Objective:To evaluate the effect of sodium fluoride(NaF) on cytochemical distribution of proteins,DNA,and RNA in the gastrocnemius muscle of rat in experimental ***: Young Sprague Dawley albino rats were administered with NaF at 30,45,and 75 mg/k. bw/ day subcutaneously for 15 and 30 days,*** control animals were given the vehicle(1cc deionized double distilled water/k. bw/day).Results:In the first phase of 15 days experimentation,the gastrocnemius muscle of rats intoxicated with NaF at 30,45,and 75 mg /k. bw/ day showed decline in proteins including a amino acids as compared to control. In the second phase of 30 days experimentation,the muscle fibers of rat showed elevation in sarcolemmal and sarcoplasmic proteins in 30 mg NaF dose group,and angulated fibers exhibited increase in sarcolemmal proteins in 45 mg NaF *** marginal regions of angular and rim fibers showed deeply stained rings of sarcoplasmic proteins whereas the split fibers were faindy stained in rats treated with NaF at 75 mg/k. bw/day for 30 *** rats treated with NaF at 30 mg/k. bw/day for 15 days,the hypertrophied peripheral muscle fibers contained more DNA,however the atrophied fibers had more *** 45 mg NaF group,RNA was located in sarcolemmal regions,while DNA content decreased as compared to *** 75 mg NaF group,the muscle fibers had dark.and light staining regions of DNA and *** the 30 days of experimentation,the DNA level decreased whereas RNA content increased in the gastrocnemius muscle fibers of the rat treated with NaF at 30 mg/k. bw/*** treatment group with NaF at 45 mg/k. bw/day,the RNA content slighdy declined in comparison to control,in all treatments for 15 days as well as in treatment group with NaF at 30 mg/k. bw/day for 30 days whereas the amount of DNA slightly increased as compared to treatment group with NaF at 75 mg/k. bw/day for 15 *** highest dose group revealed elevated amount of RNA whereas DNA content remained stable.C

AIM: To investigate plasma microRNA (miRNA) profiles indicative of hepatotoxicity in the setting of lethal acetaminophen (APAP) toxicity in mice. METHODS: Using plasma from APAP poisoned mice, either lethally (500 mg/k.) or sublethally (150 mg/k.) dosed, we screened commercially available murine microRNA libraries (SABiosciences, Qiagen Sciences, MD) to evaluate for unique miRNA profiles between these two dosing parameters. RESULTS: We distinguished numerous, unique plasma miRNAs both up- and downregulated in lethally compared to sublethally dosed mice. Of note, many of the greatest up- and downregulated miRNAs, namely 574-5p, 466g, 466f-3p, 375, 29c, and 148a, have been shown to be associated with asthma in prior studies. Interestingly, a relationship between APAP and asthma has been previously well described in the literature, with an as yet unk.own mechanism of pathology. There was a statistically significant increase in alanine aminotransferase levels in the lethal compared to sublethal APAP dosing groups at the 12 h time point (P < 0.001). There was 90% mortality in the lethally compared to sublethally dosed mice at the 48 h time point (P = 0.011). CONCLUSION: We identified unique plasma miRNAs both up- and downregulated in APAP poisoning which are correlated to asthma development.

In this article,we use the robust optimization approach(also called the worst-case approach)for findingε-efficient solutions of the robust multiobjective optimization problem defined as a robust(worst-case)counterpart for the considered nonsmooth multiobjective programming problem with the uncertainty in both the objective and constraint ***,we establish both necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for a feasible solution to be anε-efficient solution(an approximate efficient solution)of the considered robust multiobjective optimization *** also use a scalarizing method in proving these optimality conditions.

A double-gate tunnel field-effect transistor （DG tunnel FET） has been designed and investigated for various channel materials such as silicon （Si）, gallium arsenide （GaAs）, alminium gallium arsenide （A1xGa1-xAs） and CNT using a nano ViDES Device and TCAD SILVACO ATLAS simulator. The proposed devices are com- pared on the basis of inverse subthreshold slope （SS）, ION/IoFF current ratio and leak.ge current. Using Si as the channel material limits the property to reduce leak.ge current with scaling of channel, whereas the A1xGa1-xAs based DG tunnel FET provides a better ION/IOFF current ratio （2.51 × 10^6） as compared to other devices k.eping the leak.ge current within permissible limits. The performed silmulation of the CNT based channel in the double-gate tunnel field-effect transistor using the nano ViDES shows better performace for a sub-threshold slope of 29.4 mV/dec as the channel is scaled down. The proposed work.shows the potential of the CNT channel based DG tunnel FET as a futuristic device for better switching and high retention time, which mak.s it suitable for memory based circuits.

Objective:To monitor the pathological alterations in pancreas of rat during experimental fluorosis. Methods:Sixty Sprague Dawley albino rats of both sexes were divided into 12 experimental groups and one control *** rats of control group were administered subcutaneously double distilled water 1 mL/k. bw *** experimental groups were injected with 30,45,and 75 mg NaF/k. bw/*** experimental period was divided into 4 phases at interval of 15,22,30,and 36 *** were sacrificed from each group at the end of 16,23,31,and 37 ***: The following changes were observed in this study:(1) Pathological examination of pancreas after 15 days of fluoride treatment revealed:hypertrophy of acini,leucocytes infilteration and pycnouc nuclei due to necrosis of acini in group 1;uremic alterations,invulsion and infoldings of reticular layer of islets of Langerhans in group 2;and a decrease in number of acini and interlobular connective tissues resulted in an increase in intercellular spaces in pancreas of rats in group 3.(2)Hyalinization and hypertrophy in the lobules of acini and hyperplasia and hypertrophy in intercalated duct with mucinous secretion in pancreas of rat of group 4;squamous metaplasia of pancreatic duct,adenoma of pancreas,hemorrhagic necrosis in group 5;and hyperplasia of acini and reduction in number of pancreatic islets in group 6.(3) Disorganization and atrophy of pancreatic lobules and presence of vacuoles in a group of six were visible in pancreas of rats in group 7;acute pancreatic and lamellated inflammatory cells in test rats of group 8;and islet adenoma and decrease in number of islets cells,and exudation in acini were noticed in experimental rats of group 9.(4) In the last phase of experimentation,atrophic alterations in pancreatic acini,invulsions,and necrosis was prominent in group 10,deep inflammation and proliferation of connective tissue of pancreas in experimental group 11,and periodical fibrosis, hyperplasia of acini,degener

Phenylboronic acids can exist, in principle, in three different conformers （syn, syn; syn, anti and anti, anti） with distinct energy profiles. In their native state, these compounds prefer the energetically favored syn, anti-conformation. In molecular complexes, however, the functionality exhibits conformational diversity. In this paper we report a series of co-crystals, with N-donor compounds, prepared by a design strategy involving the synthons based on the syn, syn-conformation of the boronic acid functionality. For this purpose, we employed compounds with the 1,2-diazo fragment （alprazolam, 1H-tetrazole, acetazolamide and benzotriazole）, 1,10-phenanthroline and 2,2＇-bipyridine for the co-crystallization experiments. However, our study shows that the mere presence of the 1,2-diazo fragment in the coformer does not guarantee the successful formation of co-crystals with a syn, syn-conformation of the boronic acid.

Peristaltic micro-pumps offer an excellent mechanism for delivery of a variety of medicines including drugs, corneal solutions etc. The surge in deployment of nanoparticles in medicine has provided new potential for such pumps. In light of this we investigate the time-dependent peristaltic flow of nanofluids with diffusive effects through a finite non-uniform channel, this geometry being more representative of real micro-pumps. Creeping flow is tak.n into account(inertial forces are small compared with viscous forces) i.e., Reynolds number is low(Rek.n to be very large. The Buongiorno formulation for nanofluids is employed with an Oberbeck.Boussinesq approximation. Closed-form solutions are developed for the non-dimensional governing equations subject to physically realistic boundary conditions. Mathematica symbolic software is employed to evaluate the evolution of nanoparticle fraction, temperature, axial velocity, transverse velocity and pressure difference distribution along the length of the pump channel with variation in thermal Grashof number, basic-density(species i.e., mass) Grashof number, Brownian motion parameter and thermophoresis parameter.
