Objective:To delineate the comparative immunomodulatory roles of H1R-H4R in antibody generation profile in rabbit ***:The cohort comprised of eight groups containing 18(9 male and 9 female) rabbits in each ***Ⅰremained non-immunized and received only vehicle(sterile distilled water,1 mL/kg×b.i.d.) ***Ⅱreceived vehicle (1 mL/kg×b.i.d.) while GroupsⅢ-Ⅶ(drugs-treated) received subcutaneous histamine (100μg/kg×b.i.d.),and intramuscular H1R-antagonist(pheniramine,10 mg/kg×b.i.d.), H2R-antagonist(ranitidine,10 mg/kg×b.i.d.),H3R-antagonist(iodophenpropit,1μg/kg×b.i.d.) and H4R-antagonist(JNJ 7777120,10μg/kg×b.i.d.),and GroupⅧDmSO(1 mL/kg×b.i.d.),respectively for 10 days(starting from day 1).They were subsequendy immunized with intravenous injection of sheep red blood cells(SRBC) at day *** estimation of serum Igs,Igm and IgG were done by ELISA,and observed at day 0(pre-immunization),and 7,14,21,28 and 58(post-immunization).Results:It was shown that histamine and HRs-antagonists could influence a detectable antibody response to SRBC as early as day 7-post-immunization(post-Ⅰ), which lasted until day 58 post-Ⅰ.The results were found statistically significant(Pmine receptors play important roles in modulation of antibody generation in which H1R,H2R and H4R have immunosuppressive roles and conversely, H3R playes an immune enhancing *** findings of this study may have clinical significance and provide the baseline information for future study.

An increased number of hurricanes and tornadoes have been recorded worldwide in the last decade,while research efforts to reduce wind-related damage to structures become *** architecture,which focuses on generating complex curved shapes including streamlined shapes,has recently gained *** study focuses on investigating the potential of kerf panels,which have unique flexibility depending on the cut patterns and densities,to generate complex shapes for facades and their performance under wind *** investigate the kerf panel's potential capacity against wind loads,static and dynamic analyses were conducted for two kerf panel types with different cut densities and pre-deformed *** was observed that although solid panels result in smaller displacement amplitudes,stresses,and strains in some cases,the kerf panels allow for global and local cell deformations resulting in stress reduction in various locations with the potential to reduce damage due to overstress in *** the predeformed kerf panels,it was observed that both the overall stress and strain responses in kerf cut arrangements were lower than those of the flat-shaped *** study shows the promise of the use of kerf panels in achieving both design flexibility and performance demands when exposed to service *** that this newly proposed architectural configuration(design paradigm)for facades could revolutionize structural engineering by pushing complex freeform shapes to a standard practice that intertwines aesthetic arguments,building performance requirements,and material design considerations has the potential for significant practical applications.

6,8-Dimethoxy-3-[2-（4-methoxyphenyl）ethyl]isocoumarin was synthesized by condensation of 5,7-dimethoxyhompophthalic acid with 3-（4-methoxyphenyl）propanoyl chloride. The structure of the synthesized compound was confirmed by its mass spectrometric studies. The synthesized compound serves as a model for synthesis of DL-agrimonolide.

Vegetation-environment relationships in the forests of Chitral district Hindukush range of Pakistan

We investigated the composition of plant communities to quantify their relationships with environmental parameters in the Chitral Hindukush range of Pakistan. We sampled tree vegetation using the Point Centered Quarter （PCQ） method while understory vegetation was sampled in 1.5-m circular quadrats. Cedrus deodara is the national symbol of Pakistan and was dominant in the sampled communities. Because environmental variables determine vegetation types, we analyzed and evaluated edaphic and topographic factors. DCA-Ordination showed the major gradient as an amalgam of elevation （p〈0.05） and slope （p〈0.01） as the topographic factors correlated with species distribution. Soil variables were the factors of environmental significance along DCA axes. However, among these factors, mg2＋ , K ＋ and N2＋ contributed not more than 0.054% 0.20% and 0.073%, respectively, to variation along the first ordination axis. We conclude that the principal reason for weak or no correlation with many edaphic variables was the anthropogenic disturbance of vegetation. The understory vegetation was composed of perennial herbs in most communities and was most dense under the tree canopy. The understory vegetation strongly regulates tree seedling growth and regeneration patterns. We recommend further study of the understory vegetation using permanent plots to aid development of forest regeneration strategies.

Fecal microbes, short chain fatty acids, and colorectal cancer across racial/ethnic groups

AIm:To investigate differences in microbes and short chain fatty acid(SCFA) levels in stool samples from Hispanic and non-Hispanic African American,American Indian,and White ***:Stool samples from twenty participants were subjected to analysis for relative levels of viable bacteria and for SCFA ***,the samples were subjected to 16 S r RNA gene pyrosequencing for identification of bacteria present in the *** used a metagenome functional prediction technique to analyze genome copy numbers and estimate the abundance of butyrate kinase in all ***:We found that African Americans had significantly lower levels of acetate,butyrate,and total SCFAs than all other racial/ethnic *** also found that participant microbial profiles differed by racial/ethnic *** Americans had significantly more Firmicutes than Whites,with enriched *** Firmicutes /Bacteroidetes ratio was also significantly higher for African Americans than for Whites(P =0.049).We found Clostridium levels to be significantly and inversely related to total SCFA levels(P =0.019) and we found Bacteroides to be positively associated(P =0.027) and Clostridium to be negatively associated(P =0.012) with levels of *** also identified a correlation between copy number for a butyrate kinase predicted from 16 S r RNA gene abundance and levels of butyrate in ***:The identified differences in gut flora and SCFA levels may relate to colorectal cancer mortality differentials and may be useful as targets for future clinical and behavioral interventions.

With a continuous threat of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2Dm)worldwide,efforts to discover new alternatives are ongoing for its ***,the use of natural herbal products is promising to achieve this goal as it has been reported to have fewer side effects compared to synthetic *** atroviridis is one of the plants that has been reported to have various therapeutic functions,including antioxidant,antimicrobial,anticancer,anti-inflammatory,and *** study aimed to identify the bioactive compounds and evaluate the antidiabetic and cytotoxic potential of *** fruit aqueous crude *** *** fruit extract demonstrated promising inhibitory potential against theα-amylase andα-glucosidase enzymes with halfmaximal inhibitory concentration(IC50)of 211±0.74μg/ml and 963±0.85μg/ml,*** the IC50 cytotoxicity concentrations of *** extract on L6 cells for 24 h,48 h,and 72 h,are 0.96±0.11 mg/ml,0.63±0.5 mg/ml and 0.45±0.3 mg/ml,*** was noted that the IC50 forα-glucosidase inhibition was higher than the IC50 of L6 cells cytotoxicity for 48 h,and 72 h,however the extract still proved to be viable to help in managing diabetes at lower concentration since there are other properties in the extract that can potentially help in targeting other diabetic therapeutic candidates,such asα-***,through LCmS chromatographic analysis,a library of 62 chemical constituents was *** were put up for further pharmacological screening and molecular docking analyses,and we short-listed 18 potent antidiabetic bioactive ***,molecular dynamics(mD)simulation was performed,which showed stable ligand-protein *** conclusion,the findings of this research demonstrated that *** fruit extract could be an excellent source of bioactive compounds with promising antidiabetic potential.

Water resources response and prediction under climate change in Tao'er River Basin,Northeast China

Climate change has significantly affected hydrological processes and increased the frequency and severity of water shortage,droughts and floods in northeast China.A study has been conducted to quantify the influence of climate change on the hydrologic process in the Tao’er River Basin(TRB),one of the most prominent regions in northeast China for water *** Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT)model was calibrated and validated with observed land use and hydro-climatic data and then employed for runoff simulations at upper,middle and lower reaches of the river basin for different climate change *** results showed that a gradual increase in temperature and decrease in annual precipitation in the basin was projected for the period 2020-2050 for both representative concentration pathways(RCP)4.5 and 8.5 *** climate changes would cause a decrease in annual average runoff at basin outlet by 12 and 23 million m^(3) for RCP4.5 and 8.5,*** future runoff in the upstream and midstream of the basin during 2020-2050 would be-10.8% and-12.1% lower than the observed runoff compared to the base period for RCP4.5,while those would be-5.3% and-10.7%lower for *** future runoff will decrease at three hydrology stations for the assumed future climate *** results can help us understand the future temperature and precipitation trends and the hydrological cycle process under different climate change scenarios,and provide the basis for the rational allocation and management of water resources under the influence of future climate change in the TRB.

Tritrophic interactions between parasitoids and cereal aphids are mediated by nitrogen fertilizer

Host plant nutritional quality can directly and indirectly affect the third trophic levels. The aphid-parasitoid relationship provides an ideal system to investigate tritrophic interactions （as the parasitoids are completely dependent for their development upon their hosts） and assess the bottom up forces operating at different concentrations of nitrogen applications. The effects of varying nitrogen fertilizer on the performance of Aphidius colemani （V.） reared on Sitobion avenae （E） and Aphidius rhopalosiphi （D.） reared on Rhopalosiphum padi （L.） were measured. Parasitism and percent emergence ofparasitoids were positively affected by nitrogen fertilizer treatments while developmental duration （egg, larval, and pupal stages） was not affected by increasing nitrogen inputs. In males and females of both parasitoid species, adult longevity increased with the increasing nitrogen fertilizer. Hind tibia length and mummy weight of both parasitoid species increased with nitrogen fertilizer concentrations, as a result of larger aphids. This study showed that nitrogen application to the soil can have important consequences for aboveground multitrophic interactions.

Spanning tree(τ)has an enormous application in computer science and chemistry to determine the geometric and dynamics analysis of compact *** the field of medicines,it is helpful to recognize the epidemiology of hepatitis C virus(HCV)*** the other hand,Kemeny’s constant(Ω)is a beneficial quantifier characterizing the universal average activities of a markov *** network invariant infers the expressions of the expected number of time-steps required to trace a randomly selected terminus state since a fixed beginning state *** and Loizou determined that the Kemeny’s constant can also be obtained through *** by Levene and Loizou,we deduced the Kemeny’s constant and the number of spanning trees of hexagonal ring network by their normalized Laplacian eigenvalues and the coefficients of the characteristic *** on the achieved results,entirely results are obtained for the m鯾ius hexagonal ring network.
