intelligent traffic control requires accurate estima.ion of the road states and incorpora.ion of adaptive or dyna.ically adjusted intelligent algorithms for ma.ing the *** this article,these issues are handled by proposing a novel framework for traffic control using vehicular communica.ions and internet of Things *** framework integrates Kalman filtering and *** smoothing Kalman filtering,our data fusion Kalman filter incorporates a process-aware model which makes it superior in terms of the prediction *** tra.itional Q-learning,our Q-learning algorithm enables adaptive state quantiza.ion by changing the threshold of separa.ing low traffic from high traffic on the road according to the ma.imum number of vehicles in the junction *** evalua.ion,the model has been simulated on a single intersection consisting of four roads:east,west,north,and south.A compa.ison of the developed adaptive quantized Q-learning(AQQL)framework with state-of-the-art and greedy approaches shows the superiority of AQQL with an improvement percentage in terms of the released number of vehicles of AQQL is 5%over the greedy approach and 340%over the state-of-the-art ***,AQQL provides an effective traffic control that can be applied in today’s intelligent traffic system.

We demonstrated a new type of MAX phase material， Chromium Tita.ium Aluminum Carbide (Cr2TiAlC2) polymer film to generate a passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser. The film thickness was measured around 45 μm which was fabricated using the embedding method with PVA polymer as hoster. The SA film demonstrates a dual-wavelength passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser （EDFL） which operates at 1531 nm and 1560.19 nm， respectively. The Q-switching pulse dura.ion could be va.ied from 2.46 μs to 770 ns while the repetition rate va.ied from 92.76 kHz to 106.6 kHz with an increa.ing input pumping range of 154 mW to 300 mW. The ma.imum output power and pulse energy of 15.05 mW and 141.18 nJ were obtained at a ma.imum input power of 300 mW， respectively. To the best of our knowledge， this is the first time that on dual-wavelength Q-switched EDF laser by Cr2TiAlC2as SA.

Hydrodyna.ics characteriza.ion in terms ofﬂow regime beha.ior is a crucial task to enhance the design of bubble column reactors and sca.ing up related *** review presents recent studies on the typicalﬂow regimes established in bubble *** effort is also provided to introduce relevant deﬁnitions pertaining to thisﬁeld,namely,that of“void fraction”and related(local,chordal,cross-sectional and volumetric)*** studies involving different parameters that affect design and opera.ing conditions are also discussed in *** the second part of the review,the attention is shifted to cases with internals of va.ious types(perfo-rated plates,bafﬂes,vibra.ing helical springs,mixers,and heat exchanger tubes)immersed in the bubble *** is shown that the presence of these elements has a limited inﬂuence on the global column ***,they can make the homogeneousﬂow regime more stable in terms of transition gas velocity and transi-tion holdup *** last section is used to highlight gaps which have not beenﬁlled yet and future directions of investiga.ion.

The genera.ized travelling salesman problem(GTSP),a genera.iza.ion of the well-known travelling salesman problem(TSP),is considered for our *** the GTSP is NP-hard and very complex,finding exact solutions is highly expensive,we will develop genetic algorithms(GAs)to obtain heuristic solutions to the *** GAs,as the crossover is a very important process,the crossovermethods proposed for the tra.itional TSP could be adapted for the *** sequential constructive crossover(SCX)and three other operators are adapted to use in GAs to solve the *** effectiveness of GA using SCX is verified on some GTSP Library(GTSPLiB)instances first and then compared against GAs using the other crossover *** computa.ional results show the success of the GA using SCX for this *** proposed GA using SCX,and swap muta.ion could find average solutions whose average percentage of excesses fromthe best-known solutions is between 0.00 and 14.07 for our investigated instances.

in this paper,we consider the impa.ient customers in M/M/1 queueing model under va.iant working vaca.ion *** customer’s impa.ience is due to its arrival during a working vaca.ion period,where the service rate of the customer is lower than a normal busy *** the system is non-empty when the server returns from the working vaca.ion,the server resumes the normal service ***,the server will take successive working vaca.ions till it reaches the ma.imum number of K working vaca.ions and then the server remains idle until the next ***-form proba.ilities are obtained by using the identities involving beta functions and degenerate hypergeometric functions,and the performance measures of the system are derived using genera.ing *** stochastic decomposition structures of the mean queue length and mean waiting time are *** effects of the system parameters on some performance measures had been numerically illustrated.

Evidence gained from previous field tests conducted on drilled shaft founda.ion shows that using drilling slurries to sta.ilize a borehole during the construction may influence the interfa.ial shear *** paper deals with an exhaustive study of the effects of drilling slurries at the contact between soil and *** study involved adapting a simple shear apparatus and performing approximately 100 experimental tests on the interaction between two types of soils;clay and sandy clay and five specimens of concrete with different surface *** also involved using bentonite and polymer slurries as an interface layer between soil and *** showed that an interface layer of bentonite slurry between clay and concrete decreases the interfa.ial shear strength by 23% and as an interface layer between sandy clay and concrete,bentonite increases interfa.ial shear strength by 10%.Using polymer slurry as an interface layer between clay and concrete decreases the interfa.ial shear strength by 17% while using it as an interface layer between sandy clay and concrete increases the interfa.ial shear strength by 10%.Furthermore,the data show that using bentonite and polymer slurry as an interface layer between clay and concrete decreases the sliding ra.io by 50% to 60%,while increa.ing the sliding ra.io by 44% to 56% when these are used as an interface layer between sandy clay and concrete.
