In this paper,a fast and effective method based on multiple image features and a weighted K-means clustering algorithm is proposed to achieve the automatic grading of *** method provides a novel way of using four images(top,bottom and two sides)and average gray values for each apple to distinguish between the apple defects,stem and ***,weighted features(MCSAD(maximum cross-sectional average diameter),circularity,PRA(proportion of red area)and defect regions)were carefully selected according to the requirements of the national apple grading standard,which improves the practicality of the proposed ***,qualitative and quantitative evaluation results demonstrate that the total accuracy of the proposed multi-feature grading method is greater than 96%,which provides encouragement for the additional research and implementation of multifeature automatic grading for the fruit industry.

Microgrids have presented themselves as an effective concept to guarantee a reliable,efficient and sustainable electricity delivery during the current transition era from passive to active distribution ***,microgrids could offer effective ancillary services(AS)to the power utility,although this will not be possible before the traditional planning and operation methodologies are ***,a probabilistic multi-objective microgrid planning(POMMP)methodology is proposed in this paper to contemplate the large number of variables,multiple objectives,and different constraints and uncertainties involved in the microgrid *** planning methodology is based on the optimal size and location of energy distributed resources with the goal of minimizing the mismatch power in islanded mode,while the residual power for AS provision and the investment and operation costs of the microgrid in grid-connected mode are maximized and minimized,*** that purpose,probabilistic models and a true multi-objective optimization problem are implemented in the *** methodology is tested in an adapted PG&e 69-bus distribution system and the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithmⅡ(NSGA-Ⅱ)optimization method and an analytic hierarchy process for decision-making are used to solve the optimization problem.

Fecal samples or cloacal swabs are preferred over lethal dissections to study vertebrate gut microbiota for ethical reasons,but it remains unclear which nonlethal methods provide more accurate information about gut *** compared the bacterial communities of three gastrointestinal tract(GIT)segments,that is,stomach,small intestine(midgut),and rectum(hindgut)with the bacterial communities of the cloaca and feces in the mesquite lizard Sceloporus *** hindgut had the highest taxonomic and functional alpha diversity,followed by midgut and feces,whereas the stomach and cloaca showed the lowest *** taxonomic assemblages of the GIT segments at the phylum level were strongly correlated with those retrieved from feces and cloacal swabs(rs>0.84 in all cases).The turnover ratio of Amplicon Sequence Variants(ASVs)between midgut and hindgut and the feces was lower than the ratio between these segments and the *** than half of the core-ASVs in the midgut(24 of 32)and hindgut(58 of 97)were also found in feces,while less than 5 were found in the *** the ASVs level,however,the structure of the bacterial communities of the midgut and hindgut were similar to those detected in feces and *** findings suggest that fecal samples and cloacal swabs of spiny lizards provide a good approximation of the taxonomic assemblages and beta diversity of midgut and hindgut microbiota,while feces better represent the bacterial communities of the intestinal segments at a single nucleotide variation level than cloacal swabs.

In this work two aspects of theory of frames are presented: a side necessary condition on irregular wavelet frames is obtained, another perturbation of wavelet and Gabor frames is considered. Specifically, we present the results obtained on frame stability when one disturbs the mother of wavelet frame, or the parameter of dilatation, and in Gabor frames when the generating function or the parameter of translation are perturbed. In all cases we work without demanding compactness of the support, neither on the generating function, nor on its Fourier transform.

High philopatry rates of Yellow-legged Gulls in the southeastern part of the Bay of Biscay

Background:Philopatry rate is one of the main factors shaping population dynamics in colonial *** rates of philopatry are linked to populations with high dispersal,while high rates are linked to populations with a very high spatial structure pattern(i.e.,metapopulations).The Cantabrian Yellow-legged Gull(Larus michahellis)population is considered to be resident,with relatively low dispersal *** estimations of its philopatry rates are however still ***,we aimed to estimate philopatry rates in the main Yellow-legged Gull colonies of the province of Gipuzkoa,in the southeastern part of the Bay of ***:We analysed 734 resightings,during the breeding season at the colonies of Getaria,Santa Clara and Ulia,relative to a total of 3245 individuals ringed at birth in these same colonies during a period of 13 *** data were analysed using Multi-State Recapture models in ***:After controlling survival and resighting probability,the average dispersal rate among colonies was 4%(±SD=2%)when individuals are immature,decreasing to 1±1%)for adult breeding gulls(i.e.,philopatry rate was 99%).Annual survival rates were assessed to be 0.27±0.02 for birds in their first year of life and 0.87±0.01 for older *** probability of observing immature birds in the colonies was 0.08±0.01,as compared to 0.21±0.02 in adult ***:We obtained evidence of extremely high local philopatry rates,clearly within the upper limit found in gulls.A high philopatry favour a speciation in these species who are vulnerable to obtain the main food source(land-fills and fishing discard)which are transforming under new ecological process.

The tyrosine kinase receptor vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 （VeG FR2） is a key regulator of angiogenesis. Here we show that VeGFR2 is acetylated in endothelial cells both at four lysine residues forming a dense cluster in the kinase insert domain and at a single lysine located in the receptor activation loop. These modifications are under dynamic control of the acetyltransferase p300 and two deacetyiases HDAC5 and HDAC6. We demonstrate that VeGFR2 acetylation essentially regulates receptor phosphorylation. In par- ticular, VeGFR2 acetylation significantly alters the kinetics of receptor phosphorylation after ligand binding, allowing receptor phos- phoryiation and intraceUular signaling upon proLonged stimulation with VeGF. Molecular dynamics simulations indicate that acetylation of the lysine in the activation loop contributes to the transition to an open active state, in which tyrosine phosphorylation is favored by better exposure of the kinase target residues. These findings indicate that post-translational modification by acetyiation is a critical mechanism that directLy affects VeGFR2 function.
