Heteroatom-doped transition metal oxides have attracted great attention as advanced anode materials for lithium-ion batteries due to their high theoretical capacity and superior ***,the limited resource availability has led to a substantial rise in prices for valuable metals such as Ni and Co,posing a significant challenge for their *** address this issue,recycling of these metals from waste materials have gained prominence,and particularly the recovery of Co has been mostly focused on its economic ***,we introduced a novel recycling strategy for fabrication of heteroatomdoped CoOx（comprising mainly Co3O4with a minor CoO phase） anode with a yolk–shell structure for lithium-ion batteries,by separating Co from cemented tungsten carbide *** employing a simple leaching process and subsequent spray pyrolysis,the yolk–shell structured microsphere comprising CoOxwas successfully ***,the presence of other waste metals in the leachate facilitated multi-heteroatom doping during ***,the introduction of various dopants into CoOxinduced oxygen vacancy formation,thereby enhancing the electrochemical properties of the *** a result,compared with the phase-pure （undoped） CoOxyolk–shell,the heteroatom-doped CoOxyolk–shell exhibited robust cycling stability (602 mAh·g-1for 200 cycles at 1 A·g-1) and excellent rate capability(210 mAh·g-1at 10 A·g-1).

Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)have drawn significant attention owing to their high theoretical discharge capacity and energy ***,the dissolution of long-chain polysulfides into the electrolyte during the charge and discharge process(“shuttle effect”)results in fast capacity fading and inferior electrochemical *** this study,Mn_(2)O_(3)with an ordered mesoporous structure(OM-Mn_(2)O_(3))was designed as a cathode host for LSBs via KIT-6 hard templating,to effectively inhibit the polysulfide shuttle ***-Mn_(2)O_(3)offers numerous pores to confine sulfur and tightly anchor the dissolved polysulfides through the combined effects of strong polar-polar interactions,polysulfides,and sulfur chain *** OM-Mn_(2)O_(3)/S composite electrode delivered a discharge capacity of 561 mAh g^(-1) after 250 cycles at 0.5 C owing to the excellent performance of OM-Mn_(2)O_(3).Furthermore,it retained a discharge capacity of 628mA h g^(-1) even at a rate of 2 C,which was significantly higher than that of a pristine sulfur electrode(206mA h g^(-1)).These findings provide a prospective strategy for designing cathode materials for high-performance LSBs.

0.96(K_(0.5)Na_(0.5-z)Li_(z))(Nb_(0.92)Sb_(0.08))O_(3)-0.04(Ca_(0.5)Sr_(0.5))ZrO_(3)[(KN_(0.5-z)L_(z))NS-CSZ]piezoceramics(0≤z≤0.04)were aligned in the[001]orientation using 3%(in mole)NaNbO_(3)templates with a large Lotgering factor(>97%).Their crystal structures transformed from the orthorhombic-pseudocubic(O-P)structure to the orthorhombic-tetragonal-pseudocubic(O-T-P)structure with an increasing *** P structure was interpreted as a rhombohedral R3m *** piezoelectricity of the compositions increased after[001]-texturing,and the enhancement was proportional to the O phase *** composition(z=0.03)exhibited the highest piezoelectric constant(d_(33);670 pC/N)and electromechanical coupling factor(k_(p);0.56).Piezoelectric energy harvesters were produced using the untextured and textured samples(z=0.03).The textured harvester delivered a large power density of 26.6 mW/mm^(3),which was larger than that of the untextured harvester owing to the enhanced kp and d_(33)×g_(33) of the textured piezoceramic.A multilayer actuator was produced using the textured sample(z=0.03),and it exhibited a large acceleration(44.2 G)and displacement(±3,730 mm)at±25 ***,the[001]-textured(KN_(0.47)L_(0.03))NS-CSZ piezoceramic is suitable for piezoelectric energy harvesters and actuators.

In this study, numerical analysis is performed to adopt the equivalence ratio on the high velocity oxygen fuel （HVOF） thermal spray coating systems equipped with a minimum length nozzle. The analysis is applied to investigate the axisymmetric, steady-state, turbulent, and chemically combusting flow both within the torch and in a free jet region between the torch and the substrate to be coated. The combustion is modeled using a single-step and eddy-dissipation model which assumes that the reaction rate is limited by the turbulent mixing rate of the fuel and oxidant. As the diameter of the nozzle throat is increased, the location of the Mach shock disc moves backward from the nozzle exit. As the throat diameter and the divergent portion are 6 mm and 8 mm, respectively, the pressure in the HVOF system is the lowest at the chamber and the expanding gas is steadily maintained with both high velocity and high temperature for different equivalence ratios. Thus, relatively minor amendments of the equivalence ratio and the geometry of HVOF can lead to improved control over coating characteristics.

The evolution of membrane-type electronics has facilitated the development of stick-and-play systems,which confer diverse electrical functions to various planar or arbitrary curvilinear *** stick-and-play concept is based on the development of thin electronic devices in a printable format and their subsequent transfer to target *** development of this technology requires control of the interfacial adhesion of the electronic prints for retrieval from a carrier and transfer to the target ***,we discuss the transfer printing for membrane-type electronics,starting from an overview of materials available for flexible substrates,transfer printing of electronic prints for retrieval,and assembly for further ***,we explain the stick-and-play concept based on fabricated membrane-type electronics;"stick" and “play"refer to the transfer of electronic devices and the performance of their electronic functions,*** particular,we broadly survey various methods based on micro/nanostructures,including gecko-inspired,interlocking,cephalopod-sucker-inspired,and cilia structures,which can be employed to stick-and-play systems for enhancing interfacial adhesion with complex target surfaces under dynamic and wet ***,we highlight the stick-and-play system application of micro/nanostructures for skin-attachable biomedical electronics,e-textiles,and environmental monitoring electronics.

Inhibition behavior of Tragia involucrata L. phenolic compounds against acidic medium corrosion in low carbon steel surface

The antioxidant and anticorrosive effect of Tragia involucrate L.(T. involucrate L.) was evaluated to aid in finding new compounds which can be used for various purposes. The total phenolic(TPC) and flavonoid content(TFC),antioxidant activity(DPPH, reducing potential and phosphomolybdenum), and electrochemical measurements,Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR), UV–visible(UV–vis) spectral analysis, scanning electron microscopy/energydispersive X-ray spectroscopy(SEM–EDX) and atomic force microscopy(AFM) were done to analyze the potency and also the inhibition efficiency of T. involucrate L. against 1 mol·L^(-1) HCl on low carbon steel. The TPC(145.21 mg GAE·g^(-1)), TFC(52.32 mg QCE·g^(-1)) and antioxidant activities were found to be significant. The electrochemical studies performed by AC impedance measurements showed significant changes in impedance spectra without causing any change in Nyquist plots. An increase in charge transfer resistance(Rct) values, a blockage in active sites exhibiting cathodic and anodic inhibition shows the action of inhibitor on low carbon steel. This was later confirmed by FT-IR and UV–vis which showed variation in absorption band at 270 nm and273 nm(before immersion) and 208 and 281 nm(after immersion). The same was tested again by SEM–EDX through altered strength of iron and oxygen bands and using AFM by analyzing the change in average roughness values of low carbon steel before(61.65 nm) and after(97.87 nm) exposure to blank acid without inhibitor, while it was shifted to 81.58 nm in acid with inhibitor. All these results showed strong evidence adding values to T. involucrate L. plant extract in inhibiting corrosion on low carbon steel and by promoting antioxidant importance of the extract which helps in scavenging free radicals.

In this study, chlorine decay experiments were conducted for the raw water from Nakdong River that is treated by Chllseo Water Treatment Plant （CWTP） situated in Haman, Korea as well as the effluents from sand and granular activated carbon （GAC） filters of CWTP and fitted using a chlorine decay model. The model estimated the fast and slow reacting nitrogenous as well as organic/inorganic compounds that were present in the water. It was found that the chlorine demand due to fast and slow reacting （FRA and SRA） organic/inorganic substances was not reduced significantly by sand as well as GAC filters. However, the treated effluents from those filters contained FRA and SRA that are less reactive and had small reaction rate constants. For the effluents from microfiltration, ultrafiltration, and nanofiltration the chlorine demand because FRA and SRA were further reduced but the reaction rate constants were larger compared to those of sand and GAC filter effluents. This has implications in the formation of disinfection by products （DBPs）. If DBPs are assumed to form due to the interactions between chlorine and SRA, then it is possible that the DBP formation potential in the effluents from membrane filtrations could be higher than that in the effluents from granular media filters.

Miscanthus,is a promising bioenergy crop,considered superior to other bioenergy crops because of its higher water and nutrient use efficiency,cold tolerance,and higher production of *** weeds and grass weeds,cause major problems in the Miscanthus field.A field experiment was conducted in 2018 and 2019,to assess the effects of pre-emergence(alachlor and napropamide)and post-emergence herbicides(nicosulfuron,dicamba,bentazon,and glufosinate ammonium)on broadleaf and grass weeds in *** and *** *** weed control efficiency and phytotoxicity of pre-and post-emergence herbicides were evaluated at 30 days after treatment(DAT)and compared to those of the control *** results showed wide variations in the susceptibility of the weed species to the treated *** with nicosulfuron 40 ***^(-1) provided the most effective overall weed control(with 10%visual injury),without affecting the height and biomass of neither Miscanthus species in the ***-emergence herbicides such as glufosinate ammonium 400 ***^(-1) and dicamba 482 ***^(-1) were effective and inhibited the growth and density of the majority of weeds to a 100%;however,they showed significant phytotoxicity(toxicity scale of 1-10)to both species of *** application of glufosinate ammonium caused severe injuries to the foliar region(90%visual injury)of both Miscanthus ***,*** showed a slightly higher tolerance to the herbicides nicosulfuron,bentazon and napropamide with 10%visual injury at the recommended dose than *** present study clearly showed that infestation of broadleaf and grass weeds in Miscanthus fields can cause significant damage to the growth and biomass of Miscanthus and applying pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicides effectively controls the high infestation of these weeds.

As big data,Artificial Intelligence,and Vehicle-to-Everything(V2X)communication have advanced,Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS)are being developed to enable efficient and safe transportation *** Toll Collection(ETC),which is one of the services included in ITS systems,is an automated system that allows vehicles to pass through toll plazas without stopping for manual *** ETC system is widely deployed on highways due to its contribution to stabilizing the overall traffic system *** ensure secure and efficient toll payments,designing a distributed model for sharing toll payment information among untrusted toll service providers is ***,the current ETC system operates under a centralized ***,both toll service providers and toll plazas know the toll usage history of *** raises concerns about revealing the entire driving routes and patterns of *** address these issues,blockchain technology,suitable for secure data management and data sharing in distributed systems,is being applied to the ETC *** enables efficient and transparent management of ETC ***,the public nature of blockchain poses a challenge where users’usage records are exposed to all *** tackle this,we propose a blockchain-based toll ticket model named AnonymousTollPass that considers the privacy of *** proposed model utilizes traceable ring signatures to provide unlinkability between tickets used by a vehicle and prevent the identity of the vehicle using the ticket from being identified among the ring members for the ***,malicious vehicles’identities can be traced when they attempt to reuse *** conducting simulations,we show the effectiveness of the proposed model and demonstrate that gas fees required for executing the proposed smart contracts are only 10%(when the ring size is 50)of the fees required in previous studies.
