-high nickel cobalt-free lithium layered oxide cathode

Ultra-high nickel cobalt-free lithium layered oxides are promising cathode material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)because of their relatively high capacity and low ***,the high nickel content would induce bulk structure degradation and interfacial environment deterioration,and the absence of Co element reduces the lithium diffusion kinetics,severely limiting the performance liberation of this kind of ***,a multifunctional Ti/Zr dual cation co-doping strategy has been employed to improve the lithium storage performance of LiNi_(0.9)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NM91)*** the one hand,the Ti/Zr co-doping weakens the Li^(+)/Ni^(2+)mixing through magnetic interactions due to the inexistence of unpaired electrons for Ti^(4+)and Zr^(4+),increasing the lithium diffusion rate and suppressing the harmful coexistence of H1 and H2 *** the other hand,they enhance the lattice oxygen stability because of the strong Ti-O and Zr-O bonds,inhibiting the undesired H3 phase transition and lattice oxygen loss,improving the bulk structure and cathode-electrolyte interface *** a result,the Ti/Zr co-doped NM91(NMTZ)exhibits a 91.2%capacity retention rate after 100 cycles,while that of NM91 is only82.9%.Also,the NMTZ displays better rate performance than NM91 with output capacities of 115 and93 mA h g^(-1)at a high current density of 5 C,***,the designed NMTZ could enable the full battery to deliver an energy density up to 263 W h kg^(-1),making the ultra-high nickel cobaltfree lithium layered oxide cathode closer to practical applications.
