Prediction of the melting Paths of Wollastonite-Containing Compositions

The article analyzed the main groups of thermal insulation(TIm)and slag-forming(SFm)mixtures produced by leading foreign companies:acidic ones based on the SiO2–Al2O3 system,basic ones based on the CaO–mgO–Al2O3 system and medium basic ones based on the CaO(mgO)system–Al2O3–*** is shown that achieving the necessary properties of the SFm and TIm requires strict observance of the mass content of the components of mixtures produced on the basis of synthetic materials in granular form with a given *** with a given composition and dispersion is associated with the need to provide a given melting temperature(for intermediate ladles 1250–1450℃,for molds 950–1150℃),neutrality to the cast metal,protection of the melt from secondary oxidation,minimization of heat loss from the melt mirror,absorption of non-metallic inclusions of various natures(Al2O3,CaO,SiO2,TiO2,less often mgO-containing)and sizes;as well as a number of specific requirements:compatibility with the working layer of the lining of the bucket,maintaining the work of the stoppers,minimizing harmful gaseous emissions,*** is known that Al2O3,TixOy,and CaO refractory inclusions in steel cause the majority of defects on the surface of a cold-rolled sheet,therefore,the aim of the work was to analyze the physicochemical regularities and melting paths of the wollastonite-containing compositions during the assimilation of nonmetallic inclusions by *** analyze the melting paths of the wollastonite-containing compositions in the CaO–Al2O3–SiO2 system,a diagram of the primary crystallization field of anorthite and the adjacent boundary curves is shown,indicating the directions of temperature drop and designating invariant *** presented scheme adequately reflects the topological regularities of the state diagram of the CaO–Al2O3–SiO2 *** analyze the melting paths of the wollastonite-containing SFm compositions during the assimilation of TiOx impurities from steel melts,a diagram of

Cavitation Increases the Ratio of Ortho/Para-H₂O Isomers in Water and Reduces Its Viscosity

For the first time, we found that cavitation treatment of water increases the number of ortho-H2O isomers by 12% - 15%, which was confirmed in experiments on a tomograph. From this, it was suggested that the O/P ratio is a key factor in reducing the viscosity of water. The most significant decrease in the viscosity of an aqueous suspension of hemoglobin molecules with an increase in its concentration was measured earlier in the vicinity of a temperature of 37°C. The mechanism of the observed phenomena is discussed.

Fluctuating fine-scale spatial genetic structure in the common shrews (Eulipotyphla, mammalia)

The spatial genetic structure is a topical issue in the studies of various aspects of ecology and *** the multilocus autocorrelation method with hypervariable microsatellite genetic markers,we investigated aﬁne-scale pattern of genetic structure in 5 local populations of the common shrew Sorex araneus separated by distances of 300–1000 m(the moscow chromosomal race).Spatial genetic autocorrelation analysis based on 5 microsatellite loci(expected heterozygosity>0.79)with 90 alleles revealed a consistent pattern of signiﬁcant positive genetic *** testing the autocorrelation at multiple scales from 25 to 500 m,we found that positive spatial genetic structure is detectable in distance classes ofmber of captures).In contrast to nonresident animals,the residents demonstrated prominent genetic *** difference(FST)between the populations was signiﬁcant(0.016–0.051)and comparable with that between populations of different races analyzed previously(0.016–0.038).FST was not associated with geographic *** demographic patterns allowed us to propose a scheme of genetic-structure dynamics involving periodic appearance of more related local groups and renewal of allelic proﬁles fromаcommon pool where the alleles are *** scheme predictsﬂuctuating genetic structure and random similar differences among local populations.

Cu-Au nanoparticles produced by the aggregation of gas-phase metal atoms for CO oxidation

Alloy nanoparticles(nanoalloys)are widely applied in heterogeneous catalysts,advanced electrodes,biomaterials,and other *** properties of nanoalloys can be tuned to a significant extent by their structures and compositions,which are governed by the employed synthetic *** such synthesis occurs in nonequilibrium conditions and yields nanoalloys with structures and properties that are different from those obtained in thermodynamic *** this work,we characterize how the non-equilibrium conditions during the synthesis of Cu-Au alloys via physical vapor deposition(PVD)affect their morphology,composition,electronic structure,and reactivity in CO *** used molecular dynamics to simulate the PVD synthesis of Cu-Au nanoalloys through the non-isothermal aggregation of Cu and Au atoms at a 3:1 ratio in the Ar atmosphere to obtain realistic structures of Cu-Au *** to the different aggregation kinetics of Au and Cu atoms,the average Au concentration in the obtained Cu-Au particles varied between 14% and 50% depending on the nanoparticle size and the aggregation *** functional simulations revealed that the reactivity of the obtained Cu-Au clusters toward CO and oxygen as well as Brønsted-Evans-Polanyi relations for CO oxidation significantly depend on whether the clusters had fcc,icosahedral,or amorphous structures and do not strongly correlate with the d-band centers of the adsorption *** study highlights the importance of the non-equilibrium character of nanoalloy structure and composition for their electronic structure and catalytic *** performed analysis of the reactivity of Cu-Au clusters with realistic structures in CO oxidation will help the optimization of Cu-Au catalysts for this societally important reaction.

Intake of Cl, Br, I, Se in Human Body with Food in Central Regions of the European Part of Russia

Since most of the central regions of the European part of Russia are considered selenium and iodine deficient, the assessment of modern real consumption of chlorine, bromine, iodine and selenium by population of these regions with different diets is an important constituent part of medical monitoring. In this paper, a brief analysis of the impact of these elements on the human body is given. A number of consumed foodstuffs in different food rations (diets) were assessed. Six selected basic food rations, which most fully reflect the specific features of nutrition in the Russian Federation, were chosen. The analysis of the concentration of chlorine, bromine, iodine and selenium in a wide range of food and agricultural products was carried out. The daily intake of these elements in the human body from the selected diets was calculated. A comparison of the real income of chlorine, bromine, iodine and selenium in the human body with a physiologically needed intake was performed. It is proposed to use the coefficient of Kr, which is the ratio of actual intake of the element in the human body to physiologically needed intake. Based on this analysis assessed insufficient or excess supply of chlorine, bromine, iodine and selenium in the human body with these diets in the central regions of the European part of Russia was evaluated.

Generation of dual and quad‑optical frequency combs in the injected radiation free mode‑locked frequency‑shifted feedback laser

Development of melanoma and Cancer without Decreasing of Cambial Cells Number in morphofunctional Zones

In age groups from 20 to 60 years old, proliferation and differentiation of cells happen in a morphofunctional zone, in the electric field excited by 12 pairs of mother and daughter cells, turned out at cambial cells division. Thus in daughter cells the Src SH2 domain necessary both for cytoskeleton formation and tyrosinase activization is activated. If the conditions for strengthening of tyrosinase activity are created in organism, the portion of Src participating in the cytoskeleton building can decrease to critical level that will lead to development of a malignant tumor. If action of a stimulating factor is quite strong, proliferation of malignant cells begins at a stage of melanocyte, and a melanoma occurs. If action of factors is long and not strong, more remote descendants of daughter cells proliferate, and a cancer appears. In order that there will be a normal differentiation of malignantly changed daughter cells, it is necessary to block the tyrosinase. Thus all SH2 domains will go on cell cytoskeleton formation.

Single and multi domain buckled germanene phases on Al(111)surface

The simultaneous formati on of single domain(3×3)and multi domai n(√7×√7)R(±19.1°)germa nene phases on Al(111)surface in thesub-monolayer range was studied using seanning tunneling microscopy(STm)and density functional theory(DFT)based *** results revealed that both germa nene phases nu cleate and grow in dependently from each other and regardless of Al substratetemperature within significantly expanded range Ts=27-200℃.Our results unambiguously showed that STm images with hexagonalcontrast yield correct-resolved structure for both germanene phases,while honeycomb contrast is a result of an artificial tip-induced STm ***-principles calculations suggested atomic models with strongly buckled germanene(2×2)/Al(111)(3×3)and(√3×√3)R30°/Al(111)(√7×√7)R(±19.1°)with one of eight and one of six Ge atoms protruding upward respectively,that consistently describe the experimentally observed STm images both for single and multi domai n surface *** to the DFT based simulati ons both germa nene(2×2)and(√3×√3)R30°superstructures have a stretched lattice strain with respect to the ideal free-standing germa nene by 6.2%and 13.9%,***,numerous small domains separated by domain boundaries in the(√3×√3)R30°/Al(111)(√7×√7)R(±19.1°)germanenephase tend to reduce the surface energy and prevent the formation of extended single domains,in contrast to the(2×2)/Al(111)(3×3)***,our experimental results showed that the nucleation and growth of germa nene on Al(111)surface yield strong modifications of Alsurface even at room temperature(RT),which may be contributed to the formation of Al-Ge alloy due to Ge surface solid-states reactivitythat was ignored in recent *** is already evident from our present findings that the role of Al atoms in the formation of(3×3)and(√7×√7)R(±19.1°)germa nene phases is worthy to be carefully studied in the future,which could be an important knowledge for large-quantityfabrication of germane
