Here, a new idea was proposed for template-free synthesis of hierarchical m-ZrO2 nanorods and ＂their＂ possible formation mechanism based on a series of chemical reactions by simple hydrothermal method. The traditional preparation methods of hierarchical ZrO2 nanorods involved inexpensive equipment, complicated process, and high production cost. The as-synthesized products composed of many nanorods with 180-200 nm in diameter and 5-7 μm in length. The fi nal product after annealing involved hierarchical monoclinic ZrO2（m-ZrO2） nanorods, namely, the big nanorod was made up of many small nanorods with 40-50 nm in diameter and 500-600 nm in length. The experimental results were useful in understanding the chemical properties of ZrB2 and ZrO2 and the design of the derivatives for m-ZrO2 nanomaterials.

We investigate the fragmentation of 158A GeV ^207Tpb projectiles with Bi, Pb, Cu and AI targets using CR-39 nuclear track detectors. The exposures were made at SPS-CERN. After the etching, the detectors were scanned using an optical microscope to collect the data of etched cone diameters and lengths. We measured the partial charge-changing cross sections using the data of etched cone lengths. The predicted cross sections are compared to similar measurements reported in literature and their dependences on projectile and target mass are described.

Indus Deltaic Region(IDR) in Pakistan is an erosion vulnerable coast due to the high deep water wave energy. Livelihood of millions of people depends on the fisheries and mangrove forests in IDR. IDR consists of many creeks where Daboo is a major creek located at southeast of the largest city of Pakistan, Karachi. Unfortunately, there has been no detailed study to analyze the damages of sea water intrusion at a large temporal and spatial scale. Therefore, this study is designed to estimate the effects of sea water inundation based on changing sea water surface salinity and sea surface temperature(SST). Sea surface salinity and SST data from two different surveys in Daboo creek during 1986 and 2010 are analyzed to estimate the damages and extent of sea water intrusion. mean salinity has increased 33.33% whereas mean SST decreased 13.79% from 1987 to 2010. Spatio-temporal analysis of creek area using LANDSAT 5 Thematic mapper(Tm) data for the years 1987 and 2010 shows significant amount of erosion at macro scale. Creek area has increased approximately 9.93%(260.86 m^2 per year) which is roughly equal to 60 extensive sized shrimp farms. Further Land Use Land Cover(LULC) analyses for years 2001 and 2014 using LANDSAT 7 Enhanced Thematic mapper Plus(ETm+) has indicated 42.3% decrease in cultivated land. Wet mud flats have spread out at the inner mouth of creek with enormous increase of 123.3%. Significant sea water intrusion has increased the area of barren land by 37.9%. This also resulted in overall decrease of 6.7% in area covered by mangroves. Therefore, this study recorded a significant evidence of sea water intrusion in IDR that has caused serious damages to community living in the area, economical losses. Additionally, it has also changed the environment by reducing creek biological productivity as reported by earlier studies over other regions of the world.

Objective:To characterize the bacterial pathogens in patients having gram negative septicaemia. Further,to evaluate the antimicrobial resistance and underlying molecular mechanisms in these ***:A total number of 70 cases of gram negative sepsis were included in this prospective,open labeled,observational *** methods for isolation and identification of bacteria were *** susceptibility and ESBL testing was performed by the standard disc diffusion *** amplification was performed to identify blaCTX-m,blaSHVand blaTEm type *** experiments were performed to show resistant marker transfer. Results:The most prevalent isolates Escherichia coli（***） 58.6%,Klebsiella Spp.32.9%and Pseudomonas 8.6%,were resistant to most of the antimicrobials including cefazolin,ceftriaxone, cefuroxime,ampicillin and co-trimoxazole but sensitive to imipenem and *** and mBL production was seen 7.3%and 12.2%of *** isolates *** isoaltes were found to have blaCTX-m-15 and two of them also showed blaTEm-1 type ***, none of them showed blaSHV.Conjugation experiments using J-53 cells confirmed these resistant markers as plasmid ***:This work highlights the molecular epidemiology of escalating antimicrobial resistance and likely switch over of blaCTX-m-15 type extended spectrum beta-lactamases by blaTEm type ESBLs in ***,the antimicrobial resistance by horizontal gene transfer was predominant among Enterobacteraceae in the community setting.

Pharmacokinetic analyses were performed using 20 pigs for 120-days implantation,while one sirolimus-eluting stent was implanted into one of their coronary *** different time points,the residual sirolimus on the stent,delivered locally(to artery wall),regionally(to adjacent and downstream muscle)and systemically(to plasma and visceral organs),was detected throughout 120 *** safety evaluation was performed using 32 pigs for 180-days implantation to study the safety of metal platform material and the effectiveness of sirolimus eluting coating on the HNS *** neointima area,restenosis rate and inflammatory grade for HNS and control group stents were detected and *** 80%sirolimus was eluted from the sirolimuseluting stents after 30-days implantation in ***,there was sustained sirolimus in the artery wall,cardiac muscle and heart throughout 120-days implantation,and sirolimus accumulated to the peak at 90-days *** was inferred that the sirolimus eluting stent in this study was covered by neointima before 90-days implantation,indicating that the sirolimus eluting coating on the HNS stent was safe and *** little sirolimus was distributed in visceral organs after 14-days *** sirolimus-eluting stent exhibited lower restenosis rate and lower inflammatory grade than control group,which verified that the sirolimus-eluting coating design in this study was reasonable and *** addition,there were no significant difference in restenosis rate and inflammatory score between HNS bare-metal stent and drug-eluting stents,illustrating that HNS has good bio-compatibility and is suitable to use as coronary artery stent material.

A hard/soft SmCo5/ Fe nanocomposite magnetic bilayer system is fabricated on x-ray transparent 100-200 nm thin SiaN4 films by magnetron sputtering. The microscopic magnetic domain pattern and its behaviours during magnetization reversal in the hard and the soft magnetic phases are studied separately by element specific magnetic soft x-ray microscopy at a spatial resolution of better than 25 Nm. We observe that the domain patterns for the soft and hard phases show coherent behaviours in varying magnetic fields. We derive local m（H） curves from the images of Fe and SmCo5 separately and find the switches for hard and soft phases to be the same.

Spatio-temporal variations in trends of vegetation and drought changes in relation to climate variability from 1982 to 2019 based on remote sensing data from East Asia

Studying the significant impacts on vegetation of drought due to global warming is crucial in order to understand its dynamics and interrelationships with temperature,rainfall,and normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI).These factors are linked to excesses drought frequency and severity on the regional scale,and their effect on vegetation remains an important topic for climate change *** Asia is very sensitive and susceptible to climate *** this study,we examined the effect of drought on the seasonal variations of vegetation in relation to climate variability and determined which growing seasons are most vulnerable to drought risk;and then explored the spatio-temporal evolution of the trend in drought changes in East Asia from 1982 to *** data were studied using a series of several drought indexes,and the data were then classified using a heat map,box and whisker plot analysis,and principal component *** various drought indexes from January to August improved rapidly,except for vegetation health index(VHI)and temperature condition index(TCI).While these indices were constant in September,they increased again in October,but in December,they showed a descending *** seasonal and monthly analysis of the drought indexes and the heat map confirmed that the East Asian region suffered from extreme droughts in 1984,1993,2007,and 2012among the study *** distribution of the trend in drought changes indicated that more severe drought occurred in the northwestern region than in the southeastern area of East *** drought tendency slope was used to describe the changes in drought events during 1982–2019 in the study *** correlations among monthly precipitation anomaly percentage(NAP),NDVI,TCI,vegetation condition index(VCI),temperature vegetation drought index(TVDI),and VHI indicated considerably positive correlations,while considerably negative correlations were found among the three pairs of NDVI and VHI,TVDI and VHI,and NDV
