In this paper we address the problem of pressure management in water supply system （WSS） network. The model-based predictive control （MPC） strategies have some important features to deal with WSS. By hydraulic analysis of WSS, the predictive model is derived from the dynamic model and static model of WSS. Through WSS, the consumers＇ demands are required to be met at all times according to some operational constraints that must be satisfied. The constraints of flow through actuators, the water level of reservoirs and the consumer areas＇ pressure demand are determined by a specific system. In this work, we develop a constrained MPC controller that considers the zone control of the pressure outputs and incorporates steady state economic targets in the control cost function. The designed management strategies are applied to a case study and simulation results, covering different aspects, are provided. The output nodal pressure can be controlled in the desired zone by optimal scheduling the actuators of the WSS. If the variation range of reservoir＇s water level is broader, the rate of flow through the actuators is gentle, and vice versa.

A model predictive controller based on a novel structure selection criterion for the vapor compression cycle （VCC） of refrigeration process is proposed in this paper. Firstly, those system variables are analyzed which exert significant influences on the system performance. Then the structure selection criterion, a trade-off between computation complexity and model performance, is applied to different model structures, and the results are utilized to determine the optimized model structure for controller design. The controller based on multivariable model predictive control （MPC） strategy is designed, and the optimization problem for the reduced order models is formulated as a constrained minimization problem. The effectiveness of the proposed MPC controller is verified on the experimental rig.

In this paper, a low-dimensional multiple-input and multiple-output （MIMO） model predictive control （MPC） configuration is presented for partial differential equation （PDE） unknown spatially-distributed systems （SDSs）. First, the dimension reduction with principal component analysis （PCA） is used to transform the high-dimensional spatio-temporal data into a low-dimensional time domain. The MPC strategy is proposed based on the online correction low-dimensional models, where the state of the system at a previous time is used to correct the output of low-dimensional models. Sufficient conditions for closed-loop stability are presented and proven. Simulations demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed methodologies.

In multi-label learning,it is rather expensive to label instances since they are simultaneously associated with multiple ***,active learning,which reduces the labeling cost by actively querying the labels of the most valuable data,becomes particularly important for multi-label learning.A good multi-label active learning algorithm usually consists of two crucial elements:a reasonable criterion to evaluate the gain of querying the label for an instance,and an effective classification model,based on whose prediction the criterion can be accurately *** this paper,we first introduce an effective multi-label classification model by combining label ranking with threshold learning,which is incrementally trained to avoid retraining from scratch after every *** on this model,we then propose to exploit both uncertainty and diversity in the instance space as well as the label space,and actively query the instance-label pairs which can improve the classification model *** experiments on 20 datasets demonstrate the superiority of the proposed approach to state-of-the-art methods.

A Time/Space Separation Based 3D Fuzzy Modeling Approach for Nonlinear Spatially Distributed Systems

Spatially distributed systems （SDSs） are usually infinite-dimensional spatio-temporal systems with unknown nonlinearities. Therefore, to model such systems is difficult. In real applications, a low-dimensional model is required. In this paper, a time/space separation based 3D fuzzy modeling approach is proposed for unknown nonlinear SDSs using input-output data measurement. The main characteristics of this approach is that time/space separation and time/space reconstruction are fused into a novel 3D fuzzy system. The modeling methodology includes two stages. The first stage is 3D fuzzy structure modeling which is based on Mamdani fuzzy rules. The consequent sets of 3D fuzzy rules consist of spatial basis functions estimated by Karhunen-Love decomposition. The antecedent sets of 3D fuzzy rules are used to construct temporal coefficients. Going through 3D fuzzy rule inference, each rule realizes time/space synthesis. The second stage is parameter identification of 3D fuzzy system using particle swarm optimization algorithm. After an operation of defuzzification, the output of the 3D fuzzy system can reconstruct the spatio-temporal dynamics of the system. The model is suitable for the prediction and control design of the SDS since it is of low-dimension and simple nonlinear structure. The simulation and experiment are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed modeling approach.

The co-utilization of silicon(Si) and graphite(G) has been considered as the preferred strategy to achieve high energy density anode materials,but the effective synergistic integration of Si and graphite is still a challenge and it is necessary to find a scheme to accommodate the large-scale production of Si/graphite *** this work,silicon cutting waste from the photovoltaic industry was used as raw material,mixed with graphite,pitch,and polyvinylpyrrolidone,and subjected to high-energy ball *** mixture was then heated in an Ar atmosphere for the carbon coating,and the resulting Si/graphite/carbon(Si/G/C) composite was etched to remove the thicker SiOx layer formed on the Si surface to allow the pores between the Si and the carbon matrix to obtain Si@voids/G@*** from the integrated structural design and the significantly enhanced electronic conductivity,the Si/G@voids@C composite exhibited the first dischargespecific capacity of 2530 mAh·g^(-1) with an initial coulombic efficiency(ICE) of 86.7%,and the remaining capacity exceeded 1000 mAh·g^(-1) after 550 cycles at 1.5A·g^(-1).Notably,full lithium-ion batteries with a Si/G@voids@C anode and liFePO_4 cathode delivered a stable capacity of 140 mAh·g^(-1).The synthesis method is facile and cost-effective,providing an integration strategy for Si and G with a potential scheme for large-scale commercial applications.

Developing safer and more efficient hydrogen storage technology is a pivotal step to realizing the hydrogen economy. Owing to the lightweight, high hydrogen storage density and abundant reserves, MgH_(2) has been widely studied as one of the most promising solidstate hydrogen storage materials. However, defects such as stable thermodynamics, sluggish kinetics and rapid capacity decay have seriously hindered its practical application. This article reviews recent advances in catalyst doping and nanostructures for improved kinetic performance of MgH_(2)/Mg systems for hydrogen release/absorption, the tuning of their thermodynamic stability properties by alloying and reactant destabilization, and the dual thermodynamic and kinetic optimization of the MgH_(2)/Mg system achieved by nanoconfinement with in situ catalysis and ball milling with in situ aerosol spraying, aiming to open new perspectives for the scale-up of MgH_(2) for hydrogen storage applications.

Methanol-to-olefins(MTO)process is one of the most critical pathways to produce low carbon ***,the reaction is driven by thermal catalysis,which inevitably needs to consume large amounts of fossil *** a new technique to substitute for the fuel burning is urgent for MTO process to improve the industry prospects and ***,we report a novel W_(18)O_(49)/Au/SAPO-34(W/Au/S),a multifunctional photothermal catalyst for the MTO reaction.A high methanol conversion was achieved under xenonum(Xe)lamp irradiation,yielding methyl ether(ME)and ethylene as the main *** optimized W/Au/S catalysts showed ethylene yield as high as 250μmol in 60 min,which was 2.5 times higher than that of Au/*** physiochemical characterization revealed that the SAPO-34 molecular sieves were surrounded by Au and W_(18)O_(49)nanoparticles,which exhibited a strong localized surface plasmon resonance excitation around 540 nm and light absorption beyond 500 *** multifunctional catalysts showed a strong photothermal effect,arising from the broadened light absorption of Au and W_(18)O_(49)nanoparticles,leading to a temperature as high as 250℃on the surface of the *** study showed that the superior ethylene selectivity of W/Au/S catalysts was attributed to the moderating acidic sites of W_(18)O_(49)for methanol dehydration to *** research may provide new insight for designing heterostructures to improve photo-to-chemical conversion performance and is expected to accelerate progress toward the excellent multifunctional photothermal catalysts with broad light absorption for methanol activation and C-C bond formation.
