To the Editor We have read with great enthusiasm the recently published article entitled 'Association of inflammation with atrial fibrillation (AF) in hyperthyroidism' by Ozaydin and coworkers.[1] In that very well-designed study, Ozaydin and coworkers tried to evaluate the relationship between serum levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (HsCRP), as a marker of inflammation and the development of AF in patients with *** concluded that HsCRP, an indicator of inflammation, free T4 and left atrial (LA) diameter are associated with the development AF in patients with hyperthyroidism.

To the editor We read the article Usefulness of the epicardial fat tissue thickness as a diagnostic criterion for geriatric patients with metabolic syndrome by Kaya, et al. The authors aimed to evaluate the epicardial fat tissue thickness （EFT） as a diagnostic criterion for geriatric patients with metabolic syndrome （MetS）. They concluded that EFT levels were higher in geriatric patients with MetS and can therefore be used as a diagnostic criterion for MetS.

To the editor：We read the article by Ma et al1 with a great *** aimed to investigate the potential correlation of red cell distribution width （RDW） with the severity of coronary artery disease （CAD） in a large Chinese cohort from a single *** concluded that the RDW level was significantly higher in patients with CAD than that in normal controls,and the baseline RDW level was an independent predictor for CAD and the severity of coronary stenosis.
