Pulsed chemical vapor deposition(P-CVD)is a promising technology for the surface modification of TiO_(2) *** the scale-up application of P-CVD,a custom-designed rotary reactor and corresponding coating process at room temperature was developed in the present *** obtained SiO_(2)-coated TiO_(2) particles were characterized by various measures including high-resolution transmission electron microscope,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,*** results illustrated that the SiO_(2) films with a thickness of(3.7±0.7)nm were successfully deposited onto the surface of TiO_(2) *** to the dye degradation tests and acid solubility measurement,the deposited film can effectively inhibit the photocatalytic activity and enhance the weatherability of the TiO_(2) *** potential measurements showed that the SiO_(2)-coated TiO_(2) is possible to be stably dispersed in the pH range of 6.9–*** coating process made the whiteness of TiO_(2) particles decreased slightly but still sufficient(97.3±0.1)for ***,the properties of the TiO_(2) particles coated by PCVD were compared with the particles coated by traditional wet chemical *** is shown that the P-CVD can produce thinner but denser films with better photoactivity suppression *** developed coating process within the rotary reactor was proved practically feasible and convenient for the scale-up production of SiO_(2)-coated TiO_(2) via P-CVD.

Thermal stress is an important reason of coal particle primary fragmentation,during which the role of pore structure is *** stress induced fragmentation experiments were conducted with low volatile coal/char particles,and the results show that the fragmentation severity enhances with increasing *** porous thermal stress models were developed with finite element method,and the influences of the pore shape,size,position and porosity on the thermal stress were *** maximum thermal stress inside particle increases with pore curvature,the pore position affects the thermal stress more significantly at the particle center and *** expectation of the maximum tensile thermal stress linearly increases with porosity,making the particles with higher porosity easier to fragment,contrary to the conclusion deduced from the devolatilization *** obtained results are valuable for the analysis of different thermal processes concerning the thermal stresses of the solid feedstocks.

Objective: To investigate the effects of electroacupuncture(EA) on endolymphatic hydrops(EH) and the regulation of arginine vasopressin(AVP)-aquaporin-2(AQP2) pathway in guinea pigs. Methods: EH was induced in male guinea pigs by an intraperitoneal injection of AVP. For the treatment, EA was delivered to Baihui(GV 20) and Tinggong(SI 19) acupoints, once per day for 10 consecutive days. In histomorphological studies, cochlear hydrops degree was evaluated by hematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining, and then the ratio of scala media(SM) area to SM + scala vestibuli(SV) area(R value) was calculated. In mechanical studies, a comparison of plasma AVP(p-AVP) concentrations, cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP) levels, vasopressin type 2 receptor(V2R) and AQP2 mRNA expressions in the cochlea were compared among groups. Results: EA significantly reduced cochlear hydrops in guinea pigs(P=0.001). EA significantly attenuated the AVPinduced up-regulation of p-AVP concentrations(P=0.006), cochlear c AMP levels(P=0.003) and AQP2 mRNA expression(P=0.016), and up-regulated the expression of V2R mRNA(P=0.004) in the cochlea. Conclusion: The dehydrating effect of EA might be associated with its inhibition of AVP-AQP2 pathway activation.

The subsea suspended manifold designed to replace the traditional foundation structure with the buoys is a new generation subsea production system that can be suspended at a certain height from the seafloor and rapidly recycled by its own *** to complex environmental conditions,its hydrodynamic performance in the splash zone is extremely important for the safety of the whole installation *** this paper,the mathematical model for the dynamic analysis of the seawater ingress process of the single-layer pre-set horizontal cabin is proposed based on the different center of gravity positions of the ***,the theoretical analysis of fiber cable is divided into infinite differential units by the discretization method,and the formulae of the horizontal displacement of the subsea suspended manifold are *** addition,the simulations are carried out to verify the rules of the dynamic responses on the subsea suspended manifold system with the consideration of the environmental conditions in the South China *** with the calculated value of the mathematical model of the cabin water ingress,the error of the simulation result by use of FLUENT is about 5.47%.Furthermore,the wave height is greater than the current impact on the lowering manifold system and the azimuth angle of the installation vessel is aligned with the direction of the environmental load.

Offshore waters provide resources for human beings,while on the other hand,threaten them because of marine *** stations are part of offshore observation networks,and the quality of their data is of great significance for exploiting and protecting the *** used hourly mean wave height,temperature,and pressure real-time observation data taken in the Xiaomaidao station(in Qingdao,China)from June 1,2017,to May 31,2018,to explore the data quality using eight quality control methods,and to discriminate the most effective method for Xiaomaidao *** using the eight quality control methods,the percentages of the mean wave height,temperature,and pressure data that passed the tests were 89.6%,88.3%,and 98.6%,*** the marine disaster(wave alarm report)data,the values failed in the test mainly due to the influence of aging observation equipment and missing data *** mean wave height is often affected by dynamic marine disasters,so the continuity test method is not *** correlation test with other related parameters would be more useful for the mean wave height.

Evidence has accumulated that there is a trade-off between benefits and costs associated with rapid growth. A trade-off between growth rates and critical swimming speed (Ucrit) had been also reported to be common in teleost fish. We hypothesize that growth acceleration in the F3 generation of "all-fish" growth hormone gene (GH) transgenic common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) would reduce the swimming abilities. Growth and swimming performance between transgenic fish and non-transgenic controls were compared. The results showed that transgenic fish had a mean body weight 1.4―1.9-fold heavier,and a mean specific growth rate (SGR) value 6%―10% higher than the controls. Transgenic fish,however,had a mean absolute Ucrit (cm/s) value 22% or mean relative Ucrit (BL/s) value 24% lower than the controls. It suggested that fast-growing "all-fish" GH-transgenic carp were inferior swimmers. It is also supported that there was a trade-off between growth rates and swimming performance,i.e. faster-growing individuals had lower critical swimming speed.

The significant decrease of acid sites caused by alkali metal poisoning is the major factor in the deactivation of commercial V_(2)O_(5)-WO_(3)/TiO_(2)NH_(3)-SCR *** this work,the solid superacid SO_(4)^(2-)-TiO_(2) modified by sulfate radicals,was selected as the catalyst support,which showed superior potassium *** physicochemical properties and K-poisoning resistance of the V_(2)O_(5)-WO_(3)/SO_(4)^(2-)-TiO_(2)(VWSTi) catalyst were carried out by XRD,BET,H2-TPR,NH3-TPD,XPS,in situ DRIFTS and *** results pointed out that the introduction of SO_(4)^(2-)significantly increased the NH3-SCR catalytic activity at high temperatures,with an exceptionally high NO_(x) conversion over 90% between 275℃ and 500℃.When 0.5%(mass) K_(2)O was doped on the catalysts,the catalytic performance of the traditional V_(2)O_(5)-WO_(3)/TiO_(2)(VWTi) catalyst decreased significantly,while the VWSTi catalyst could still maintain a NOxconversion over 90%in the range of 300–500℃.The characterizations suggested that the support of SO_(4)^(2-)-TiO_(2) greatly increased the number of acidic sites,thereby enhancing the adsorption capacity of the reactant NH_(3).The results above demonstrated a potential approach to achieve superior potassium resistance for NH3-SCR catalysts using solid superacid.
