Fuzzy C-means(FCM)is a clustering method that falls under unsupervised machine *** main issues plaguing this clustering algorithm are the number of the unknown clusters within a particular dataset and initialization sensitivity of cluster *** Bee Colony(ABC)is a type of swarm algorithm that strives to improve the members’solution quality as an iterative process with the utilization of particular kinds of ***,ABC has some weaknesses,such as balancing exploration and *** improve the exploration process within the ABC algorithm,the mean artificial bee colony(MeanABC)by its modified search equation that depends on solutions of mean previous and global best is ***,to solve the main issues of FCM,Automatic clustering algorithm was proposed based on the mean artificial bee colony called(AC-MeanABC).It uses the MeanABC capability of balancing between exploration and exploitation and its capacity to explore the positive and negative directions in search space to find the best value of clusters number and centroids value.A few benchmark datasets and a set of natural images were used to evaluate the effectiveness of *** experimental findings are encouraging and indicate considerable improvements compared to other state-of-the-art approaches in the same domain.

Numerical modeling and experimental validation of microstructure in gray cast iron

To predict the amount of different phases in gray cast iron by a finite difference model （FDM） on the basis of cooling rate （R）, the volume fractions of total y phase, graphite, and cementite were calculated. The results of phase composition were evaluated to find a proper correlation with cooling rate. More trials were carried out to find a good correlation between the hardness and phase composition. New proposed formulas show that the hardness of gray cast iron decreases as the amount of graphite phase increases, and increases as the amount of cementite inereases. The,qe fnrrnulas are develoned to correlate the nhase volume fraction to hardness. The results are compared with exverimental data and show reasonable agreement.

Comparison of dry reforming of methane in low temperature hybrid plasma-catalytic corona with thermal catalytic reactor over Ni/γ-Al_2O_3

In the current study, the hybrid effect of a corona discharge and γ-alumina supported Ni catalysts in CO2 reforming of methane is investigated. The study includes both purely catalytic operation in the temperature range of 923-1023 K, and hybrid catalytic-plasma operation of DC corona discharge reactor at room temperature and ambient pressure. The effect of feed flow rate, discharge power and Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalysts are studied. When CH4/CO2 ratio in the feed is 1/2, the syngas of low Ha/CO ratio at about 0.56 is obtained, which is a potential feedstock for synthesis of liquid hydrocarbons. Although Ni catalyst is only active above 573 K, presence of Ni catalysts in the cold corona plasma reactor （T≤523 K） shows promising increase in the conversions of methane and carbon dioxide. When Ni catalysts are used in the plasma reaction, H2/CO ratios in the products are slightly modified, selectivity to CO increases whereas fewer by-products such as hydrocarbons and oxygenates are formed.

Towards a self-adaptive service-oriented methodology based on extended SOMA

We propose a self-adaptive process （SAP） that maintains the software architecture quality using the MAPE-K standard model. The proposed process can be plugged into various software development processes and service-oriented meth- odologies due to its explicitly defined inputs and outputs. To this aim, the proposed SAP is integrated with the service-oriented modeling and application （SOMA） methodology in a two-layered structure to create a novel methodology, named self-adaptive service-oriented architecture methodology （SASOAM）, which provides a semi-automatic self-aware method by the composition of architectural tactics. Moreover, the maintenance activity of SOMA is improved using architectural and adaptive patterns, which results in controlling the software architecture quality. The improvement in the maintainability of SOMA is demonstrated by an analytic hierarchy process （AHP） based evaluation method. Furthermore, the proposed method is applied to a case study to represent the feasibility and practicality of SASOAM.

A Flexible Multichannel Digital Random Pulse Generator Based on FPGA

The present paper describes a multichannel digital random pulse generator implemented in a 65-nm FPGA device. The random time interval generation is based on inverse transformation method. The output pulse generation rate, pulse width and the probability distribution function (PDF) of each channel might be individually selected by the computer through a USB cable connection. Statistical properties of the output channels can be adjusted and recorded in a fully dynamic flexible manner. The Poisson and uniform PDFs were tested and implemented for up to eight different channels in experiment, however, the implementation of any arbitrary PDF is possible by programming capability of the device as well. Detailed experimental results are expressed in the manuscript. The proposed equipment makes it possible to verify the complicated multichannel detection systems without having the radioactive experimental tests. This is a low cost instrumentation due to the FPGA-based construction.
