BACKGrOUND Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ErCP)is an essential therapeutic tool for biliary and pancreatic *** and elderly patients,especially those aged≥90 years are generally considered a higher-risk population for ErCP-related *** To investigate outcomes of ErCP in the Non-agenarian population(≥90 years)concerning *** This is a cohort study using the 2018-2020 National readmission *** aged≥90 were identified who underwent ErCP,using the international classification of diseases-10 code with clinical *** Hopkins’s adjusted clinical groups frailty indicator was used to classify patients as frail and *** primary outcome was mortality,and the secondary outcomes were morbidity and the 30 d readmission rate related to *** used univariate and multivariate regression models for *** A total of 9448 patients were admitted for any indications of *** and non-frail patients were 3445(36.46%)and 6003(63.53%)*** for ErCP were Choledocholithiasis(74.84%),Biliary pancreatitis(9.19%),Pancreatico-biliary cancer(7.6%),Biliary stricture(4.84%),and Cholangitis(1.51%).Mortality rates were higher in frail group[adjusted odds ratio(aOr)=1.68,P=0.02].The Intra-procedural complications were insigni-ficant between the two groups which included bleeding(aOr=0.72,P=0.67),accidental punctures/lacerations(aOr=0.77,P=0.5),and mechanical ventilation rates(aOr=1.19,P=0.6).Post-ErCP complication rate was similar for bleeding(aOr=0.72,P=0.41)and post-ErCP pancreatitis(aOr=1.4,P=0.44).Frail patients had a longer length of stay(6.7 d vs 5.5 d)and higher mean total charges of hospitalization($78807 vs$71392)compared to controls(Preadmission rates between frail and non-frail patients were similar(P=0.96).CONCLUSION There was a significantly higher mortality risk and healthcare burden amongst nonagenarian frail patients undergoing ErCP compared

Pulsatile blood flow through stenosed artery with axial translation

The study of pulsatile blood flow through axisymmetric stenosed artery subject to an axial translation has been attempted with hematocrit concentration-dependent blood viscosity. The heart contraction and subsequent relaxation generate periodic pressure gradient in blood flow and translation in the artery can be represented by Fourier series. Numerical data required for computing Fourier harmonics for the pressure gradient and acceleration in the artery has been simulated from pressure waveform graph and biplanar angiogram. Velocity field has been obtained by solving governing equation using variational ritz method. The hemodynamic indicators WSS, AWSS, OSI, rrT are derived and computed numerically. The effects of thickness of stenosis, and hematocrit concentration index on these indicators are computed and analyzed through graphs.

Structural characterization of carboxyl cellulose nanofibers extracted from underutilized sources

Two different chemical methods, TEMPO-oxidation and nitro-oxidation, were used to extract carboxyl cellulose nanofibers(CNFs) from non-wood biomass sources(i.e., jute, soft and hard spinifex grasses). The combined TEMPO-oxidation and homogenization approach was very efficient to produce CNFs from the cellulose component of biomass;however, the nitrooxidation method was also found to be effective to extract CNFs directly from raw biomass even without mechanical *** effect of these two methods on the resulting cross-section dimensions of CNFs was investigated by solution small-angle Xray scattering(SAXS), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and atomic force microscopy(AFM). The UV-Vis spectroscopic data from 0.1 wt% TEMPO-oxidized nanofiber(TOCNF) and nitro-oxidized nanofiber(NOCNF) suspensions showed that TOCNF had the highest transparency(> 95%) because of better dispersion, resulted from the highest carboxylate content(1.2 mmol/g). The consistent scattering and microscopic results indicated that TOCNFs from jute and spinifex grasses possessed rectangular cross-sections, while NOCNFs exhibited near square cross-sections. This study revealed that different oxidation methods can result in different degrees of biomass exfoliation and different CNF morphology.

Viral regulation of rNA Granules in Infected Cells

rNA granules are cytoplasmic, microscopically visible, non-membrane ribo-nucleoprotein structures and are important posttranscriptional regulators in gene expression by controlling rNA translation and stability. TIA/G3BP/PABP-specific stress granules(SG) and GW182/DCP-specific rNA processing bodies(PB) are two major distinguishable rNA granules in somatic cells and contain various ribosomal subunits, translation factors, scaffold proteins, rNA-binding proteins, rNA decay enzymes and helicases to exclude m rNAs from the cellular active translational pool. Although SG formation is inducible due to cellular stress, PB exist physiologically in every cell. Both rNA granules are important components of the host antiviral defense. Virus infection imposes stress on host cells and thus induces SG formation. However, both rNA and DNA viruses must confront the hostile environment of host innate immunity and apply various strategies to block the formation of SG and PB for their effective infection and multiplication. This review summarizes the current research development in the field and the mechanisms of how individual viruses suppress the formation of host SG and PB for virus production.

Let f be an entire function. A point Zo is called a critical point of f if f′（zo） = O, and f（zo） is called a critical value （or an algebraic singularity） of f. Next a ∈ C is said to be an asymptotic value （or a transcendental singularity） of f if there exists a curve Г ： [0, 1） → C such that limt→1 F（t） = ∞ and limt→1（f o Г）（t） = a. In this paper we find relations between the asymptotic values of f, 9 and f o 9, relations between critical points of f, 9 and f o 9 and also in the case when the two functions f and 9 are semi-conjugated with another entire function.

The major purpose of this paper is to find an alternative configuration that not only minimizes the limitations of single-gate（SG） MOSFETs but also provides the better replacement for future *** this paper,the electrical characteristics of SiGe double-gate N-MOSFET are demonstrated and compared with electrical characteristics of Si double-gate ***,in this paper the electrical characteristics of Si doublegate N-MOSFET are demonstrated and compared with electrical characteristics of Si single-gate *** simulations are carried out for the device at different operational voltages using Cogenda Visual TCAD ***,we have designed its structure and studied both Id-Vg characteristics for different voltages namely 0.05,0.1,0.5,0.8,1 and 1.5 V and Id-Vd characteristics for different voltages namely 0.1,0.5,1 and 1.5 V at work functions 4.5,4.6 and 4.8 eV for this *** performance parameters investigated in this paper are threshold voltage,DIBL,subthreshold slope,GIDL,volume inversion and MMCr.

^57Fe Mossbauer spectroscopic study was carried out on the organic rich sedimentary samples collected at different depth intervals from newly drilled test well Chinnewala Tibba-1（CT-1） located in Jaisalmer Petroliferous basin India. It is found that iron is mainly distributed in high spin Fe^3＋and Fe^2＋ state in clay minerals. The plot of Fe^2＋/（Fe^2＋＋ Fe^3＋） indicates the presence of poor redox conditions in the *** obtained are also compared with those already reported in the literature. This comparison shows that there may exist a correlation between prospecting of the basin, the redox environment in sediments and the nature of iron bearing minerals distributed in the sedimentary sequence.

The prevalence of smartphones is deeply embedded in modern society,impacting various aspects of our *** versatility and functionalities have fundamentally changed how we communicate,work,seek entertainment,and access *** the many smartphones available,those operating on the Android platform dominate,being the most widely used *** widespread adoption of the Android OS has significantly contributed to increased malware attacks targeting the Android ecosystem in recent ***,there is an urgent need to develop new methods for detecting Android *** literature contains numerous works related to Android malware *** far as our understanding extends,we are the first ones to identify dangerous combinations of permissions and system calls to uncover malicious behavior in Android *** introduce a novel methodology that pairs permissions and system calls to distinguish between benign and malicious *** approach combines the advantages of static and dynamic analysis,offering a more comprehensive understanding of an application’s *** establish covalent bonds between permissions and system calls to assess their combined *** introduce a novel technique to determine these pairs’Covalent Bond Strength *** pair is assigned two scores,one for malicious behavior and another for benign *** scores serve as the basis for classifying applications as benign or *** correlating permissions with system calls,the study enables a detailed examination of how an app utilizes its requested permissions,aiding in differentiating legitimate and potentially harmful *** comprehensive analysis provides a robust framework for Android malware detection,marking a significant contribution to the *** results of our experiments demonstrate a remarkable overall accuracy of 97.5%,surpassing various state-of-the-art detection techniques proposed in the current literature.

Effect of tillage and crop residue management on soil properties,crop performance,energy relations and economics in greengram(Vigna radiata L.)was evaluated under four maize-based cropping systems in an Inceptisol of Delhi,*** bulk density,hydraulic conductivity and aggregation at 0-15 cm layer were significantly affected both by tillage and cropping systems,while zero tillage significantly increased the soil organic carbon *** of greengram were significantly higher in maize-chickpea and maize-mustard systems,more so with residue *** no residue was added,conventional tillage required 20%higher energy inputs than the zero tillage,while the residue addition increased the energy output in both tillage ***-wheat-greengram cropping system involved the maximum energy requirement and the cost of ***,the largest net return was obtained from the maize-chickpea-greengram system under the conventional tillage with residue *** zero tillage resulted in better aggregation,C content and N availability in soil,and reduced the energy inputs,cultivation of summer greengram appeared to be profitable under conventional tillage system with residue incorporation.

Potential of herbal constituents as new natural leads against helminthiasis: A neglected tropical disease

The WHO reports that billions of people and animals in tropical and subtropical regions are affected by helminthiasis as neglected tropical disease. It is predominant in underdeveloped areas;nevertheless, the increase in the number of travelers and migrants has made this infection more common. The current mass drug treatment produces severe side effects and many strains of helminths are resistant to them. None of the chemotherapeutic drugs meets the ideal requirements of anthelmintics, such as broad spectrum of activity, single dose cure, free from side effect and cost-effectiveness. Today, many researchers are screening the traditional herbal system in search of the anthelmintic herbal constituents which overcome all the problems of synthetic drugs. Several researchers proclaim anthelmintic activity of herbal medicines by using different experimental models. The present review demonstrates natural product drug discovery, outlining potential of herbal constituents from natural sources as natural leads against helminthiasis.
