We present multiphysics design studies for thermal management of a 325 MHz 3 Mev Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) structure for the front end of 1 Gev proton linac for proposed Indian Spallation Neutron Source (ISNS). Physics design of RFQ for ISNS application has been carried out for 10% (maximum) duty factor. During high power operation of RFQ, RF-induced heating would result in temperature rise, thermal deformations and frequency shift of RFQ from designed values. Therefore thermal management is one of the important design considerations for RFQ development. During design studies, electromagnetic analysis of RFQ cavity is performed to compute RF induced heat fluxes on RFQ surfaces using SUPERFISH and ANSYS software. Simulated results for both codes were compared and found in well agreement. A water cooling scheme has been designed to absorb RF induced heat from RFQ structure. Cooling parameters are optimized by employing univariate search method optimization technique. An RF-Thermal-Structural-RF coupled multi-physics analysis methodology is developed to evaluate thermal induced frequency detuning of ISNS RFQ structure. Parametric studies are carried out to investigate the effect of cooling water temperatures on RFQ frequency. Based on analysis results, cooling water temperatures are varied to restore RFQ frequency to designed values. Thus, water cooling will not only remove heat from structure, but it will also be used for online control of resonating frequency during steady state operation of RFQ structure. Results of numerical studies carried out for thermal management of ISNS RFQ are presented in this paper.

Hydrobiological survey of a‘soft-water’and‘highly de-mineralized’reservoir of Meghalaya state of northeast India is undertaken to analyze zooplankton diversity with reference to the spatio-temporal variations and influence of abiotic *** littoral and limnetic zooplankton assemblages of this subtropical reservoir without aquatic vegetation reveal total 36 species,and record lower abundance,quantitative dominance of Rotifera,sub-dominance of Cladocera and Copepoda and moderate species *** cochlearis,Bosmina longirostris,Polyarthra vulgaris,Mesocyclops leuckarti,Conochilus unicornis and Asplanchna priodonta influence abundance,species diversity,dominance and equitability of *** report differential spatial influence of individual abiotic factors with the relatively more importance at the limnetic region,and the canonical correspondence analysis registers 72.5%and 78.8%cumulative influence of 10 abiotic factors on the littoral and limnetic assemblages,*** spatial differences of various diversity aspects and the influence of abiotic factors suggest habitat heterogeneity amongst the two *** study is a useful contribution to zooplankton diversity of the subtropical environs,and soft and de-mineralized waters in *** results mark a distinct contrast to the lowest richness and abundance of zooplankton noted from India vide the preliminary 1990-91 survey of this reservoir.

Gliosarcoma is rare central nervous system tumour and a variant of glioblastoma multiforme with bimorphic histological pattern of glial and sarcomatous differentiation. It occurs in elderly between 5^(th) and 6^(th) decades of life and extremely rare in children. It is highly aggressive tumour and managed like glioblastoma multiforme. A 12-year-old female child presented with complaints of headache and vomiting from 15d and blurring of vision from 3d. Magnetic resonance imaging of brain shows heterogeneous mass in right parieto-occipital cortex. A right parieto-occipito-temporal craniotomy with complete excision of mass revealed a primary glioblastoma on histopathological investigation. Treatment consists of maximum surgical excision followed by adjuvant radiotherapy. The etiopathogenesis, treatment modalities and prognosis is discussed. The available literature is also reviewed.

The authors analyze phytoplankton diversity of a small urban wetland of Meghalaya to assess biodiversity and limnology interest of small water ***“slightly acidic-circumneutral,demineralized and soft water”subtropical wetland reveals diverse phytoplankton(64 species),indicates high desmid richness and highlights the speciose littoral constellations of up to 55-58 species per *** comprises dominant quantitative component of net plankton and registers Charophyta dominance;Chlorophyta>Bacillariophyta>Dinozoa>Chrysophyta>Cyanobacteria depict sub-dominance,and Euglenozoa and Cryptophyta show poor abundance at the littoral and semi-limnetic *** richness of phytoplankton and abundance of phytoplankton,Charophyta,Chlorophyta,Dinozoa,Chrysophyta and Cyanobacteria follow bimodal spatio-temporal ***,Cosmarium,Staurastrum,Micrasterias,Netrium,Staurodesmus and Scenedesmus are notable genera,and 14 species collectively influence phytoplankton *** registers high species diversity,lower dominance and high *** 15 abiotic factors,only the rainfall and sulphate exert notable influence individually,while the canonical correspondence analysis registers lower cumulative influence of the selected 10 factors on the littoral and semi-limnetic phytoplankton *** study merits interest for neglected biodiversity and ecology of small aquatic biotopes of India and urban wetlands in particular.

Chemotherapy has been linked with Takotsubo cardiomyopathy. Most of the literature on chemotherapy associated Takotsubo cardiomyopathy is on the drug 5-fluorouracil. In this report, we describe the case of a 55-year-old Asian male who developed Takotsubo cardiomyopathy while receiving dual chemotherapy with cytarabine and daunorubicin for acute myeloid leukemia. To our knowledge, it is the first case of Takotsubo cardiomyopathy associated with daunorubicin and/or cytarabine.
